White House Press Secretary Jay Carney Defended Obama for Using “Gun to the Head” Rhetoric During Government Shutdown Debate
Isn’t it President Barack Obama and Democrats who are the one’s that are so anti-guns and want gun control?
Just two weeks after the Navy Shipyard shooting, Fox News reporter Ed Henry questioned the wisdom of the Barack Obama remark using “gun to the head” rhetoric VIDEO) throughout the shutdown debate. Of course Obama’s mouth piece, Jay Carney, defended this bosses comment by saying that the GOP and the media have done the same. Really? So welcome to an America where the President is not held to a higher standard and supposed to show leadership. Isn’t it amazing that Obama, who is for gun control and has called for the weakening of the Second Amendment feels free to make such hateful and divisive comments.
Wasn’t it Obama who called for civility following the Tucson, AZ shootings? Yup, no double standard here.
Hours before shots were fired outside the Capitol, Jay Carney defended Obama for using “gun to the head” rhetoric throughout the shutdown debate — and pointed out that Ed Henry has used a similar metaphor.
At Thursday’s White House press briefing, Fox News reporter Ed Henry asked Press Secretary Jay Carney if President Obama’s remarks about Republicans “holding a gun to the head of the American people” by threatening a government shutdown were wise given September’s mass shooting at the Naval Yard in Washington, D.C.
But it was not the first time Barack Obama made this same irresponsible comment. Flashback … Obama held the final press conference of his first term by demanding that House Republicans raise the $16.4 trillion debt ceiling. Republicans, alleged the president, were “holding a gun at the head of the American people” by demanding Democrats cut deficit spending.
And it gets better, or worse as the case may be. The Lonely Conservative reports that Barack Obama and Harry Reid are holding seniors hostage. As LC says, who is trying to throw granny over the cliff?

harry reid and obama attitudes toward John Boehner and the GOP were insulting, degrading, accusing, arrogant, gut wrenching and utterly disgusting. democrats should be ashamed of their unacceptable behavior.
harry reid is an extremely rude man along with obama. and then there is the wicked witch from the west, peloski. the Washington elitist’s should of read the the bill before they passed it. Damn democrats.
So far the number of people that have managed to get through to the obamacareless plan have not signed up. only a very small percentage. young people that obama is counting on aren’t going to be there, they are having difficult finding a job and if they do they’re not making much money, so they cannot afford the insurance.
I hope most of you get voted out of office for passing this disaster.
obama is stupid. all the uproar about firearms from the commiecrats is nothing but useless propaganda.
the democrats are the ones holding the gun to the head of the american people. that’s why they want to ban individual ownership and possession of firearms.
the is all part of their “transformation of america” plan. part of the softening up and disarming of the public to quell resistance.
Hmmm, seems like i’ve read a book or two about how this is supposed to end.
THE DEMOCRATIC DOUBLE STANDARD
PALIN SLAMS CNN FOR ‘CROSSFIRE’ HYPOCRISY
8 Apr 201
CNN is reportedly going to bring back Crossfire, the debate show the network canceled in June 2005.
“Wasn’t CNN among those who issued blistering criticism about the use of a ‘crossfire’ icon in 2010 to represent political districts we wished to see represented by common sense conservatives?” Palin asked.
On the night Giffords was shot on January 8, 2011, CNN, without any evidence whatsoever in a segment the network would later come to regret, implied Palin’s 2010 map played a role in inciting the violence. They discussed how Palin’s use of the phrase, “don’t retreat, reload,” may have also created an environment that made the shooting possible.
As Palin noted, “CNN, among others, implied that using a ‘crossfire’ icon (which was a tactic first employed by Democrats to illustrate political maps of districts they ‘targeted’ to win) was inciting violence.”
CNN, along with other mainstream media networks, refused to acknowledge all the examples of Democrats having used “crossfire” icons to “target” districts while rushing to link Palin to the attempted murder of Giffords and the murder of six others.

I have read THE BOOK regarding how all this WILL end. However … THE BOOK also reminds readers that resignation is not the answer.
Think about it. My long-time neighbour/friend who is my inspiration has been living with MS for many years. She is not naive regarding the eventual outcome of this devastating condition but that does not stop her from fighting … from taking advantage of every means available to prolong the inevitable while living life to its fullest within her God-given strength.

Beth Holloway also exemplifies what I was attempting to convey in my previous comment regarding the meaning of fighting for for a worthwhile cause.

A Mother’s Testament of Hope and Faith

PAGE 103: All my life I’ve heard people of many faiths talk about “taking it to the cross and turning it over to the Lord” or just simply “turning it over”. NOT THE WORK THAT HAS TO BE DONE. JUST THE BURDEN. I cast it upon Him so that I may be sustained. And I am renewed, resilient. Thankful for however long this resurgence in energy will carry me. I will pick up one foot and put it down. Then the other one will follow. I will breathe. There is much to be done.
