75 Year Old Jack Nicklaus Nails a Hole-In-One at Masters Par 3 Contest
A BLAST FROM THE PAST … HOLE IN ONE FOR JACK NICKLAUS!!!
It warms my heart to see a golfing great Jack Nicklaus still has it. During yesterday’s Masters Par 3 Contest, the 75 year old Golden Bear Jack Nicklaus nailed a whole-in-one at the 4th hole. The crowd erupted!!! It was fantastic to see the worlds greatest golfer ever, to wake the echoes of his past brilliance captured in one moment in time at Augusta National. Maybe even more amazing is that prior to the Par 3 contest Nicklaus called it, “It’s funny, I had an interview this morning and I said, `Well, all I’ve got to do is go out and win the Par-3 and make a hole-in-one,’ and I make a hole-in-one.”
Jack Nicklaus thrilled the crowd Wednesday at the annual Masters par-3 contest, making a hole-in-one on the fourth hole.
The six-time Masters champion, playing in the exhibition at age 75, spun an iron shot back into the hole for the ace.
His ball bounced twice, then took a third hop before retreating into the hole. Nicklaus was congratulated by playing partners Ben Crenshaw and Gary Player.
Nicklaus acknowledged the ovation from the crowd, raising his arms in the air with a double fist-pump.
He says he may have called his own shot.
“It’s funny, I had an interview this morning and I said, `Well, all I’ve got to do is go out and win the Par-3 and make a hole-in-one,’ and I make a hole-in-one,” Nicklaus said.

Ir was a beautiful shot. The ball hit the green with just enough back-spin to begin using the tilt of the green as it rolled down to the cup.
