Burlington College Formerly Run By Bernie Sanders’ Wife to Shutdown Under ‘Crushing weight of Debt’
MAYBE BERNIE SUPPORTERS CAN GET YOUR FREE COLLEGE AT BURLINGTON COLLEGE, IF IT HADN’T COLLAPSED UNDER A “CRUSHING WEIGHT OF DEBT” …
You just can’t make this stuff up. Burlington College plans to shut its doors later this month due to the “crushing weight of debt” it amassed when Bernie Sanders’ wife, Jane Sanders, served as the the school’s president. What a microcosm of socialism and Bernie Sanders’ world views. Imagine that, a college is forced to close its door as it collapses under a mountain of debt. Note to millennials … money and the economics matters. Take a good look what will happen to America under liberal ideology. But of course in typical liberal values, Jane Sanders, who took over the school in 2004, resigned in 2011, and ran the school into the ground also managed to secure a $200,000 severance deal.
The school plans to cease operations by May 27,2016. The school was founded in 1972, utopia has failed. Liberalism once again causes job loss.
Vermont’s private Burlington College announced Monday it was shuttering its doors later this month because of a “crushing weight of debt” amassed under Bernie Sanders’ wife who formerly served as the school’s president.
Jane Sanders ran the liberal arts college for seven years, taking out a $10 million loan in 2010 on the school’s behalf to purchase 32 acres of lakefront property in an attempt to draw donations.
The plan ultimately fell through, placing the school under irreversible financial stress. Burlington’s Board of Trustees voted last week to halt the school’s programs May 27, the Burlington Free Press reported.
