MSM & LEFT Continue to Trivialize Civil Rights and Martin Luther King Jr’s Message … Colin Powell Criticizes the George Zimmerman Murder Trial Verdict as “Questionable” in Death of Trayvon Martin

Really, would Martin Luther King Jr. have used the Trayvon Martin case as an example in the ‘I have a Dream’ speech? This is where today’s Civil Rights leaders fail miserably and the MSM simply spews their hateful propaganda. How can they possibly trivialize King’s “Dream” with Trayvon Martin … “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” It’s about “character” … remember that.

On CBS ‘Face the Nation,’ Colin Powell was asked about the implications and fall out of the Trayvon Martin case. Colin Powell stated, “It will be seen as a questionable judgement on the part of the judicial system down there, But I don’t know if it will have staying power.” Isn’t it some thing that when he does not agree with a verdict, it is questionable. Many would say what you have done in your past is questionable as well Colin.  No staying power, eh Mr. Powell? The liberal MSM and race hustlers are going to see that it does have staying power as they exploit the events between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin for their own purposes and attempt to pursue their agenda that had nothing to do with the case.

Any one who has any understanding of history, any knowledge of the Civil Rights movement knows that it is a joke to interject Trayvon Martin into the lexicon of civil rights in the United States. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. told us all in was about the “content of one’s charter” … not about the content of your political ideology.

VIDEO – CBS ‘Face the Nation’ - at the 5:30 point of video Colin Powell is asked about Trayvon Martin verdict

Yahoo News:

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell says the jury verdict that freed the killer of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin was “questionable.” But he isn’t sure it will have staying power in the public consciousness.

Speaking on CBS’s Face the Nation, Powell said cases like Martin’s “blaze across the midnight sky” and are forgotten.

As stated at CNN, Powell said Sunday he’d like Obama to “be more passionate about race questions.” Huh? Maybe the question should have been that should Obama be more consistent when it came to race crimes and not just come out and say, “if I had a son, he would look like Trayvon” and then be silent when there is black on white crime and even more noticeably, black on black crime like the killing fields in Chicago. More passionate about race questions? How about he care about the education and unemployment rates of blacks in America? More passionate about race questions? How about this president not pit blacks vs. whites? I would dare say that Martin Luther King Jr. would have an issue with this “Divider” in Chief.

Don’t Mess with Texas … Obama Rodeo Clown Fired & Banned in Missouri is a Special Guest Star at the Mesquie Rodeo

Don’t mess with Texas … the Mesquie rodeo is bringing in the Obama rodeo clown along with three other presidential rodeo clowns. The Obama clown is a special guest star as the Mesquie Rodeo puts on the grand finale to its 2013 season with non-stop action you will only find in the aptly named ‘Rodeo Capital of Texas’.

To those who have no clue, have never watched a rodeo or have ever been to one, having presidential clowns at them is a tradition. This is nothing special targeting Barack Obama. No one squawked when there was a GWB clown. But the thin-skinned, always at the ready to cry racism LEFT always act like children in their reaction to anything that could be mean to Obama. How dare they. Too bad they did not also have the same feelings when it came to doing something that was in poor taste against Jesus. But in that case it is called “art” and “freedom of speech”.

Obama_rodeo clown

Mesquite Arena General Manager Steve Gander reportedly said presidential rodeo clowns have been a long standing tradition at rodeos and that Obama will be joined at the event by three other presidents this weekend.

“Presidential and celebrity clowns and dummies have been in rodeo and other sports and entertainment events since before Richard Nixon,” Gander reportedly wrote.

“We are just being current and exercising our freedom of speech,” he added, assuring it will be “good clean family entertainment” and that the rodeo clowns will be “respectful.”

