Her parents believe that she may be with an ex-boyfriend, 18 year old Brian Caron of Broomfield, who has a lengthy criminal history. The police have attempted to contact Caron several times, they have not been able to reach him. Why must young girls like the bad boys? Boulder police are searching for a 17-year-old girl whose parents — fearing she may be with a boyfriend who has a criminal past — haven’t heard from her since Friday.

The missing girl, Kaia Hauser Femenias, a junior at Boulder’s September School, is described as 4-feet-11-inches tall, weighing 100 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes.

Her parents have told police that she may be with Brian Caron, 18, of Broomfield, who is described as having “a lengthy criminal history,” according to a news release.

Police say they have tried to contact Caron several times but haven’t reached him. He reportedly told family members that he’s living in Florida now, but officials haven’t confirmed that.

“I’ve messaged the mother on Facebook pleading with her to call me, and she has not called,” said Kaia’s mother, Ingrid Femenias. “I’m trying to reach out to Brian, and I’ve called him and told him to text me a picture of him in Florida, and he refuses to do that. Therefore, I’m highly suspicious. If he can’t prove his whereabouts, then I really suspect that Kaia’s with him.”
