POLITICO/Morning Consult Poll: Majority of Voters in Several Polls Don’t Think Oprah Winfrey Should Run for the White House
THE LIBERAL PIPE DREAM, OPRAH FOR PRESIDENT …
From The Politico, not Fox News, not Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity, but from the liberal Politico comes the following, a presidential run for Oprah Winfrey gets low ratings from voter. Add to this the Trump polling effect where individuals are less likely to say they are voting for Trump or say anything positive in public for fear of retribution. How did the 2016 polling go when it came to Donald Trump? Then there is that little Oprah-Weinstein issue that many voters don’t even know about.
Americans love Oprah Winfrey. But they aren’t exactly clamoring for the media mogul and former talk-show host to challenge President Donald Trump in 2020.
A majority of voters across several polls don’t think Winfrey should run for the White House, according to polls conducted since Winfrey’s much-heralded speech at a Hollywood awards show launched a round of presidential speculation. Even among Democratic voters, more say she shouldn’t run for president than should.
Still, there’s enough evidence to continue fueling speculation about her political prospects. Winfrey performs well on polling ballot tests, tying or leading Trump in a number of surveys. The POLITICO/Morning Consult poll shows Democratic voters prefer her to a host of other potential candidates — except former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)
And despite the persistent disapproval of Trump’s job performance thus far, voters are still open to political neophytes as presidential candidates — though Democratic voters are more likely to say they want candidates with experience in elected office.
Perhaps more interesting in the POLITICO/Morning Consult poll: Democratic voters actually prefer Winfrey to some of the party’s potential 2020 candidates. Winfrey would lead Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in a head-to-head primary matchup, 39 percent to 35 percent. And she has a big lead over Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), 44 percent to 23 percent.
But Winfrey trails both Biden, 54 percent to 31 percent, and Sanders, 46 percent to 37 percent — two of Democrats’ best-known possible candidates.

New California Declares Independence From Liberal Coastal Part of State
HEY, WHY NOT?
Could New California really happen? In a legislative effort to divide the state of California into two states and create a New California, many rural California counties have declared independence from the more liberal coastal sections of the state. Similar to the same method how West Virginia was created in 1863, individuals are appealing to Article 4, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution and plan to bring legislation to the California legislature in the next 10 to 18 months to legally divide the state in two. As per The Daily Caller, the movement will almost certainly fail in the legislature, despite support from 21 of California’s 58 counties.
With the reading of their own version of a Declaration of Independence, founders of the state of New California took the first steps to what they hope will eventually lead to statehood.
To be clear, they don’t want to leave the United States, just California.
“Well, it’s been ungovernable for a long time. High taxes, education, you name it, and we’re rated around 48th or 50th from a business climate and standpoint in California,” said founder Robert Paul Preston.
The state of New California would incorporate most of the state’s rural counties, leaving the urban coastal counties to the current state of California.
“There’s something wrong when you have a rural county such as this one, and you go down to Orange County which is mostly urban, and it has the same set of problems, and it happens because of how the state is being governed and taxed,” Preston said.
But unlike other separation movements in the past the state of New California wants to do things by the book, citing Article 4, Section 3 of the US Constitution and working with the state legislature to get it done, similar to the way West Virginia was formed.
President Donald Trump Undoing the Obama’s Legacy
LET’S HOPE SO, THAT’S WHY HE WAS ELECTED …
A Tale of Two Presidents: Why is President Donald J. Trump so reviled by the LEFT, Democrats, MSM and Progressives? Is it because of his brash, harsh tweets, his take no prisoners attitude, his say what he damn well feels like it to the media or his just mere presence? Well yes of course. But the real reason is Trump is undoing the Obama years piece by piece. The Progressive dream is being dismantled. To the LEFT’s horror, the global warming and illegal immigration are on the top of the hit list. Whine as the LEFT and Never-Trumpers’ try and lie that Trump is somehow like Stalin, Hitler, or Mussolini, it was in fact Barack Hussein Obama who was the one who weaponized the FBI, IRS, DOJ and EPA against his enemies. Not Trump. All Trump is doing is undoing the past 8 years of Obama and “Making America Great Again” to the reality of a stock market that crossed a record 26K today.
Obama, waiving goodbye to his legacy
Yet one way of understanding Trump — particularly the momentum of his first year — is through recollection of the last eight years of the Obama administration. In reductionist terms, Trump is the un-Obama. Surprisingly, that is saying quite a lot more than simple reductive negativism. Republicans have not seriously attempted to roll back the administrative state since Reagan. On key issues of climate change, entitlements, illegal immigration, government spending, and globalization, it was sometimes hard to distinguish a Bush initiative from a Clinton policy or a McCain bill from a Biden proposal. There was often a reluctant acceptance of the seemingly inevitable march to the European-style socialist administrative state.
Even his critics sometimes concede that his economic and foreign-policy agendas are bringing dividends. In some sense, it is not so much because of innovative policy, but rather that he is simply bullying his way back to basics we’ve forgotten over the past decades.
