Democrats Questioning Whether Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren Can Take on President Trump in 2020 … Win Back the Rust Belt?

CAN POCAHONTAS TAKE ON TRUMP?

From The Hill comes the following as Democrats question whether Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren can really take on President Trump in the 2020 elections. The question is, can a far-LEFT Progressive who calls for the abolitionism of ICE really win back blue-collar Democrats from President Trump in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania? Can a liberal Democrat elite win or even come close in a southern state? The answer is likely no on both accounts. There lies the problem for the Democrats. The problem is that the Democrat party has gone too far LEFT and is being pushed off the cliff by the likes of self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders. Now you have the likes of Warren, a progressive made from the same cloth as a possible challenger to Trump to change the minds of the blue collar Dems in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania? Hardly. In fact, Democrats might just lose the “rust belt” forever.

Elizabeth Warren

Can Elizabeth Warren win back blue-collar Democrats from President Trump in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania?

It’s a question many Democrats are pondering as Warren — one of the leading contenders for her party’s presidential nomination, if she chooses to run in 2020 — goes back and forth with the president over immigration and other issues.

Warren (D-Mass.) has shown an ability to rally and excite progressives, she’s a proven fundraiser and she has policy bona fides from her work in the Senate.

Yet there are creeping doubts among some Democrats that she’s the best candidate to take on Trump.

Some worry the former Harvard professor will have a tough time winning back the Rust Belt centrists and independents who abandoned Hillary Clinton and Democrats for Trump.

“I just can’t see a blue-collar, Rust Belt guy voting for her,” said one Democratic strategist who has worked on presidential campaigns. “I think the party needs to be realistic about that.”

“I just can’t see a blue-collar, Rust Belt guy voting for her,” said one Democratic strategist who has worked on presidential campaigns. “I think the party needs to be realistic about that.”

Some Democrats almost certainly remain shellshocked from the last election after Trump’s surprise win. He became the first Republican to win the states of Pennsylvania and Michigan in a presidential election since 1988 and the first Republican to win Wisconsin since President Reagan in 1984.

If Democrats don’t retake those states in 2020, their chances of winning the Electoral College will fall.

ICE Protestors in Ohio Chant ‘F*ck the Police’ (VIDEO)

WAY TO WIN OVER THE INDEPENDENTS …

And the LEFT continues to act insanity, this time their ICE protest in Ohio consisted of chants of “f*ck the police.”  To those Independents and Democrats that wonder what happened to their party and why it has ignored you, take a good look at what the LEFT has become today.

Protestors gathered in Columbus, Ohio to protest the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) by erecting a 32-foot-tall tripod, but began chanting “fuck the police” after police officers deconstructed the tripod Monday morning.

In a Facebook live video published by WSYX ABC 6, protestors can be heard chanting, “fuck the police,” repeatedly as police officers broke down the 32-foot-tall tripod and placed it in the back of the police van.

In total, eight people involved in the protest were arrested according to Marshall:

President Trump Nominates Federal Appeals Court Judge Brett Kavanaugh for Supreme Court

TRUMP NOMINATES KAVENAUGH TO THE SCOTUS …

Last night President Donald Trump nominated judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court, to replace the out-going Justice Anthony Kennedy. Kavanaugh  was a federal appeals court judge in Washington and by all accounts widely respected in legal circles. As stated at NR, Judge Kavanaugh, 53 years old, has compiled an outstanding record during his twelve years on the federal court of appeals in DC . President Trump praised his nominee as a judge with “impeccable credentials” and said he is “considered a judge’s judge.” Now comes the brutal confirmation process from the LEFT. Democrats, the MSM and the LEFT would not have been happy with any SCOTUS pick from Trump. As it was, they were protesting the SCOTUS pick before they even knew who it was.

President Donald Trump on Monday nominated Brett Kavanaugh, a federal appeals court judge in Washington, to succeed Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court.

Trump made the announcement shortly after 9 p.m. ET at the White House, where he was joined by Kavanaugh and his family. NBC News broke the story shortly before the president made his choice public.

“What matters is not a judge’s personal views, but whether they can set aside those views to do what the law and the Constitution require,” Trump said in the prime-time announcement from the East Room. “I am pleased to say I have found, without doubt, such a person.”

“It is my my honor to announce that I will nominate that I will nominate Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court,” Trump added.

Kavanaugh then emerged, along with his wife, Ashley, and two young daughters.

Trump praised his nominee as a judge with “impeccable credentials” and said he is “considered a judge’s judge.”

Judge Brett Kavanaugh:

Judge Kavanaugh has been selected to fill the seat of retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy, for whom he clerked — along with Neil Gorsuch — 25 years ago. A graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School, Kavanaugh has dedicated his career to public service. He worked for several years in the Office of Independent Counsel under Ken Starr and then for five years in the White House of President George W. Bush, first in the White House counsel’s office and then in the role of staff secretary. During an interlude in private practice, he headed the Federalist Society’s Religious Liberties Practice Group and wrote two pro bono Supreme Court amicus briefs in support of the cause of religious liberty.

