A Tale of Two Campaigns, Huge Crowds Greet Romney & Ryan in North Carolina, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) Welcomed by 10,000 in Waukesha, WI as Home Town Hero … Obama Plays to Half Empty Fundraiser in Chicago

It’s a tale of two campaign … It was the best of times (Romney-Ryan), it was the worst of times (Obama-Biden) …

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way – in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

Huge crowds greet Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in North Carolina as opposed to an Obama half empty fund raiser in Chicago. My what a difference four years makes. The Democrat pundits can spin all they want that the choice of Ryan for Romney’s VP is what they wanted. However, don’t ask for things it might come true. Paul Ryan has obviously ignited the Mitt Romney campaign and has energized Republicans.  As stated by the Astute Blogger, even the NY Times had to admit that the ROMNEY-RYAN ticket is a hot ticket.

Not to mention the over 10,000 that greeted Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in High Point, NC earlier today. also, huge crowds greeted Romney and Ryan as they traveled through North Carolina ion their bus tour. Before an enthusiastic crowd earlier in the morning in Mooresville, NC Romney stated, “I have selected this man to be my running mate because I want to change Washington”.

Campaign officials for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney tell The Daily Caller that well over 10,000 people attended a campaign rally at High Point’s Absolute Style Furniture showroom Sunday. The campaign estimates that 1,200 people were inside the venue while another 10,000 were outside.

The event, part of the campaign’s “Romney Plan for a Stronger Middle Class” bus tour, came a day after Romney named Wisconsin Republican Rep. Paul Ryan as his running mate.

Guilford County Republican Party chairman Al Bouldin told the Greensboro, N.C. News & Record in advance of the event that enthusiasm for the ticket is high following the Ryan pick.

“I think that most Americans will be very excited over this ticket, and I think that the crowds that are going to show up in High Point will be a good example of that excitement level,” he said.

Large, enthusiastic and excited crowds showed up in Manassas, VA  yesterday  to welcome Romney and Ryan. Check out Marooned in Marin for pics of the event.

But the same could not be said for President Barack Obama as his home town Chicago, IL fundraiser. At the $51 admission fundsariser the room was only half full.  The fund-raiser designed for younger supporters, that took place at the Bridgeport Arts Center, a collection of studio and gallery space south of Chicago’s downtown. OBAMA-BIDEn 2012 “YAWN”!!! Guess s certain “One” is having an issue with the youth vote.

Then there was Paul Ryan’s triumphant return to Waukesha, WI. As reported at the Politico, Rep. Paul Ryan (WI-R) wasn’t the vice presidential nominee Sunday night here, he was the hometown hero. Ten thousand people showed up tonight in Waukesha to great Romney and Ryan as Ryan said to the adoring crowd, this is a “special moment” not just for him, but for the country.

Arriving here at an early evening rally, Romney and Ryan made what can only be described as a movie star entrance, riding in on the Romney campaign bus and then making their way through the crowd to the soundtrack of the movie, “Air Force One.”

Upon taking the stage, Ryan become visibly emotional, wiping his eyes. He blew kisses to the crowd. His first words on the stump were, “Hi, Mom.”

Joking that half the crowd were his relatives, Ryan talked up his Midwestern roots and his love for his home state.

“My veins run with cheese, bratwurst, and a little Spotted Cow and some Millers,” Ryan said, his voice cracking with emotion. “I even think ice fishing is interesting.” [...]

He trashed Obama for failing to turn the country around and insisted the future of the nation is at stake this November.

“It is our duty to save the American dream for our children,” Ryan said.

Taking the stage moments later, Romney said he had gotten tears in his eyes watching the “welcome” the crowd here had given his potential VP. But moments later, Romney was interrupted by a protestor, whom the GOP candidate publicly scolded from the stage as he was escorted out of the event for not having “respect” to allow others to voice their opinions.

UPDATE I: The liberal MSM at the Politico is quick to defend Obama’s half empty fundraiser by saying it was more than they had planned for. Because everyone sets up for a fundraiser twice the size than what is expected. Sounds like Obama’s empty campaign kickoff at Ohio State.

But the crowd for the afternoon fundraiser at the Bridgeport Art Center totaled 1,000, an Obama campaign official said – more than the 850-person estimate the campaign offered earlier in the weekend. Tickets for the Gen44 fundraiser, targeted at younger supporters, started at $51, but many were more expensive.

Ten thousand at each of two rallies and all those in between. This should tell the social/democrats that few like the “hope and change” of four years ago.

We need new leadership in the white house and a lot of new conservatives in the House and Senate.

TG we don’t need new leadership, we need a leader period. The last 4 years have shown us what putting somebody with zero experience in our house will do. It is a failed experiment that has cost this country dearly. Sad very sad is the people that would still pull the lever for him and I am ashamed to say that I know at least one of them and no matter what you say he will not change his mind.

[...] This was truly a touching and moving moment in Mitt Romney’s speech last night at Paul Ryan’s home coming in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Governor Romney told an inspiring story about the 9-11 World Trade Center Flag being carried into the Salt Lake City Games as the United States National Anthem was played. Governor Romney and his newly selected VP candidate Paul Ryan spoke in front of a crowd of 10,000  in Wisconsin. [...]

I live 50 miles from Roanoke, VA where Obama flippantly told the crowd if they had a business they didn’t build it themselves. Insulting to those of us who have or currently run a business.

Now Biden visits Danville today which is a short distance from Roanoke, VA. Doofus proclaims that Danville can help Obama win for NORTH CAROLINA! Yupperoo. He seemed to forget which state he was in.

I’ve got to wonder if Zero and Biden are in a contest to see which of them can have the most ignorant statement come out of their mouth in the state of Virginia. Between Zero’s 57 states and Biden thinking that although he’s visiting VIRGINIA today he just might be in North Carolina….oh my.
