We Don’t Need More Gun Laws, We Need to Follow the Ones We Have: Air Force ‘Error’ Allowed Gunman to Buy Weapons That Were Used in Texas Church Shooting that Killed 26 People … The Air Force has Launched a Review

AIR FORCE ADMITS MAJOR SCREW UP … WE DON’T NEED MORE LAWS, WE NEED MORE DETAIL AND ATTENTION TO THE ONE’S WE HAVE.

Just a day after a gunman shot and killed 26 people and wounded more than 20 others at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, Texas, the Air Force has admitted they they made an error. You might call it a fatal error. The Air Force failed to enter Devin P. Kelley’s domestic violence court-martial into a federal database that could have blocked him from buying the guns used in Sunday’s church massacre. Are you kidding me!!! From the sounds of the video below, the Air Force needs to change their rules, not just review them. Sorry, receiving a court martial due to domestic violence on your spouse and child should void you of ever owning a gun. PERIOD!

A day after a gunman massacred parishioners in a small Texas church, the Air Force admitted on Monday that it had failed to enter the man’s domestic violence court-martial into a federal database that could have blocked him from buying the rifle he used to kill 26 people.

Under federal law, the conviction of the gunman, Devin P. Kelley, for domestic assault on his wife and toddler stepson — he had cracked the child’s skull — should have stopped Mr. Kelley from legally purchasing the military-style rifle and three other guns he acquired in the last four years.

How in the hell do you screw this up? The Air Force has begun a review if how the criminal records of former Airman Devin P. Kelley following his 2012 domestic violence conviction. REALLY? As opined at Red Stated, the Air Force better being doing a lot more than that. According to Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek, Federal law prohibited him from buying or possessing firearms after this conviction. Initial information indicates that Kelley’s domestic violence offense was not entered into the National Criminal Information Center database by the Holloman Air Force Base Office of Special Investigations.

“The Air Force has launched a review of how the service handled the criminal records of former Airman Devin P. Kelley following his 2012 domestic violence conviction,” the Air Force said in a statement.

The statement said Heather Wilson, the Air Force secretary, and Gen. David Goldfein, the Air Force chief of staff, had ordered the Air Force inspector general to “conduct a complete review of the Kelley case.”

The Air Force also said it was looking into whether other convictions had been improperly left unreported to the federal database for firearms background checks.

ALL BRANCHES OF THE  MILITARY better be reviewing all the cases of dishonorable discharges and make sure these individuals are in the database. They also need to review all cases of individuals who have been court martialed and tossed out if the military due to domestic assault and received bad conduct discharges. These people are criminals and need to be treated and such. A note to the LEFT, Democrats, liberals and politicians who in mere seconds after this heinous crime called for more gun control, go pound sand. So we are supposed to pass more gun control that would take the weapons out of good people’s hands to defend themselves, while we allow bureaucratic BS paperwork mistakes to allow a sick bastard like Devin P. Kelley to attain them. REALLY?

Saturday night, former Dodgers announcer and Hall of Famer Vin Scully was at the Pasadena Civic Center for an event called “An Evening With Vin Scully.”

At some point during the event, Scully was asked about the NFL’s national anthem protests, in which players have taken a knee during the anthem to protest police brutality and racism. Scully said he “will never watch another NFL game” because of the protests.

Devin Patrick Kelley has been identified as the gunman who killed at least 26 people at a church Sunday morning in Texas, a U.S. official told The Daily Beast. A week before he committed the worst massacre at a place of worship in American history, Kelley posted a photo of a semiautomatic rifle to Facebook with the caption: “She’s a bad bitch.”

UPDATE III:  Man identified as Texas shooter was court-martialed for assault on his spouse and child.

The man authorities have identified as the shooter in the massacre at a Texas church was given a bad conduct discharge from the Air Force three years ago after being court-martialed for assault, a military spokesperson confirmed Sunday.

Federal law prohibits a person who has been dishonorably discharged from buying a firearm. Whether Kelley’s discharge would trigger the law was not immediately clear.

