Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) Diagnosed with Brain Cancer (Glioblastoma)

SAY A PRAYER FOR JOHN MCCAIN AND HIS FAMILY …

The Hill is reporting that Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has been diagnosed with brain cancer. The primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was discovered after the senior Arizona senator underwent a minor procedure last week to remove a blood clot from above his left eye. We wish Sen. McCain all the best and our prayers are with him. Although, this is a terrible diagnosis as this type of cancer is very aggressive, I can say from personal experience, the time frame given for surviving can be beat. My sister was diagnosed with the same type of cancer many years ago. She went through surgery, radiation and chemo. Although she was much younger than McCain when diagnosed, much has changed between then and now and the medical advancements. Sadly, my sister has since passed, but not before she lived 20 years past her initial diagnosis and I was able to fulfill my promise to her that she would see her sons graduate high school. We did one better, she was able to see them graduate college and get married. John McCain is a fighter. We will him all the best.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) has been diagnosed with brain cancer, the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix said Wednesday.

The tumor was discovered after the senior Arizona senator underwent a minor procedure last week to remove a blood clot from above his left eye.

“Subsequent tissue pathology revealed that a primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot,” the hospital said in a statement.

“The Senator and his family are reviewing further treatment options with his Mayo Clinic care team. Treatment options may include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation.”

McCain’s latest diagnosis is not his first battle with cancer. He underwent a procedure in 2000 to remove a type of skin cancer called melanoma from the left side of his face.

President Donald Trump released a message soon after the news of the senator’s condition broke. “Senator John McCain has always been a fighter,” he said. “Melania and I send our thoughts and prayers to Senator McCain, Cindy, and their entire family. Get well soon.”

The senator’s daughter, Meghan McCain, also issued a statement on Twitter about the diagnosis:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a close friend of McCain and one of his most ardent allies on Capitol Hill, spoke with the Arizona senator on Wednesday. He said they talked only briefly about McCain’s diagnosis before shifting to a conversation about the Senate’s healthcare reform efforts and the National Defense Authorization, the federal defense spending bill.

“Literally, it went five minutes until we turned away from what I think most people have a hard time absorbing and focused on what he loves the best,” Graham told reporters after speaking with McCain.

The news of McCain’s diagnosis prompted an immediate outpouring of support from fellow lawmakers.

“God knows how this ends, not me,” Graham said. “But what I do know is this disease has never had a more worthy opponent.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) characterized McCain as a fighter, saying in a statement that “he will face this challenge with the same extraordinary courage that has characterized his life.”

“John McCain is a hero to our Conference and a hero to our country. He has never shied away from a fight and I know he will face this challenge with the same extraordinary courage that has characterized his life,” McConnell said in a statement. “The entire Senate family’s prayers are with John, Cindy and his family, his staff, and the people of Arizona he represents so well.”

The Republican health care failure in the U.S. Senate is not only a blow to GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, it is a greater disappointment to the American people who have been lied to. For seven years Republicans, and the American people have been told, if you give us the House, give us the Senate and give us the Presidency, we will repeal Obamacare. Over the past 7 years, Republicans, Independents and even Democrats have given power back to the GOP in the House, Senate and in 2016, elected Donald J. Trump the president of the United States. Now we have a GOP majority in the Senate who has lost their nerve and obvious lied to We the People. The colossal collapse of the Senate health care bill is not a blow to McConnell, its an embarrassment to the GOP party. What the F#ck have you people been doing for the past 7 years? You were put in office and many GOP senators ran and were elected on the promise to repeal Obamacare. Now it is time to fulfill your promise. President Trump expressed his disappointment; however, I will go even further. The GOP Senate had no problem passing bills that repealed Obamacare when they knew they had no chance of being signed by Barack Obama. Now, suddenly when Donald Trump is president and will sign such a bill into law, the establishment GOP Senators have become gutless. Mitch McConnell, you need to step down and allow new leadership to take over that can get things done. Retire and go home!

The failure of Obamacare repeal marks Mitch McConnell’s lowest point as Senate GOP leader.

Despite having a Republican in the White House, full GOP control of Congress and seven years of campaign promises — “pulling out Obamacare root and branch,” as the Kentucky Republican famously declared — McConnell acknowledged this week that he didn’t have the votes to even start debate on replacing the 2010 Affordable Care Act.

