We have now reached critical mass insanity when a flag becomes more important and to blame for all the ills of racism and what has happened to blacks in this country, than the individual and vile acts of people and the liberal laws and policies that have caused blacks to be forever dependent on the government. Personally, I could care less about the Confederate battle flag, I am from the North. That being said, what is up with the bullying over demanding that private citizens of the United States be forced to do something, or else?
Al Sharpton’s National Action Network has publicly called on Kid Rock to denounce the Confederate flag and stop using it during his performances, claiming the flag is a racist symbol. Kid Rock responded to the group’s request in a statement that Fox News host Megyn Kelly read on the air Wednesday night, well read most of. Kid Rock said … “Please tell the people who are protesting to kiss my ass”.
It looks like Kid Rock’s ‘First Kiss’ Summer tour might (VIDEO) just become the “Kiss My Ass’ one instead.
Good for Kid Rock, some one has to stand up to these race-bating bullies. The Detroit chapter of National Action Network (NAN), the NYC based group founded by the Rev. Al Sharpton, also sent a letter requesting a meeting with Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors, which is sponsoring Rock’s summer tour. So if Kid Rock wont kneel down to these fools, they are going to look to extort and harass his sponsors. How unlike Al Sharpton. All these clowns got is some cutely phrased words calling Kid Rock, a home town Detroit hero who is a hero with the Confederate flag. Really? Just curious, when was the last time Kid Rock even used a Confederate flag in concert? Does it even matter to these people?
The Rev. Charles Williams II, who heads the Detroit activist group, insisted that GM withdraw its support from Rock, saying the flag represents racism and hatred.
Rock told the Free Press in 2002 that he used the flag during that year’s tour as a nod to Southern rock and a rebel spirit. It’s unclear how recently Rock has displayed Confederate flag imagery in concert, but some fans have told the Free Press it has not appeared onstage in several years, including Rock’s current tour.
UPDATE I: A note to these idiots who would go after a flag because its easy to deflect attention away from their own failings to their people and the liberal politics that has devastated and destroyed the city of Detroit over the years. To show you how misguided and how absurd all of this is, in 2011 Kid Rock received the organization’s Great Expectations Award, honoring him for his advocacy of Detroit city. He did so by attending with his teenage son Robert Ritchie Jr., who is black, the 56th Annual NAACP Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner at Cobo Hall on May 1, 2011 in Detroit, Michigan. Note to all, it was the NAACP who gave Kid Rock this award and guess what, he was using the Stars and Bars back then as well.
UPDATE II: Don’t forget that Kid Rock played in Washington, DC celebrating the inauguration of President Barack Obama in 2009. No one seemed to care of his use of of the Confederate flag back then. However, since then Kid Rock has basically called Obama a disappointment and a failure as the country has never been more divided. Hey Kid, that is what community agitators do.

This whole mess with the Confederate flag is nothing more than a bunch of socialist agitators who desire to obliterate history. History is the story of what actually happened. It cannot be changed, but it can be destroyed from the records by rewriting the accounts or as the Communists have done and others before them replace real history with fiction.
Everyone should read the document issued by South Carolina at the time they succeeded from the United States. It is of the same framework as the Declaration of Independence issued by the thirteen colonies to remove themselves from the British.
Abraham Lincoln and the remaining Northern states actually attacked a sovereign nation that was formed when the states located in the South would not stand for the forced sale of cotton via Northern Mills required by the United States Government.
South Carolina in particular desired to deal directly with the mills in Europe and remove the profits the U.S. government gave to the Northern mills. The law violated the constitution and was in fact a bill of attainder directed at farmers who grew cotton for the purpose of enriching the Northern mill owners.
This was the beginning of Federalism and the states in the South did not intend to let it happen. However, the United States lost a great deal of revenue and commerce and they decided to apply force to the Confederate States to force them back into the Union. The war was the result.
The fact that slavery existed in the South and some in the North was used as propaganda tool to stir up hatred in the North. The fact was that the largest slave owner of the time was a black man who owned almost 5,000 slaves. Even the native American Indians owned slaves.
Our schools do not teach real history and geography and they have not in about four generations. If the teachers are not taught correct history, they cannot teach it.