The wonder was never how to grow the economy at 3 percent (all presidents prior to 2009 had at one time or another done just that), but rather, contrary to “expert” economic opinion, how to discover ways to prevent that organic occurrence.
Obama was the first modern president who apparently figured out how. It took the efforts of a 24/7 redistributionist agenda of tax increases, federalizing health care, massive new debt, layers of more regulation, zero-interest rates, neo-socialist regulatory appointments, expansionary eligibility for entitlements, and constant anti-free-market jawboning that created a psychological atmosphere conducive to real retrenchment, mental holding patterns, and legitimate fears over discernable success. Obama weaponized federal agencies including the IRS, DOJ, and EPA in such a manner as to worry anyone successful, prominent, and conservative enough to come under the federal radar of a vindictive Lois Lerner, Eric Holder, or a FISA court.
Trump has sought to undo all that, point by point. The initial result so far is not rocket science, but rather a natural expression of what happens when millions of Americans believe they have greater freedom and safety to profit and innovate, and trust they will not be punished, materially or psychologically, for the ensuing successful results. The radical upsurge in business and consumer confidence is not revolutionary but almost natural. The Left and Never Trump Right claim that Trump is Stalin, Hitler, or Mussolini. In fact, for the first time in eight years, it is highly unlikely that the FBI, IRS, CIA, DOJ, and other alphabet-soup agencies see their tasks as going after the president’s perceived opponents.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2018 … One Day We “Will One Day Live in a Nation Where They Will Not Be Judged by the Color of their Skin but by the Content of their Character”
MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY – 2018 … Because in the end, it is all about the content of one’s character.
On this MLK Day 2018, we once again join together as a nation and honor the message of Martin Luther King Jr. We look back and reflect on “The Dream.” Don’t let people tell you we have not, because we have come a long way as a people and a nation since the 1960′s. However, that is not to say we don’t still have a ways to go. I personally make it a point every MLK day to listen to the words of the slain Civil Rights leader and his “I Have a Dream” speech and reflect on what it means and where we are today with that dream. Today, we are a much better country and closer to Martin Luther King Jr’s dream. The United States of America has come a long way; however, the mission is not over. Recently we have been presented with the facts that black unemployment is at an all-time low. It can get even lower! “The Dream” is much like being a Christian or life in general. You don’t just all of a sudden say, okay, I have reached my goal and nothing more is needed. People are not perfect, they never will be. We strive to be good and follow Christian values. That does not mean we do not fail or fall short. Have we come a long way, yes. However, does that mean we have much more to do and always will. Don’t let negate noise get in the way of reality. Be a part of the continued Dream!
“I Have A Dream Speech” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
I have a dream that “The Dream” of Martin Luther King Jr. will be championed by real Civil Rights activists and not high-jacked by those for their own self-serving purposes and agenda and try to divide us as a country. To do so, to race-bait and to divide America whether you be a common American citizen, a pastor, a politician or a president does a disservice to Martin Luther King, Jr. and his “DREAM.” How I wish there was a true Martin Luther King Jr. alive today to champion the cause. We are closer than you think America, don’t let those that would divide us be victorious.
Full text of MLK Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech:
I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.”
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I have a dream today.
[...]
And if America is to be a great nation this must become true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania!
Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado!
Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California!
But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia!
Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee!
Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring.
And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, “Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!”

Florida Poll Shows President Donald Trump Would Easily Defeat Oprah Winfrey, 47.91% to 23.95%
ALTHOUGH ITS WAY TOO EARLY AND ONLY HYPOTHETICAL, THESE ARE INTERESTING POLL RESULTS …
Battleground state of Florida: In a poll commissioned by the Central Florida Post, and performed by Florida based polling outfit Dixie Strategies, between President Donald Trump and liberal fantasy candidate Oprah Winfrey, the results were rather startling to those on the LEFT. The poll showed that President Trump would win easily in Florida against Oprah, 47.91% to 23.95%. Although such a poll is far too early and obviously hypothetical, it does present a snap-shot in time and the thinking of a state’s electorate. Oprah may be the LEFT’s dream, presidential candidate, even though they stated when Trump announced his candidacy that he had no experience. But it shows in state polls, not skewed national ones, maybe Oprah isn’t the people’s choice. This might just be a reality check for Oprah.
Donald Trump in the must-win state of Florida, according to our poll conducted by Dixie Strategies of 785 likely voters, would trounce Oprah Winfrey.
How bad? President Donald Trump would win with a whopping 47.91% to Winfrey’s 23.95%, with a theoretical third party candidate getting 14.83% and 13.31% of voters undecided.
“Donald Trump continues to hold his base of supporters, while it appears Floridians are not viewing Oprah as a serious candidate.”
Trump not only retains very favorable views from 70% of Republicans in the must-win state of Florida, he also maintains a higher favorability across party lines. President Trump is viewed as “very favorable” by 42.42% of voters, while Oprah is viewed “very favorable” by only 25.87% of Florida voters.
When those 25.87% of Winfrey supporters were asked about her close personal relationship with Harvey Weinstein, nearly 45% of her supporters said it would make them less likely to support her candidacy.
