Obama Releases Quarterly Report On Stimulus Bill Shows Each Job Cost Taxpayers $278,000
More from the most transparent Administration ever … Barack Obama does document dump on the Friday of a long holiday weekend. More Obamanomics, while you were sleeping and enjoying the 4th of July …
From the Weekly Standard comes the following that Obama did not want “We the People” to see … Obama releases quarterly report On his ill-fated stimulus bill that shows that each jobs cost taxpayers $278,000. What a shock that Obama would want to release this under the cloak of a holiday. As Weasel Zippers states, “loose lips sink wannabe dictatorships”.
The report was written by the White House’s Council of Economic Advisors, a group of three economists who were all handpicked by Obama, and it chronicles the alleged success of the “stimulus” in adding or saving jobs. The council reports that, using “mainstream estimates of economic multipliers for the effects of fiscal stimulus” (which it describes as a “natural way to estimate the effects of” the legislation), the “stimulus” has added or saved just under 2.4 million jobs — whether private or public — at a cost (to date) of $666 billion. That’s a cost to taxpayers of $278,000 per job.
In other words, the government could simply have cut a $100,000 check to everyone whose employment was allegedly made possible by the “stimulus,” and taxpayers would have come out $427 billion ahead.
As further emphasized by Doug Ross, “it turns out that the Obama administration could have written a $100,000 check to each person whose employment was allegedly saved by the “Stimulus” and saved $427 billion”. Thanks Barack Obama, your stimulus was a complete and utter failure and further added to the debt.

you can still get your point across without lying about the contents of the report.
The report says, in multiple places:
“As of the first quarter of 2011, the report estimates that the Recovery Act raised employment by 2.4 to 3.6 million jobs relative to what it otherwise would have been.”
So why say it claims “just under 2.4 million” when that is clearly not what it says? Redo the math with the actual numbers and its not that much better, so why hurt your credibility?

Story ends with: “Thanks Barack Obama, your stimulus was a complete and utter failure and further added to the debt.”
SM, this is another lie, it saved every job BHO wanted it too and you know it.

Disagree. You quoted misinformation and you didn’t bother to verify; even after I called it out. Your source is bad. Click on your source, then click on their source, and “chain of truth” is broken.
So Why misrepresent the facts? The over-simplified conclusion drawn wouldn’t have changed be using the correct figures. But it is a slippery slope. Once the weekly standard changes “2.4-3.6 million” into “Just Under 2.4 million” then the next guy can say “a little over 2 million” and so on, like a preschool game of telephone.

Not only has the stimulus been a failure, the so called jobs saved is a total Obama BS lie and a metric that cannot be measured. The jobs that were created in many cases were not permanent.
Trust me, I will stand by my facts and will gladly have the debate with Obama in 2012 as to his complete failure as a President to crate an environment for job creation. This clown was voted to office to fix the economy. He has not done so.
he and his ilk need to go.
they are out to ruin our country.
we outnumber them so lets roll in 2012! get these anti-americans, commies, back under their rocks where they come from.
Flippy the Sheeple…unreal…in fact, Red is correct; many of those jobs were governement; two year jobs…not permanent….
The unemployment rate is still at 9.1% when he said it wouldn’t go over 8%….Your leader Sheep; Obama is joked about how their were no shovel ready jobs….get a clue and get Obama’s jizz from your eyes you left wing nutjob!
yeah, MOST of those jobs were gov’t positions paid for with even more tax dollars.
Read in one of my local papers/columns that in June the jobs jumped, and HALF of them were for McDonald’s summer positions. Yet Obama had bragged about that number. I had to laugh so I wouldn’t vomit.
Another things that irks me is I live in an area in the south that was hit by one of the tornados in early April. Our downtown area was devastated and FEMA turned us down although the neighborhood nearby was almost completely destroyed. About half of those folks had zero insurance. Same week we found out no FEMA help it was announced the great pretender and rest of G8 had promised 3 Billion dollars in aid to the Arab nations. Yup, to another country that is oil rich. Imagine that? Not just the GOP courts the oil rich countries now, do they? (I’m independent, so I am frustrated with both major parties.)
Oh dear…2nd comment got spammed
