Owner of 1993 Nissan Pathfinder SUV Involved in Bomb Attempt Is Located … Not Suspect at This Time
The owner of the SUV, 1993 Nissan Pathfinder, that was parked in NYC Time Square with bomb material that failed to detonate was located by authorities. The owner has been questioned by police and the FBI, at this time they are stating that he is not a suspect.
The police and F.B.I. investigators have interviewed the owner of the 1993 Nissan Pathfinder found loaded with explosives and rigged to blow up in Times Square, and do not consider that person to be a suspect in the case, the police said on Monday.
Nonetheless, the provenance of the Pathfinder, tracked down by vehicle identification numbers stamped on its engine block and axle, represent a significant advancement in the investigation, the authorities said. The Pathfinder had not been reported stolen.
So how did the licence plate off a Ford wind up on the Nissan SUV used in a failed bomb attempt in NYC? As reported regarding the SUV at The Gothamist:
The Connecticut license plates on the SUV matched a Ford; according to WFSB, “The investigation led agents to a scrapyard in Stratford and a shoreline car dealership. Police said the Pathfinder could have been sold from Thomas Anthony Auto in Bridgeport at some point. The SUV’s vehicle identification number led officials to the dealership… Police were also at Kramer’s scrapyard in Stratford in a search to hunt down the license plates, which they said came off a pickup truck.”
As The Corner is stating, it is uncertain whether the owner of the Nissan Pathfinder SUV questioned matches the description of the 40 year old white man seen in surveillance videos released earlier by authorities.

Okay, is it safe to call this one an act of terrorism?
I just hope they read him his right so he won’t talk and we can bury our heads in the sand so we don’t have to say the “T” word any more until the next attack. Oh, did I say the wrong word for when a “one off” looney misdirects his hatred towords innocent civilians at the urging of all his fellow terrorists, OOPS!
Freakin’ Napolotino calling this guy “amatuer”, what is she doing, daring the next “one off” to bring a better bomb so the system will work better?
Bunch of idiots running this country right now.