The ridiculous over-reaction in Missouri got the Obama rodeo clown banned for life from the State fair. How typical, Obama once again causing people to lose jobs and the LEFT causing nothing but problems and sticking their nose in where it does not belong. However, how is it that the NAACP wanted the Obama rodeo clown brought up on hate crimes and destroyed , yet Ayo Kimathi, an employee at the DHS can post anti-white, race war … In Order for Black people to Survive the 21st Century, We are Going to Have to Kill a lot of Whites” … and still retain his job? Sorry, suspended with pay is still retaining one’s job.

NSA Officers Spy on Love Interests … Spycraft Label: LOVEINT

Is this any over-sight on the NSA?

Even more scandals from the NSA … not only are they spying on “We the People,” they are using billion dollar equipment to spy on their girl friends? Unreal, through LOVEINT, intelligence was  gathered by NSA agents that targeted their sweethearts, would-be or actual. Glad we are using this high tech information for its intended purpose, protecting us from terrorists. So how much did this cost tax payers? Can some one just come out and admit that the NSA has been given far too much unsupervised power and it needs to be reined in now!

WTF

National Security Agency officers on several occasions have channeled their agency’s enormous eavesdropping power to spy on love interests, U.S. officials said.

The practice isn’t frequent — one official estimated a handful of cases in the last decade — but it’s common enough to garner its own spycraft label: LOVEINT.

Spy agencies often refer to their various types of intelligence collection with the suffix of “INT,” such as “SIGINT” for collecting signals intelligence, or communications; and “HUMINT” for human intelligence, or spying.

How is it that I can lose my job if I use company resources for personal use, but NSA officers can use government, tax payer spy equipment for their personal use to spy on girl friends and they get a slap on the write, at best?

Missing – Myranda Dale Southern (Myranda Whisenant)

The mother of two young children was last seen around midnight at Charter Communications in Simpsonville where she worked.

She was supposed to be heading to Zellwood, Florida to visit family, however she never showed up.

WSPA-TV was contacted by a Lauren Searcy, a neighbor of Southern’s, on Wednesday, in reference to the disappearance. Searcy lived right next door to Southern and the two women became close by being in such close contact.

Searcy said she was very upset because Southern was acting very out of character leaving Greenville County before she told friends she was leaving. Searcy said the two would sit out on their porches while their children played.

Searcy said Southern had two children, 8 and 10 years old whom she loved very much.

“We haven’t heard from her at all. Monday was her daughters birthday and she is an amazing mother and would have never missed her daughters birthday,” said Searcy.

Searcy said Southern let her children go visit her mother for a week before they were to go back to school on Wednesday. Searcy said Southern missed her children very much and decided to head down early on Monday to get them.

UPDATE I: Some say strange activity on missing woman’s Facebook page.

“Her children are her world, that’s why we fear something is wrong,” said close friend and neighbor Lauren Searcy.

Searcy says there has been strange activity on the missing woman’s Facebook account.

“There’s been some odd messages on Facebook, and no one has spoken to her verbally,” said Searcy. “The way the Facebook messages are worded, we do not believe at all they are her.”

UPDATE II: Body found in search for missing mom.

A body was found on Friday afternoon, not far from where a mother vanished.  That mom is central Florida native Myranda Whisenant Southern.

Officials in Laurens County, South Carolina confirmed that the body of a white female was found around 12:30 p.m. on Friday as a man was clearing some brush.

UPDATE III: Autopsy fails to provide ID of body found.

An autopsy performed on Saturday failed to provide an ID of the body found in a pasture on Friday to be that of missing Myranda Whisenant. I do not mean to be graphic, but Myranda Whisenant/Myranda Dale Southern has only been missing since Monday. How could the body be so unidentifiable? If this does turn out to be Myranda, it is obvious that a crime was committed.

An autopsy Saturday on the remains of a woman found in Gray Court failed to identify whether the body is that of a missing woman last seen alive in Simpsonville.

Laurens County Coroner Francis “Nick” Nichols told WYFF that more will have to be done to determine if the woman found in a pasture on Friday is Myranda Whisenant Southern of Taylors, reported missing after last seen alive in Simpsonville on Aug. 19.

