RSSUS House of Representatives Set to Repeal Obamacare
The GOP controlled House is set to go forward with the repeal of Obamacare. The process will resume following its postponement this week due to the Arizona mass killings at the hands of Jared Loughner that left six dead and US Rep. Gabby Giffords (AZ-D) critically injured. However, the process will begin next week by the GOP controlled House to fulfill their campaign promise to repeal Obamacare, that Democrats passed against the will of the people.
The U.S. House of Representatives will resume action next week on repealing President Barack Obama’s landmark healthcare overhaul, a House Republican spokesman said on Thursday.
The House had been expected to act this week on the repeal bill, but the vote was postponed after a shooting spree in Arizona killed six people and critically wounded U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords.
“As the White House noted, it is important for Congress to get back to work, and to that end we will resume thoughtful consideration of the health care bill next week,” said Brad Dayspring, a spokesman for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

“we will resume thoughtful consideration of the health care bill”
I am going to need a new dictionary for thoughtful consideration, if that is what the GOP is planning on doing. I seriously doubt they will want to discuss any of the actual aspects of the law as part of this thoughtful consideration.
You won’t hear about the closing of the prescription donut hole, the ability to have kids stay on parents policies, the elimination of preexisting conditions, the limit on gouging insureds by spending on huge salaries instead of patient care, and more. I do expect to hear about false points such as government takeover, death panels, and socialism, however.
Yes, there will be no thoughtful consideration taking place this week in regard to HCR; it is obvious simply from looking at the title of the legislation: “The Job-Killing Health Care Law Act“. Factually speaking, there is no such law. Yet, the GOP fools the public with this false rhetoric, once again, preying on their fears instead of appealing to their intellect. Where are the facts to back-up this absurd claim of job-killing. Where are the right-leaning intellectuals; those who know how to research something, that can refute these arrogant Congresspeople. Letting anger and hate blind you from blatant lying does no one any good. You don’t have to support the current law to be outraged at being treated as little children, who can’t think for themselves.
As a final point, it is debatable what “the will of the people” is regarding this law. The linked Rasmussen survey is considered to be flawed, but at best is but one source of opinion. A more detailed look at public sentiment is found in other surveys.
And as we all know, there is no chance the law will be repealed, as the hurdles of passing in the the Senate and getting Obama to sign this (or have his veto overruled by 2/3 vote in both houses) are not going to happen.
