AMBER ALERT Issued for Missing 2 Years Old Brooklynne Enix … Abducted by Her Father, 36 Year Old Yler Enix (Update: Father Charged with Murder of Kimberly Enix)
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued a statewide Tennessee AMBER Alert for the Knoxville Police Department for 2 year old Brooklynne Enix. She was kidnapped by her father in Fountain City. Officials with the TBI said 2-year-old Brooklynne Enix was last seen Tuesday. Her mother Kimberly Enix was found dead at her condo on 3200 Quiet Way in Knoxville, TN.
Investigators said Brooklynne’s father, 36-year-old Tyler Enix, may have taken the toddler. A warrant charging Tyler with first degree murder was issued late Wednesday night.
Tyler Enix has been convicted of domestic assault against an ex-girlfriend, aggravated assault and harassment.
Tyler was described as being 6-feet 2-inches tall, weighs 205 pounds, bald with blue eyes. TBI thinks he may be driving a black Chevy Impala with Tennessee tag G6116U.
Knoxville Police are still looking for Brooklynne Enix. Investigators believe her father kidnapped her after killing her mother, who was found dead in their Fountain City condominium in Knoxville.
Investigators said that officers were called to the Templeton Court condos in Fountain City to do a welfare check Wednesday after Kimberly Enix, 36, did not show up for work. Just after 2 p.m., they found Kimberly Enix dead inside her condominium, but her daughter, Brooklynne Emerie Enix, was no where to be found. Brooklynne has blonde or light brown hair, is 3 feet tall and weighs 38 lbs.
yler Enix, 36, has a history of aggression toward others, including his ex-girlfriend and ex-wife, according to Knox and Blount county records that date back more than a decade.
Five years ago in October 2010, he pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and harassment, and received a four-year prison sentence, records show. It’s unclear when he began the sentence and how long he served, but the state Department of Correction website notes that he was released in mid-July 2014.
If you have seen Brooklynne, Tyler Enix, or the vehicle, you are urged to contact the Knoxville Police Department at (865) 215-7212 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
