AMBER ALERT Issued in Austin, TX Area after Kidnapping of 2 Year Old Missing Cheyenne Infinity Johnson (Update: AMBER ALERT Canceled After Standoff, Cheyenne Infinity Johnson Safe, 33 Year Old Jesse William Thomas Arrested)

 

An Austin-area AMBER ALERT was issued Friday night for 2 year old  Cheyenne Infinity Johnson in Houston, TX as authorities believed that the 2 year old girl was in grave or immediate danger. Cheyenne Infinity Johnson was abducted by her father, who who no longer has parental rights. Thomas is considered dangerous and has multiple arrests for past family violence.

Police say Thomas showed up to his mother’s house on Friday and she refused to let him in. “He then went around to the back of the house, kicked in the door and took the child,” Austin Police Detective J.J. Schmidt said.

Police later received information that Thomas was at a UHaul store and a short pursuit followed. Authorities said Thomas reached speeds over 100 miles per hour as he fled from officers with the girl inside.

Thomas was driving black 2005 Mercury Marquis 4-door with Texas license plate number DN3F648. The car has 22-inch silver rims and damage to the rear bumper.

Police say Thomas, 33, is considered dangerous and should not be approached. He has been arrested several times and has been charged with family violence in the past.

2-year-old safe after father surrenders during SWAT standoff

UPDATE I: Standoff in NW Harris County with suspect from central Texas Amber Alert.

A 2-year-old girl is safe after authorities arrested a suspect linked to an Austin-area Amber Alert Saturday morning, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.

A High Risk Operations Unit was sent to a standoff near a Ross Department Store at Texas 249 and Spring Cypress in northwest Harris County, where the 2-year-old’s father was holding her hostage.

Authorities said Jesse Thomas, 33, abducted Cheyenne Thomas from her south Austin home Friday afternoon.

According to KXAN, an Austin NBC-affiliate, Thomas showed up at his mother’s house on Anita Drive Friday afternoon, but she refused to let him in. “He then went around to the back of the house, kicked in the door and took the child,” Austin Police Detective J.J. Schmidt told KXAN.

According to the Austin Police Department, Thomas’ parental rights had been relinquished. He has been arrested several times and has been charged with family violence in the past.

Missing 2 year old Cheyenne Infinity Johnson  is now safe and the standoff is over.

      I am glad the child is safe and the crazy bio father is in custody.

      The high speed chase began in Austin and was terminated South of Austin because of the danger to other drivers. This means the man knew enough of the back roads to drive undetected from Austin to NW Houston, a distance of approx. 175 miles.