It’s a serious defeat for McConnell, and one that leaves deep bitterness among rank-and-file GOP senators, as moderates and conservatives blamed each other over who is at fault for the setback.

It’s also a blow to McConnell’s reputation as a master legislator and raises doubts in the White House about what Senate Republicans can actually deliver for President Donald Trump. McConnell, like Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), finds himself caught between the factions in his own party. And like Ryan, McConnell hasn’t demonstrated that he knows how to resolve the dispute.

The draining of the swamp also includes establishment Republicans and RINO’s. It is bad enough that your healthcare bill is BS, based on a retooling of Obamacare, not its repeal .. but you gutless bastards can’t even pass that after 7 years. One would have thought that you would have been discussing such things, not going on vacation, writing books, and getting all those great Senate perks. Trust me GOP … come 2018, this is a warning to the ObamaCare Republicans, the Voters will repeal and replace the Senators who broke their promise. That goes for you folks in the House too. Prepare to be primary challenged!!! In 2018, its time to go RINO hunting and rid the party of those who don’t even believe in the Republican platform. Take your party back and show these clowns, that lying to get elected will not be tolerated.

17 Year Old Girl Protects Herself with Gun from Home Intruder in Spokane County, WA

YOU GO GIRL, ANNIE’S KIMBER GOT A GUN!!!

17 year old Kimber Wood protected herself from a would be home intruder and suspected car thief, who was on the run from Spokane County deputies, by grabbing her father’s gun. The incident occurred Monday in Spokane County, Washington. Initially, the incident started at around 5:00 a.m. when deputies spotted a stolen car in the Wandermere area and pursued the suspect, who ditched the vehicle and took off on foot. Police deputies set up a perimeter to look for the suspect. Wood received a phone call from her boyfriend and her parents, warning her of a man on the run from Spokane, WA Sheriff’s deputies. A short time later, Kimber woke up to the sound of someone coming into her house and found herself face to face with the suspect in her home. Kimber pulled her gun out, pointed at the suspect and said, “Who are you?” and “Get the (expletive) out of my house!”

Watching The Wake Up Show on KHQ was 17-year-old Kimber Wood’s boyfriend and parents, who told her there was a car thief on the loose in the area and deputies were searching for him.

Kimber’s parents and boyfriend left for work and after seeing our story. Her boyfriend came across some deputies on his way to work and got more information from them. He then called Kimber to let her know what deputies told him. Kimber then called her dad and asked if she could grab one of his guns for protection. He said yes.

Kimber grabbed a gun, placed it under her pillow and went back to sleep. A short time later she says she woke up to the sound of someone coming into her house. She grabbed the gun and hid behind her makeup vanity. She soon found herself face to face with the man on the run from deputies.

Kimber pulled her gun out, pointed at the suspect and said, “Who are you?” and “Get the (expletive) out of my house!”

Liberal State of Oregon Implements Bike Tax … $15 Excise Tax on Bikes over $200

DEMOCRATS LOVE THEIR TAXES, NOW THERE IS ONE FOR BICYCLES … I THOUGHT LIBERALS LOVED TAXES?

The folks in Oregon can’t blame this one on Republicans as Oregon is pretty much all run by Democrats. If it passes, the cost will be shifted to the consumer. Democratic Gov. Kate Brown is expected to sign the sweeping $5.3 billion transportation package, which includes a $15 excise tax on the sale of bicycles costing more than $200 with a wheel diameter of at least 26 inches. Of course I would ask, why shouldn’t bike owners pay taxes that are used for roads? They use the road, don’t they?

In Oregon, a state known for its avid bicycling culture, the state Legislature’s approval of the first bike tax in the nation has fallen flat with riders.

Democratic Gov. Kate Brown is expected to sign the sweeping $5.3 billion transportation package, which includes a $15 excise tax on the sale of bicycles costing more than $200 with a wheel diameter of at least 26 inches.

Even though the funding has been earmarked for improvements that will benefit cyclists, the tax has managed to irk both anti-tax Republicans and environmentally conscious bikers.

It is just comical to hear liberal whine about tax increased for items that they hold dear and affect them. Who buys an $800 bike, the rich?