Kavanaugh is a lector at his Catholic parish, where he also coaches his daughters’ CYO basketball teams. He also volunteers with Catholic charities and teaches and mentors in local schools. He is as fit off the court as he is on it: The former captain of his high-school basketball team runs regularly and has won his court’s annual 5-K five times.

Now that President Trump has nominated a second justice to the Supreme Court, the LEFT will be whipped up into a lather even more than before. No justice that Trump would have nominated is okay to the LEFT because it was not Hillary Clinton who did so. As a shudder to even contemplate such an act. But as Barack Obama reminded Republicans when he was elected, “elections have consequences.” .

Could It Be Possible … Is Hillary Clinton Planning to Run in 2020?

COULD IT REALLY BE POSSIBLE, IS HILLARY CLINTON GOING TO RUN YET AGAIN?

In an OPED by Michael Goodwin of the New York Post, he speculates that Hillary Clinton, could yet be running again one more time in 2020. Personally, I doubt it but I would certainly be in favor of it. The more the merrier in the Democrat Presidential primary food fight. There really is no leader of the Democrat party, the so-called front runners Jone Biden and Bernie Sanders are dinosaurs. Who are Hillary’s competition, Sen. Kamala Harris in California, Sen. Cory Booker in New Jersey and Gov. Andrew Cuomo in New York? Really? It is yet another disastrous situation left from the Obama years, the Democrats have no bench.

Hillary Clinton lost the race in 2016 no one thought she could ever lose. She has all but never accepted her loss to Trump and has blamed everyone but herself. Could she be that delusional to run one more time. Oprah appears to be out. Is it really possible that Democrats have no one else but Hillary Clinton to run again?

The messages convey a sense of urgency, and are coming with increasing frequency. They are short, focused reactions to the latest “outrage” committed by President Trump.

Some end by asking for money, some urge participation in protests. All read as if they are sent from the official headquarters of the resistance.

Hillary Clinton is up to something.

Five times in the last month alone, she sent emails touting her super PAC’s role in combating President Trump. Most seized on headline events, such as the family separation issue at the southern border.

Under the message line, “horrific,” she wrote June 18: “This is a moral and humanitarian crisis. Everyone of us who has ever held a child in their arms, and every human being with a sense of compassion and decency should be outraged.” She said she warned about Trump’s immigration policies during the 2016 campaign.

Three days later, she was back again, saying that her group, Onward Together, raised $1 million and would split it among organizations working to change border policy, including the American Civil Liberties Union and a gaggle of immigrant, refugee, Latino and women’s groups.

[...]

Here’s how I believe she sees the playing field, and why she can’t be ignored.

First, because there’s no clear front-runner for the nomination 18 months into Trump’s presidency, Clinton remains the closest thing to an incumbent. She’s also got numerous advantages, from name recognition to campaign experience to an off-the-shelf cabinet, that could give her a head start.

Second, a crowded, diverse field diminishes the chances of anyone knocking her off. Recall how Trump outlasted 16 GOP rivals by having a committed core of supporters that grew as the field shrank. Clinton could be in a similar position — unpopular among many, but also unbeatable by a single opponent.

Third, looking ahead to the 2020 primaries, she sees no reason to fear the favorite daughters and sons in key blue states. She would almost certainly beat Sen. Kamala Harris in California, Sen. Cory Booker in New Jersey and Gov. Andrew Cuomo in New York.

And please — forget Sanders and Joe Biden. Sanders is already 76 and Biden, at 75, has never been a viable candidate for president and still isn’t.

Fourth, money is not an issue. Some donors will resist Clinton at first, but any Dem nominee can count on all the money in the world to run against Trump.

Voters Overwhelmingly Prefer Free Market to Socialism … 74% to 13%

SORRY BERNIE SANDERS, ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ AND THE LEFT, AMERICA IS A CAPITALIST NATION

According to a recent Rasmussen poll, 74% of Likely U.S. Voters prefer a free market economic system over a socialist system. Sorry Bernie Sanders and the new darling of the Democrat party, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The Democrat party finds itself moving farther and farther to the left and socialism as an overwhelming majority of Americans prefer a free market economic system. Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez previously stated that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez “represents the future of our party.” Really, a self-proclaimed democratic socialist, Ocasio-Cortez, is the future of the Democrats in a country that prefers free markets? Democrats are about to drive off the political cliff. If any of you actually thought or think self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders has a chance of being elected, you are delusional. The idea that Democrats are purposely attaching themselves to socialism is amazing.

Free-Market

In New York, a Democratic Socialist candidate just unseated a near-20-year veteran in one of the state’s Democratic congressional primaries, and she contends she represents the Democratic Party’s future. But voters reject socialism in no uncertain terms.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 74% of Likely U.S. Voters prefer a free market economic system over a socialist system. Only 13% think socialism is a better economic system, and just as many (13%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
