SNL … ‘MLK’ Learns What’s Going on in America Today and He’s Not Happy About It … “I Guess We’re Still Climbing That Mountain.”
SNL did a skit over the weekend with the ghost of Martin Luther King Jr. visiting a boy who needed to do a report on the Civil Rights leader.
When the boy informed MLK, played by Kenan Thompson, he was not all that impressed with the state of affairs in America. When told that the US elected its first black president, Barack Obama, MLK respoded, you said Barack O-what now … sounds like a Kenyan Muslim. Hmm, I guess it would have sounded more like one if student, Pete Davidson, had said his full name, Barack Hussein Obama.
Throughout the skit, MLK kept saying … “I guess we’re still climbing that mountain”.
I guess it would have been asking too much on liberal SNL to say that it was really race hustler Al Sharpton leading the civil rights movement and instead of protesting over the deaths of those like 14 year old Emmett Till, whose only crime was talking to a married, 21 year old white woman in 1955 Money Mississippi, today’s civil right movement was all about protesting the death of a black a punk at the hands of a white police officer, who committed a strong arm robbery of a store and then assaulted a police officer trying to take his gun. Yea, I get the two confused myself.
Also, not being told to the ghost of MLK was the division caused by the first elected black president, Barack Obama. Also absent was any reference that black Americans have been worse off under Obama. And I wonder why SNL excluded the fact that Americans believe that race relations are worse under the first elected black president? From the Civil Rights icon who famously made the following statement, “I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character” would say about Barack Obama who used skin color and appearances in interjecting himself in the Trayvon Martin case, ‘If I Had A Son, He’d Look Like Trayvon.’
The ghost of “Martin Luther King Jr.,” played by Kenan Thompson, paid a visit to a boy trying to write a school paper on the upcoming holiday during this week’s “Saturday Night Live.”
But it was ‘MLK,’ not the kid, who wound up learning a lot during the sketch — and he didn’t like most of what he learned.
When he hears that the first black president is named Barack Obama, ‘MLK’ blurts out, “Barack O-what now? He sounds like a Kenyan Muslim!”
“MLK” gets hit with a slew of downer news — the boulevards that bear his name aren’t in the nicest neighborhoods, “Selma” got snubbed for Oscar consideration, and Macklemore, “like, the whitest dude ever,” is the face of American hip-hop.
“We’re still climbing that mountain,” “MLK” says sadly.

“From the family, we know who’s unaccounted for,” Davies said, though he declined to say who specifically could not be located. “If you look at the damage, you know, it would not be a stretch to think that if there were occupants that they did not survive the fire.”
Earlier, Davies had said the home’s occupants might have been out of town.
Anne Arundel County officials say each of the missing people are family members.
UPDATE I: Crews suspend search for six people missing following fire at Annapolis area mansion.

Don Pyle, 56, lived in the 16,000sq ft home with his wife Sandra. Authorities are yet to confirm the deaths but a local headteacher sent out a letter to staff and students on Tuesday confirming the family had been killed and naming the grandchildren as Lexi Boone, Katie Boone, Charlotte Boone and Wes Boone.
Stacey Boone, mother to two daughters Lexi and Katie with Sandra Pyle’s son Randy Boone, also confirmed they had died, according to The Capital.

Billy Crystal Says ‘Stop Shoving Gay Sex Scenes in My Face’ … Wait for the Wrath of the LGBT
RUT-ROH, look for the LGBT Nazi’s to bash Billy Crystal for having an opinion against theirs …
Long time actor Billy Crystal told the Television Critics Association that gay scenes aren’t “to his taste”. Billy Crystal stated,I hope people don’t abuse it and shove it in our face to the point where it feels like an every-day kind of thing.” Crystal’s basic point, which is most likely the same opinion as many people, V writers are “pushing it” when it comes to gay story-lines, and is wary of seeing same sex relationships shoved “in our face.” Crystal just touched the third rail of PC society and came out with an pinion that was not pro-Gay. Look for him to now be branded a “homophobe” by the oh so tolerant LGBT community
SOAP: When we were younger, there were no such things as homosexuals
Billy Crystal, who played one of the first openly gay characters on TV in the Seventies, told the Television Critics Association that gay scenes aren’t “to his taste”.
Speaking during a panel interview in Pasadena, the actor said: “Sometimes I think: ‘Ah that’s too much for me’.
“Sometimes, it’s just pushing it a little too far for my taste and I’m not going to reveal to you which ones they are. I hope people don’t abuse it and shove it in our face to the point where it feels like an every-day kind of thing,” Crystal added.
Of course Billy Crystal, now persona now ‘persona non grata’ with the LGBT, as well as mocked and cursed. However but it was actually Crystal who was a trend setter for the same haters during the 1970′s when he played an openly gay character, Jodie Dallas, during one of my favorite shows of all times. ‘Soap’.
And here comes tweets from those tolerant folks that ask everyone else to be tolerant, but themselves.

Maybe Taylor Swift has a new back up dancer for her next VIDEO. Check out the video, officer Davis has the hand shake it off gesture down pat and the head bobs too. He doesn’t even miss a beat when he is busted by some one in a car and he gives a hand wae and goes about bopping the the music. There are so many classic moments to this video, it is a must watch. You can see in the video, officer Davis knows every word to ‘Shake It Off’. “While reviewing in-car cameras we tend to see some ‘interesting things,’ reads an introduction to the video. “We decided to share some of them with you in a new series called Dash Cam Confessionals.
And there comes Davis, in full uniform, sitting behind the wheel of his patrol car with Swift wailing from its speakers.
He lip-syncs. He tilts his head, rolls his eyes and covers his chest with a hand.
The funniest bits occur when he sees someone passing by and gives them a very serious wave.
Check out the many freeze frames of police officer Jeff Davis Shaking it off. I have to admit it, listening to Taylor Swift is one of my guilty pleasures as well as I am hardly the demographic. I wonder if Dana Pretzer does the same in his patrol car? Hey Dana, what music are you car-dancing to?
