Chicago Tribune Editor Opines … Why Barack Obama Should Withdraw from the 2012 Presidential Election

How bad has it got for Barack Obama and Democrats when the Presidents own home town newspaper is discussing the idea that Obama should step down and withdraw from the 2012 Presidential election? Obama said just last week that he thought that his elections chances for victory were better in 2012 than 2008 … the Chicago Tribune thinks otherwise. Steve Chapman ponders, with an unemployment rate over 9%, no jobs being created, on the verge of a double dip recession and the fact that second terms usually lead to more problems for presidents, why doesn’t Obama just leave now instead of getting the axe in 2012?

When Ronald Reagan ran for re-election in 1984, his slogan was “Morning in America.” For Barack Obama, it’s more like midnight in a coal mine.

The sputtering economy is about to stall out, unemployment is high, his jobs program may not pass, foreclosures are rampant and the poor guy can’t even sneak a cigarette.

His approval rating is at its lowest level ever. His party just lost two House electionsone in a district it had held for 88 consecutive years. He’s staked his future on the jobs bill, which most Americans don’t think would work.

The vultures are starting to circle. Former White House spokesman Bill Burton said that unless Obama can rally the Democratic base, which is disillusioned with him, “it’s going to be impossible for the president to win.” Democratic consultant James Carville had one word of advice for Obama: “Panic.”

What does this mean when Obama’s home town newspaper contemplates The One bowing out of the 2012 Presidential election? Why would anyone of the LEFT or the MSM think of the unthinkable if Obama was going to win? Of course they mention the problems with a Presidential second term, especially since it looks like the GOP will control the House and the US Senate. There is a reference of scandals that might arise. Did some one say scandals … you mean like the ones that already exist like “Fast & Furious” and Solyndra-gate”?

However, does one really think that some with an ego like Obama would step down for the sake of his party and have some like say, Hillary Clinton run? There is no love loss between the Obama and the Clinton’s. Obama has felt with the Clinton’s like something out of The Godfather, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Now suddenly Obama would give up running for a second term and have Hillary ride in on the white horse, complete with white hat … NEVER.  After all, Obama thinks he is going to win. Of course he is ignoring the fact that he is polling lower with pretty much every voting demographic including Whites, Blacks and Hispanicsadd Jews to the list as well.

Just as Obama refuses to admit that Obamacare is a night more, his $787 billion stimulus plan was a disaster and his presidency has been an epic failure … Obama stepping down will be an admission that the last 4 years have been something that no one would want to repeat. It is beyond comprehension that Obama would not run in 2012, after all how will he give up weekend golfing and trips to Martha’s Vineyard without a fight.

Speak for yourself. I think Obama is the exact type of president this country needs right now. It is true that most of the problems this country faces are NOT his fault. The Republicans unwillingness to compromise in an meaningful way is the real problem, not Obama.

It’s the Republican problems. From the beginning they want Obama to fail which mean that let the American people to go suffer so that Obama will not win athe next election. And you know what, Obama will still get elected for second terms.

And you know what, Obama will still get elected for second terms, he will get the last laugh. Republicans play a lot of politics, they don’t want prosperity for the American people, their motives only is to put down the president.

SM: Does Obama and Democrats take responsibility for anything?

Who had control of the White House, the Senate and the House for the first 2 years of Obama? That’s right, it would be the Democrats and all they did was make matters worse.

      Obama pulled himself down.

Obama is a TOTAL DISASTER as a president. Nothing this guy has done has worked, and all he has done is bring the country crappy socialized medicine and add $5 trillion more in debt.
This guy has been in over his head from the git-go but the damned democrats won’t admit it. THis is what you get when you elect a “Community Organizer” with 173 days of experience! Now he figures that the way to short-term fix things and get re-elected, is to tax and spend another almost $500 billion dollars. Now there’e a brilliant idea !!! This guy spends our money like a drunken sailor (sorry to any actual drunken sailors out there, to put you in the same category as this bum…).

Now you don’t want a list of his accomplishments do you? You can google that and the list is too long !!

The man is not only brilliant but also a true patriot with his concern for ALL Americans . Of course he is shackled by what he has been left, but it is difficult to explain to the masses what it is we would have faced had he not pursued the way he has . He will win!!!

SM: Sure we want List his accomplishments, there just aren’t any.

Th list is not too long, its invisible. Obama is not concerned for all Americans, it is obvious that he is only concerned for those who vote and provide campaign donations.

The two libtards that posted the very tired libtard and totally predictable talking points:

      “It’s the Republican’s problems…yada yada yada”

“You can google his accomplishments…yada yada yada” This moronic statement made me spit out my coffee. Only a pea-brain would use google as a tool to get his accomplishments; the same company that is in the pocket of the messiah himself….

It quite obvious that neither or you have been paying attention; and your followers or what I like to call “SHEEPLE.” You have no idea what you are talking about. Only 68% of LIBTARDS approve; down 13%…you don’t think that’s a problem. He’s down in the 30′s with Independents.

Without googling…LOL…list one of his accomplishments that have helped domestically and foreign policy-wise…that have HELPED our country move forward?

He’s a crook; and this will come to light with the investigation into his two green companies who received almost a BILLION dollars of our tax money and have failed; testimony being steered. It’s now two high ranking officials who have come forward and more will come out.

His jobs plans does not create any jobs. Raising Capital Gains and taxing the “billionaires” is going to kill the economy and not even knock off a percentage of the debt. These taxes will trickle down to the middle class you morons.

Oh; African American unemployment is at it’s highest and the gap was widened under Obama.

Oh; and did any one watch the 60 minutes interview with the brave Marine that got the medal of honor and his story of the botched communication or pure negligence that got four Marines killed? It’s just another example of the
      Ineptitude of this adminstration.

He’s not only kept troops in Iraq and Afghanistan; he’s put troops ON THE GROUND in Libya and Egypt and most likely Syria.

He’s has destroyed our relationship with Isreal and has put that country in dire danger of being attacked.

#7…you want to put your money where your mouth is with your moronic “he will win.”

The 2010 Elections showed what Americans wanted; less spending; tax cuts, etc…things that have through history have proven to work; ask Bill Clinton…NEVER in history has raising taxes ever worked…NEVER!

Red is absolutely correct; Obama controlled all 3 houses and spent us into oblivion; more than all the Presidents before him combined; didn’t worry about jobs as the stimulus failed and actually caused an increase of the unemployment rate to 10%; which is actually higher than that..

He’s done. The only way is if he steals the election thru his ACORN cronies and the fraud that comes with it; which helped him steal the election from Hillary.

      He’s done!

Please re-read post number 8, take a deep breath and let it all sink in.

You are a dumbass. Plain and simple.