Devin P. Kelley, who served in logistics readiness at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico starting in 2010, was court-martialed in 2012 for two counts alleging assault on his spouse and assault on their child, Ann Stefanek, the chief of Media Operations for the Air Force, said in a statement.

Kelley was convicted and sentenced to 12 months in custody and given a bad conduct discharge,  Stefanek said. He was discharged in 2014.

The 1968 Gun Control Act made it unlawful for a licensed firearms dealer to sell a weapon to a person with a dishonorable discharge or for such a person “to ship or transport in interstate or foreign commerce, or possess in or affecting commerce, any firearm or ammunition; or to receive any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce.”

Bowe Bergdahl Receives Dishonorable Discharge & Avoids Prison Time

Bowe Bergdahl receives a dishonorable discharge:

Bowe Bergdahl received a dishonorable discharge from the US Army but will avoid prison time for desertion and misbehavior before the enemy after abandoning his outpost in Afghanistan in 2009, a military judge ruled Friday.

The judge also ruled that Bergdahl’s rank be reduced from sergeant to private. Additionally, he will be required to pay a $1,000 fine from his salary for the next 10 months.
“Sgt. Bergdahl has looked forward to today for a long time,” Eugene Fidell, Bergdahl’s civilian attorney, said at a news conference after the sentence was announced.

“As everyone knows he was a captive of the Taliban for nearly five years, and three more years have elapsed while the legal process unfolded. He has lost nearly a decade of his life.”

The sentence is effective immediately, except for the dishonorable discharge, which Bergdahl is appealing, according to Fidell.

50% of U.S. Millennials Say They Would Rather Live in a Socialist or Communist Country than a Capitalist Democracy

DON’T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE ASS ON THE WAY OUT …

According to the latest survey from the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, 50% of US Millennials say they would rather live in a socialist or communist country than a capitalist democracy. Unbelievable. What the hell are the kids today being taught in school? This is what happens when you have a liberal brainwashing agenda in schools to indoctrinate rather than educate. It also goes to show that Millennials are clueless. Really, you would rather live in a country like China, Venezuela, Cuba or North Korea? Maybe you should ask Otto Warmbier how he was treated in North Korea on his visit there? Oh that’s right, you can’t, he is dead as he was basically tortured to death. Does it ever dawn on Millennials that people are willing to risk death escaping Cuba to make it to the United States? Maybe we should ship these uneducated, over privileged your to Venezuela where their economy is in ruins due to socialism. How could a group of American youth be so ignorant? They embrace communism? What? Have these Millennials never seen the joy on Eastern Europeans faces when the Iron Curtain came down?

Hero Poll_110217

According to the latest survey from the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, a D.C.-based nonprofit, one in two U.S. millennials say they would rather live in a socialist or communist country than a capitalist democracy.

What’s more, 22% of them have a favorable view of Karl Marx and a surprising number see Joseph Stalin and Kim Jong Un as “heroes.”

Really, that’s what the numbers show.

“Millennials now make up the largest generation in America, and we’re seeing some deeply worrisome trends,” said Marion Smith, executive director of the organization. “Millennials are increasingly turning away from capitalism and toward socialism and even communism as a viable alternative.”

“Millennials now make up the largest generation in America, and we’re seeing some deeply worrisome trends,” said Marion Smith, executive director of the organization. “Millennials are increasingly turning away from capitalism and toward socialism and even communism as a viable alternative.”

But do they even know what it is?

Maybe Millennials can at Least comprehend the video below to get a clue as to the Berlin Wall (Hint: East Germany was Communist side of wall)

The survey, which was conducted by research and data firm YouGov, found that millennials are the least knowledgable generation on the subject, with 71% failing to identify the proper definition of communism.

Smith explained that this “troubling turn” highlights pervasive historical illiteracy across the country and “the systemic failure of our education system to teach students about the genocide, destruction, and misery caused by communism since the Bolshevik Revolution one hundred years ago.”

Some thing needs to be done in this country or it is finished.
