‘Sesame Street’ Axes Longtime Cast Members Bob McGrath (Bob), Gordon and Luis

WHY DON’T YOU JUST FIRE BERT AND ERNIE TOO? HOW ABOUT BIG BIRD AND ELMO?

What a sad day for Sesame Street and those that have watched the show since its inception. Sesame Street has axed long time cast members Bob McGrath, (a.k.a. “Bob”), Emilio Delgado (who played “Luis”) and Roscoe Orman (“Gordon”) as part of its re-tooling for HBO. Shameful. As reported at The NY Times, McGrath, a member of the original cast in 1969, played the music teacher Bob, and sang some of the show’s most beloved songs, including “People in Your Neighborhood.” His departure leaves Loretta Long, who plays Susan, as the only remaining member of the original human cast. Sad, truly sad. I was actually of that demographic of the original Sesame Street broadcasts. What a great loss and a sad day for the show that some short minded execs think that the original cast members can’t relate to today’s youth.

Sesame Street, the 46-year-old award-winning children’s show, cut three of its most senior cast members earlier this year, according to one of the actors that was released.

At a Q&A event at the Florida Supercon on July 2, Bob McGrath, a.k.a. “Bob,” informed the audience that he, Emilio Delgado (who played “Luis”) and Roscoe Orman (“Gordon”) were all released from the show as part of its re-tooling for HBO.

“As of this season, I have completed my 45th season this year. And the show has gone under a major turnaround, going from an hour to a half hour. HBO has gotten involved also. And they let all of the original cast members go, with the exception of Alan Muraoka — who is probably 20 years younger than the rest of us — and Chris Knowings, who is also young,” McGrath said. (His statement can be heard on the Muppet-centric podcast The MuppetCast, which broke this story.)

According to McGrath, the show will keep Loretta Long, who has played Susan, Gordon’s wife, since the beginning of the show.

McGrath, 84, had been with the Sesame Street cast since the show’s inception in 1969 — one of only two of the original cast members still with the show until this year. Formerly a successful singer in Japan, McGrath sang on many of the show’s early hit songs, such as “People in Your Neighborhood”:

One Police Officer Killed and Another Wounded in Shooting in San Diego, CA (VIDEO)

BLUE LIVES MATTER, ANOTHER POLICE OFFICER GUNNED DOWN …

FOX News is reporting that another police officer has been killed, this time in San Diego, California. Two police officers have been shot, sadly one has passed away during a traffic stip in San Diego. Which further leads to the obvious, that there is no such thing as a routine police stop. According to San Diego Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman, the shooting happened at around 11 p.m. local time (2 a.m. ET Friday) in the Southcrest neighborhood. One suspect has been taken into custody.

One San Diego police officer was killed and another one wounded when a driver they stopped Thursday night opened fire on them in the latest in a series of cop shootings around the nation.

The suspected shooter was arrested, and police said they were not pursuing any other suspects. Neither the police officers’ nor the alleged gunman’s names were immediately released.

The determination that the killer acted alone followed a long manhunt in the city’s Southcrest neighborhood involving SWAT teams, helicopters and squad cars.

Video footage showed officers out in force with numerous squad cars with emergency lights flashing lining a street, officers on foot, and a helicopter buzz overhead.

Police said the officers were shot while making a stop and immediately called for help. The officer who died was shot multiple times.

LA Times: 2 San Diego police officers shot, one fatally, in traffic stop; suspect held.

Two San Diego police officers were shot, one of them fatally, during a traffic stop late Thursday night in the Southcrest neighborhood, police said.

The names and tenures of the male officers, both part of the department’s gang suppression unit, were not released.

One of the officers suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at a hospital despite lifesaving efforts, police Chief Shelly Zimmerman said early Friday outside Scripps Mercy Hospital. The second officer underwent surgery early Friday and was expected to survive.

Police had one suspect in custody. He had been shot and was being treated at a hospital, Zimmerman said.

The two officers had pulled over a vehicle about 11 p.m. somewhere in the area of Acacia Grove Way and 36th Street. Immediately after, they called for emergency cover, Zimmerman said.

Other officers were in the area and arrived shortly after. They found both officers suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso. One was rushed in a police vehicle to a hospital, where he died.

“Despite heroic efforts by officers on scene and heroic efforts by doctors to save his life, I’m heartbroken to report they were unable to save him and he is deceased,” Zimmerman said.

She said she went to the home of the officer who died and notified his wife, two children and extended family members who were at the home.

DISRESPECTFUL: Black Lives Matter Protestors Interrupt DNC Moment Of Silence For Fallen Police Officers (VIDEO)

UNREAL, DEMOCRATS AT DNC DISRESPECT A MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR FALLEN POLICE OFFICERS

No words are required, you only need your eyes and ears to witness the contempt and disrespect of those in the crowd at the DNC for what they think of police officers and the very people that protect and serve us daily. When asked for a moment of silence for fallen police officers the DNC embarrassed themselves and showed just how truly vile they can be. Really, interrupting a moment of silence, what kind of scumbags are you?

Two people interrupted a moment of silence meant to honor slain police officers at Democrats’ convention Thursday, shouting “black lives matter” as the rest of the thousands assembled were quiet

Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez, whose city was the scene of the ambush that left five police officers dead and seven wounded earlier this month, asked for the moment of silence.

After things quieted down, a man interrupted with the “black lives matter” shout, and a woman then interjected herself.

What those at the DNC Really Think of the Police

Take a good look at what a respectful moment of silence looks like courtesy of the Republican National Convention from Cleveland Ohio. Is it really that much to ask to shut your trap for 30 seconds and pay respect to those that protect and serve every day the American people and put their lives on the line? The answer is obviously yes, it is asking too much for Democrats.

Protester at DNC Gets What He Has Coming to Him After Burning the American Flag

OH THE POETIC JUSTICE … KARMA IS A BITCH.

As the speeches went on at the highly Hollywood produced DNC infomercial, Democrats, socialists and anarchists were outside protesting in the street making slurs about capitalism and burning the American flag.

I must say, a grin came across y face when I witnessed the below bit of poetic justice and karma from Old Glory as a moron sets an American flag on fire and then gets engulfed in the flames as he tries to step on it. Don’t worry, I am sure Obamacare will pay for his injuries.
