A RINO TOO FAR … When is a RINO nothing more than a LIBERAL in disguise?
The misguided and gutless Republican Senator of South Carolina, Lindsey Graham, warns Republicans not to go too far right? This is the lesson that you learned from NY-23? Are you kidding? The lesson learned is to never have the Republican Party sell it’s soul and nominate a far left liberal. Stop confusing the issue Graham. Republicans have no issue with moderates, hell you were elected. Scozzafava was no moderate.
“To those people who are pursuing purity, you’ll become a club not a party,” Graham told POLITICO in the Capitol Wednesday. “Those people who are trying to embrace conservatism in a thoughtful way that fits the region and the state and the district are going to do well. Conservativism is an asset. Blind ideology is not.”
A note to Lindsey Graham … NY-23’s Scozzafava was not a RINO, she was a bed wetting liberal. SHE WAS NOT A MODERATE!!! She was a LIBERAL in wolf’s clothing. Case and point when she dropped out and backed the Democrat. Does the Republican powers that be and the brain child Senator fro SC think that Scozzafava would have ever voted with the Republicans? HARDLY! She probably if elected as a Republican would have voted for Pelosi as Speaker of the House.
The Republican Party should be as Hot Air states, that centrists and conservatives should come together and build a future. However, that bridge has to go to some where and the road map has to have a direction. A question to Lindsey Graham … how far left of a RINO is he willing to accept? Personally, there is no room in the tent and should never be for an individual like Scozzafava who believes in no Conservative and Republican core values. NONE, NADA, NIL!
The lesson that should be learned by Republicans is to nominate Republicans that are center-right. Hoffman would have won this race if he actually had the backing of the RNC from the outset. Not two days before the election. It was a $1 million lesson learned by the RNC as their candidate ends up backing the Democrat.
Once again Weasel Zippers nails it in print and pic. It’s kind of hard to take Lindsey Graham seriously or support him when he is working behind the scenes with Mass Democrat John Kerry on Cap & Trade.

Lindsey Graham needs to be sent home by the people of his state. Once, a long time ago, Graham was a capable person who stood for the right values. Now,he has overstayed his usefulness and needs to go home.

Oh, by the way, are you trying to say that Bill Owens (the newest Congressman from the 23rd District of New York) is a “far left liberal” (as if that’s a bad thing)? What’s the basis of that erroneous charge – sour grapes? Or am I mis-reading the article?

Excellent rant! Rank & file conservative Republicans have got to demand the Party’s national and states’ leadership field candidates who will represent and fight for our agenda. We don’t need anymore traitors like Scozzafava and Colin Powell sabotaging our mission as they profess themselves to be “one of us” because they are not!

SM: What he sad LEFT does not comprehend … it’s not hate. It’s policy and direction. The LEFT loves to talk about hate, because that’s what they do. On the other hand Conservatives are just stating the obvious … there is no room an any Republican tent for a liberal that votes in the NY Legislature more left than most Democrats.
Graham should ask himself, how far right he is willing to go, not how one would destroy a party for the sake of winning a seat. Look how Pelosi is having such a hard time herding the cats in her party.
FYI: Concervatives would not allow Obama in their party either even if it meant winning the Presidency. One does not need to lose their political soul just for a victory that would tear a oart apart.