“It was inconclusive,” Nichols told WYFF.  “We’re now looking at dental records.  If we decide to do DNA testing, that could take four or five days.”

UPDATE IV:Laurens County body identified as missing Taylors woman,  Myranda Southern.

A body found in a Laurens County field nearly a week ago has been identified as 31-year-old Myranda Dale Southern, a mother of two and someone whom friends described as “a really devoted mother, a really good friend, a family person.”

Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols said Southern, whose last known address was in Taylors, died as a result of a gunshot wound to the neck, and he has ruled her death a homicide.

Linda Ronstadt Diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease … Says She Can’t Sing a Note

Sad Day in Mudville … Where has all the great music gone?

I was saddened to learn today that one of my favorite singers of all time, Linda Ronstadt, suffers from Parkinson’s disease.  In an interview with the AARP, the legendary singer stated that she cannot sing a note. The 67 year old singer said she was diagnosed wit Parkinson’s 8 months ago. Ronstadt said, “No one can sing with Parkinson’s disease, No matter how hard you try.” It is hard to believe that she will never sing again such songs as ‘When Will I be Loved,’ ‘Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me,’ ‘Different Drum’, ‘The Tracks of My Tears’, ‘Desperado,’ and so many, many more.

Legendary singer Linda Ronstadt, 67, told AARP today that she “can’t sing a note” because she suffers from Parkinson’s disease. Diagnosed eight months ago, Ronstadt began to show symptoms as long as eight years ago. But she ascribed her inability to sing to a tick bite (“my health has never recovered since then”), and believed the shaking in her hands resulted from shoulder surgery.

In a wide-ranging interview with AARP’s music writer Alanna Nash to be published on aarp.org next week, Ronstadt revealed how she discovered that “there was something wrong” with her voice.

“I couldn’t sing,” she told Nash, “and I couldn’t figure out why. I knew it was mechanical. I knew it had to do with the muscles, but I thought it might have also had something to do with the tick disease that I had. And it didn’t occur to me to go to a neurologist. I think I’ve had it for seven or eight years already, because of the symptoms that I’ve had. Then I had a shoulder operation, so I thought that’s why my hands were trembling.

One of my favorite songs of all times … ‘All My Life’ Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville … and can’t forget ‘Don’t Know Much’

The Telegraph:

During her career, Ronstadt, who was born in Arizona, won 11 Grammy Awards as well as two Country Music Awards and an Emmy. She was also nominated for a Tony Award for her role in the 1981 musical The Pirates of Penzance.

Her 1977 song ‘Blue Bayou’ peaked at No. 3 in the British charts, while her duet with Aaron Neville, ‘Don’t Know Much’, reached No. 4 in 1989. In 1978, she made an estimated $12 million, the equivalent to $43 million (£27 million) today. Dubbed “Rock’s Venus” by Rolling Stone magazine, she also featured on the front pages of numerous publications throughout her career.

On a person note: There is not one album, yes album, record, 33, that I do not own of Linda Ronstadt from her days singing with the Stone Poneys to her solo career. I am going to date myself, but what the heck. I can remember when one of my high school buddies and I got tickets for the Linda Ronstandt concert where Quarterflash was the openings act. How about that Quarterflash, there is a blast from the 80′s past with ‘Harden My Heart’. Any how, some thing happened with a dispute and next thing we know Quarterflash was no longer performing and they were going to move the concert from the Hartford Civic Center to the Bushnell Auditorium. We thought, this is going to stink, what’s the Bushnall and what are out seats going to be like? Boy were we wrong. We were 15 rows back, center in what can only be described as seeing a concert in a move theater. This was also a time when you were allowed to bring cameras in to concerts and not digital ones. We are talking Cannon and Minolta 35 mm with 200-400mm zoom lenses. It was one of the best concerts ever and some of the most incredible pictures ever. Truly a sad day as probably one of my first celebrity crushes is stricken and can no longer sing. Sad day indeed.
