ICE Director Thomas Homan Blasts Irresponsible Democrat Lawmakers On His Last Day (VIDEO)
THIS IS A TRUE PATRIOT …
This morning on Fox & Friends, ICE Director Thomas Homan blasted Democrat law makers and open borders advocates on his last day at the agency for their irresponsible and ignorant condemnation of ICE. Director Homan said,”he was sickened the last couple months on the attacks against ICE officers.” Homan went on the say that ICE officers should be respected for the dangerous jobs they do by the media and Democrats, not vilified.
Homan was asked for his reaction to Democrats calls for the abolishment of ICE. He said in response, “they need to educate themselves.” He stated, “ICE doesn’t not separate families on the border, that’s the job of Border Patrol.” He went on to say, “they need to get their facts straight and educate themselves that there are two different agencies.” A note to outgoing Director Homan, they don’t care. They don’t want to be educated with the facts. Because the facts would get in the way of their anti-Trump, open-borders narrative.
Homan stated, “if the American public want to know who to blame for family separation. The first people they need to blame is Congress.” He is correct, ICE is just the messenger of Congresses laws. ICE is enforcing the laws that Congress has passed and it is up to Congress to change the laws, not ICE. Congress refuses to fix it. Homan called out New York Democrat Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand by name. Once, it would have been considered a LEFT-wing loon idea to demand such a thing. Now it is a Democrat mainstream idea. What the hell happened to this party?
ICE Director Thomas Homan then laid down the challenge to the anti-ICE Democrats calling for an end to ICE. Homan vigorously stated, “as far as these Senators and Congressmen vilifying ICE and the border patrol, as you say sir, go strap a gun to your hip and stand on that line. Stand on that trail at 3am, in total darkness and wait for someone to come down that trail and meet you that you don’t know if they are an illegal alien or a heavy armed drug trafficker. Do that job, stand that post, then bad mouth that border patrol or ICE agent. Do the job!”
Where was the LEFT and Democrats calling for an end to ICE uder Obama?
Homan said President Trump’s executive order in January 2017 mandated he carry out all existing immigration laws whereas former President Barack Obama had instructed ICE to prioritize who it went after.
Even so, ICE deportation numbers during the middle of Obama’s administration in Fiscal Year 2012 — a total of 409,849 people removed — was significantly higher than Trump’s first year number of 226,119.
Democrats once again find themselves on the wrong side of the issue when it comes to illegals. According to a recent Rasmussen poll, 54% of Likely U.S. Voters say the parents are more to blame for breaking the law, not the feds. Democratic Pollster Mark Penn just recently stated that 84% of Americans support turning undocumented immigrants over to authorities. That would be ICE folks.
When families are arrested and separated after attempting to enter the United States illegally, 54% of Likely U.S. Voters say the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 35% believe the federal government is more to blame for enforcing the law. Eleven percent (11%) are not sure.
To help understand the current political debate over the children issue, a closer look shows that 82% of Republicans and 56% of voters not affiliated with either major political party feel the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. But 60% of Democrats say the government is more to blame for enforcing the law.
Fifty-four percent (54%) agree with President Trump when he says, “The United States will not be a migrant camp. And it will not be a refugee-holding facility – it won’t be.” Thirty percent (30%) disagree, while 16% are undecided.
