Kentucky Kickback … Senate McConnell-Reid Deal Includes $2 Billion Earmark for Kentucky Dam Project … Make that $3 Billion

UNBELIEVABLE … AND WE THE PEOPLE WONDER WHY WE HAVE A $17 TRILLION DEBT WHEN WE HAVE GOP ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS LIKE THIS

So as the MSM is telling you who are the “winners” and “losers” of the government shutdown ending, add Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to the list of greedy winners. Why you ask? As reported at WFPL News, the deal between Harry Reid (D-NV) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY) included a $2 billion, oops sorry … $3 billion earmark for a Kentucky damn dam project. And you wonder why McConnell pushed this bill in the Senate?

Mitch_McConnell2

But it’s only $2 billion, oh I misspoke, I meant $3 trillion

A proposal to end the government shutdown and avoid default orchestrated by Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader Harry Reid includes a nearly $3 billion earmark for a Kentucky project.

Language in a draft of the McConnell-Reid deal (see page 13, section 123) provided to WFPL News shows a provision that increases funding for the massive Olmsted Dam Lock in Paducah, Ky., from $775 million to nearly $2.9 billion.

The dam is considered an important project for the state and region in regards to water traffic along the Ohio River.

We wonder why “establishment” republicans hate the Tea Party and those elected to office to reduce spending and the debt? The GOP power elite is just as bad as the Democrats and Barack Obama. They are just as respinsible for a bloated $17 trillion debt and seem to care little about reducing it. I could not agree more with The Gateway Pundit when Jim says, “This looks really bad, Mitch — Really, really bad.”

So we have a federal debt about to go over $17 trillion, the debt limit has just been raised, government spending is continuing to be out of control and unsustainable and we have establishment Republicans like Mitch McConnell getting theirs and making matters worse. Yet some how it is fiscal minded Conservatives like Sens.Ted Cruz (R-TX)Rand Paul, Rand Paul (R-KY) and Mike Lee (R-UT) who are called crazy, dangerous extremists. God help this country. However, as the Lonely Conservative correctly states, the real “losers” in this are the American People!

This is exactly the reason why “establishment” Republicans who have forgotten what it means to be a Republican need to be primary challenged.

Did Mitch McConnell not learn from what happened to Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) and the Corn Husker Kickback?

We’ve seen how ill-informed and uninformed voters keep electing politicians who really don’t represent what those voters think they do. Bottom line, it is NOT what they say; it is what they DO that matters. The ultimate measure of a U.S. Congressman is his voting record.

Let’sask ourselves, just how important can the
continuing job security of a Congress Person
be? What won’t a politician sell out for the drugs
of power and persistence? Kentucky should go
ahead and accept the 3 Billion and shove Mitch
      out the door as well.

Possibly politicans sell-out because they know, are well aware, any “genuine” efforts are for naught, a charade, as America’s future has already been determined by Wallstreet, the Fed, and the Global banksters.

Unbeatable as Americans are not cohesive enough to win the war.

Completely disheartening, but a seemingly good economic/political explanation outlining the plan for America and it’s peoples financial future, from an outsider perspective.

I’m ashamed to say it, but one of my Senators, Lamar Alexander, along with Dianne Feinstein, was responsible for inserting this pork into the agreement. I assume they did it at the behest of McConnell so that he could have plausible deniability. It isn’t plausible that he denies it.

I’d like to add that they don’t hate the Tea Party as much as they fear the American people.
