25 Year Old John Nicholas Jonchuck Jr. Arrested After Throwing His Daughter Phoebe Jonchuck from the Dick Misener Bridge 60 feet to Her Death in Tampa, FL
GOOD GOD, WHY DO WE ALLOW CHILDREN TO BE AROUND DANGEROUS PARENTS!!!
25 year old John Nicholas Jonchuck Jr. was arrested after this deranged SOB pulled his 5 year old daughter, Phoebe Jonchuck, from her pink car seat and threw her from the Dick Misener Bridge to her death into the waters 60 feet below in Tampa Bay, Florida. UNREAL. John Nicholas Jonchuck has been charged with first degree murder. How did this father have any form of custody of this child when he had prior domestic violence arrests?
Please, save the Florida tax payer of a trial and just toss his ass off the same bridge.

A demented dad tossed his 5-year-old daughter to her death off a Florida bridge early Thursday, then drove off as frantic rescuers tried to recover the little girl’s body, police said.
Some 30 minutes after the fatal fall near the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in St. Petersburg, Fla., cops caught up to 25-year-old John Nicholas Jonchuck Jr. and arrested him on murder charges.
A St. Petersburg police officer was headed home south on Interstate 275 when a white PT Cruiser blew by him going 100 miles per hour just after midnight Thursday, police said. The officer followed and saw Jonchuck stop the car, pull little Phoebe Jonchuck from her pink car seat and throw the girl over the railing of the Dick Misener Bridge on the approach to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, which connects St. Pete with Terra Ceia in the Tampa area on Florida’s west coast.
John Nicholas Jonchuck faces first-degree murder charges in the death of his daughter who he threw off the Sunshine Skyway bridge into the bay just after midnight.
An officer heading home after his shift saw Jonchuck’s vehicle speed past at nearly 100 mph, Holloway said. The officer prepared to pull the PT Cruiser over, but by the time he caught up with it, Jonchuck had pulled over on the side of the road.
Holloway said Jonchuck got out and started toward the officer, who pulled his weapon. But Jonchuck went around to the passenger side of the car and got the child out.
The officer “thought he heard the child scream, but he wasn’t sure,” Holloway said. The officer then saw the man throw the child over, into the strong bay current.
Her body was recovered about a mile from the bridge and hour and a half later. Rescue crews tried to revive her, but she was pronounced dead at 2:44 a.m.

I have seen several articles about this horrible crime and the things leading up to this. As I recall, first Dad called a sheriff’s deputy saying he did not want to hurt anyone, then dad’s lawyer called 911 to say he was acting weird. Police came to check him out and thought he was fine and left. How many times have we heard this before? Then he was speeding like crazy to a bridge before he tossed his alive? deceased? daughter off the bridge.
I know this someway messes with citizen rights, but I think, just as sex offenders have to go out of the way to do things to be available, as we try to decrease the recidivism rate, and make people aware of who they are, by reporting where they live and by setting up parameters where they can live and go, domestic violence offenders should also have some parameters. At the least, they should be removed from children or anyone who may be at risk, as soon as someone reports they are acting in a certain negative way.
I realize someone with a vendetta could call this in when there is no real problem, but they could do that to a sex offender, too. Once you make the decision to use violence towards another person, you should lose the right to be with vulnerable people when someone has reported that your behavior is off. If someone is making false reports, that will have to be dealt with just like other false reporters.
I think domestic violence offenders should have an asterisk or some kind of marking (I am sure it depends on your community, but I believe an asterisk is put next to your home address if you have someone in the house who may have special needs and may not be able to communicate effectively, may act differently, or may possibly run away/hide/not respond to others who are trying to offer assistance, so there may have to be some other symbol used).
I know this is not perfect and there is room for abuse, just as there is for any law. There has to be some way to tweak this, but just as sex offense is not about sex but about violence and power, why aren’t we keeping our eyes on those who have a history of violence? There has to be a way to protect the vulnerable, give the victims their power back, and protect our children before they become victims and possibly perpetuate the cycle of violence.
This is cold blooded premeditated murder.
