House of Representatives Approves Building the XL Keystone Pipeline 266-153

On Friday, the House of Representatives passed a bill approving the building on the XL Keystone pipeline 266-153. The long delayed project has been stalled by Barack Obama and his pandering to the Left-wing environmental-wackos was passed by the GOP controlled House along with 28 Democrat votes. It was passed just hours after a court in Nebraska cleared a final legal hurdle.  The Senate is supposed to vote on the Keystone pipeline next week where it will most certainly be passed in the new Republican controlled Senate with some Democrat support as well. However, Barack Obama has already stated that he will veto the bill proving that he never had any intention, nor Democrats of ever passing the it.

Charles Krauthammer on Obama’s Veto Threat: Republicans Should Say, “Bring It On, Mr. President.”

“There is no better way for the GOP to position itself for the 2016 elections and to show the country two things. One now that it controls the House and the Senate and now that Harry Reid is no longer there as the blocking guard for the president. That’s the reason why he didn’t have to use the veto. With Harry Reid gone and Mitch McConnell running the Senate, they are able to enact the agenda, they have an agenda. They should be willing to pass whatever they can and dare the president to use the veto.”

The Keystone XL pipeline cleared its first hurdle of the new Congress on Friday when the House voted to approve construction of the long-stalled project, just hours after a court in Nebraska cleared a final legal hurdle there.

The 266-153 vote saw 28 Democrats side with the GOP in backing the pipeline, signaling significant though not overwhelming support for the controversial project that would carry crude oil from Canada into the U.S. for refinement.

President Obama has already vowed a veto, and the vote signals there are probably not enough votes to override him if he does follow through.

The House has approved Keystone before, but the project has stalled in the Senate, which was controlled by Democrats. The GOP took control this week, however, and is speeding its own bill through its chamber, with an early test-vote slated for Monday.

“There is no excuse — scientific or otherwise — for the president to continue blocking the pipeline,” said House Speaker John A. Boehner. “An overwhelming majority of Americans support this job-creating energy project and President Obama ought to respect their will and stop standing in the way.”

Mitt Romney Tells Donors He’s Considering 2016 Presidential Run … “I Want to be President”

MITT ROMNEY TELLS DONORS, HE WANTS TO BE PRESIDENT.

In a room full of We the People powerful Republican donors on Friday, Mitt Romney told the group of about 30 individuals that he wanted to be president and was mulling a run in 2016. First reported by the Wall Street Journal, Romney’s comments electrified the world of Republican financiers, who are being courted aggressively by Bush, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida and other hopefuls. Electrified? Seriously, who the hell in their right mind would be inspired by a RINO who already had his chance to run for president for the GOP and lost to Obama who had terrible poll numbers, a terrible economy and Obamacare?

Remember when Mitt Romney said on Bloomberg TV on on October 6, 2014, “I’m Not Running, I’m Not Planning on Running.”

Mitt Romney forcefully declared his interest in a third presidential run to a room full of powerful Republican donors Friday, disrupting the fluid 2016 GOP field as would-be rival Jeb Bush was moving swiftly to consolidate establishment support.

Romney, the 2012 Republican nominee, has been mulling another campaign for several months, but his comments Friday marked a clear step forward in his thinking and come amid mounting tensions between the Romney and Bush camps.

“I want to be president,” Romney told about 30 donors in New York. He said that his wife, Ann — who last fall said she was emphatically against a run — had changed her mind and was now “very encouraging,” although their five sons remain split, according to multiple attendees.

So let’s get this straight, the powers that be in the GOP get giddy over the likes of another Bush presidency and another run from a failed RINO? Good grief. No wonder the GOP has not smelled a whiff of the White House in Years. The WSJ reports the many comments that Romney made previously about not running again in 2016 like “My Time Has … Come and Gone” and “I’m Not Running.” I guess misrepresenting the truth runs in the family when you are involved with Romneycare and Obamacare. A note to Mitt, Jeb and Christy, just because you are getting high poll numbers at this point does not mean anyone wants to vote for you, it just means those taking the poll know your name.

September 2014: “My Time Has … Come and Gone”

Mitt Romney on Fox News Sunday

“There’s no question in my mind that I think I would have been a better president than Barack Obama has been…I wish it were me. But my time has come — come and gone. I had that opportunity. I ran, I didn’t win. Now it’s time for someone else to pick up the baton.”

EXIT QUESTION: JUST HOW MANY RINO’S ARE GOING TO RUN IN 2016? It may not be the worst thing in the world as they will offset each other and maybe the Republican party can actually nominate a Conservative, rather than Democrat-light.

VIDEO – Orlando Sentinel, George Zimmerman charged with aggravated assault

Sun Sentinel – Lawyer: George Zimmerman charged after throwing bottle of wine at girlfriend.

George Zimmerman faces charges of aggravated assault with a weapon after allegedly throwing a bottle of wine at his girlfriend earlier this week, according to his lawyer.

Zimmerman, 31, was arrested Friday night in Lake Mary where he is currently living, but his attorney Don West said the fight involving his girlfriend happened four or five days ago.

Lake Mary Police spokeswoman Officer Bianca Gillett said the fight happened at Zimmerman’s Valley Wood Way residence in Lake Mary on Monday night, but nobody involved called the cops.

Police found out about the fight when they pulled Zimmerman’s girlfriend over for a routine traffic stop, Gillett said. More information about the incident was not immediately available.

Wearing blue scrubs and Crocs, Zimmerman stood before Judge John Galluzzo this morning where a $5,000 bond was set. It’s unclear if and when Zimmerman, who is currently unemployed, will post bond. West said he was not going to pay Zimmerman’s bond.

Even though this incident didn’t involve a firearm, Galluzzo told Zimmerman that he had until Tuesday to surrender any firearms in his possession.
