Barack Obama is Carteresque … Gas Prices Grow More Under Obama Than Jimmy Carter

As we have stated so many times in the past, Barack Obama is not Lincolnesque or Reaganesque … Obama is Carteresque.

Not only do Obama and Carter have a poor economy and jobs in common, but rising gas prices as well. Gas prices have more than doubled during the Carter and Obama administrations. Under the Carter administration, gas prices increased by 103.77% while gas prices have have risen by 103.79% since Obama took office. I guess Obama has got his wish when he stated he wanted gas prices to increase (VIDEO).

Marking the similarities between President Barack Obama’s time in office and former president Jimmy Carter’s is nothing new. But as of Monday, Obama has hit one more Carter benchmark – both saw gas prices double in their first term of office. [See Where Gas Prices are Spiking the Most]

In fact, while just barely, Obama has seen an even higher gas price increase than Carter dealt with under his administration.

Under the Carter administration, gas prices increased by 103.77 percent. Gas prices since Obama took office have risen by 103.79 percent.

Presently, the average gas prices in the United States are 3.927 a gallon.

Check out the web site … To Much at the Pump to see just how much more you are paying today in gas than you were prior to Obama taking office. So tell me America, are you better off today with Barack Obama as President? Remember that answer in the 2012 election.

      Expensive gas and hot air…..
      the primary ingredients of
      Obama’s phony speeches.

With Gas Prices at an all time high to actually SURPASS Carter’s Presidency, I am just disgusted that I paid $3.97 at the pump and there is every indication the prices will keep on climbing.

The Real Estate Market has still not recovered, and thousands, if not hundreds of thousands have simply GIVEN UP on even looking for any work above minimum wage.

We won’t even get in to the FAILED budgetary problems this Administration faced, failed BAILOUTS, the massive deficit and FAILURE at trying to force Government mandated healthcare down America’s throats.

All we keep hearing from Obama (after 4 years in) is- Well, look what I inherited, and yes, it’s bad- but I have made it better.

      REALLY? Uhmmmn, NO!

Please America do NOT be fooled again. You may not love Mitt Romney or find him particularly endearing, but if there is one thing Romney knows—it’s NUMBERS, JOBS, ECONOMY. He is a great and effective BusinessMan, has experience as a Governor and with Politics and general and is excellent at MAKING THINGS WORK!

Mitt is the go-to Guy in terms of making things operate smoothly. Stop bashing the guy and picking him apart—give him a chance. He is our only chance at present!

Ha! And look at the “Jobs Act” Obama just signed.

Read for yourself what a SHAM this is:

Scared Monkeys: Gas Prices Grow More Under Obama Than Jimmy Carter

That’s a misleading comparison. The financial meltdown caused a precipitous decline in gas and oil prices due to the impending recession. Prices have now returned to about where they were before the financial crisis began. Prices are still high, but clearly not due to the policies of a single U.S. administration.

It’s important to note that oil prices are set by global markets. As long as China and India continue to expand rapidly, there will be little slack in the markets. The consequent of that is increasing prices with sharp spikes when there is threat of disruption.

SM: You folks on the LEFT, get some credibility, will ya? You blamed GWB for the high gas prices but your Obamamessiah is without fault. Spare me. Of course Obama hate of “BIG OIL” has nothing to do with it. Obama can do no wrong.

Trust me, of Obama was replaced tomorrow by a Republican … govt land was opened up for drilling and regulations eased, jobs growth would go up and gas prices down.

There are two things driving the higher gasoline prices at the pump. They are hidden inflation from the feds manipulating the money supply and the fact that for three and one-half years the department of energy has done everything in its power to spend money on worthless green energy while preventing fossile energy development.

That doesn’t explain why gas prices today are about where they were before the financial crisis.

SM: Then admit it now … were the high gas prices under W his fault?

Sorry, but this is one of the things that when you are in charge, you are responsible for. Do you honestly think that if gas prices were $1.05 that Obama would not be taking credit for it? Hmm?

To do with what? Gas prices are about where they were before the financial crisis.

As we said, the primary problem is that there is little slack in the global oil markets due to rapid growth of demand in the developing world. Any disruption to the supply chain can cause a spike in prices.

      lol…republican defense….you can’t blame Bush

      well…nobody did?

      oil prices are global.
automobile usage in china is going up and up and guess what cars need to drive…fuel. ergo -> more fuel is needed in China -> prices go up.

The Gulf production is still to low.
Prduction in Libya was gone for a while

yep…Obama should do something about it…

“Trust me, of Obama was replaced tomorrow by a Republican … govt land was opened up for drilling and regulations eased, jobs growth would go up and gas prices down.”

ofcourse…give it free and tomorrow there will be oil…after a few years nothing will be able to live there due to severe enviromental issues.

      Good idea!
