The Hypocrite in Chief … After Demonizing the Rich, President Obama only Pays Effective Tax Rate of 18.4% for 2012

THE LION LYING KING: There has been no greater hypocrite to ever grace the White House than President Barack Hussein Obama … The following is subtitles. Taxes for thee, not for me.

President Barack Obama is about class warfare, he is about dividing America and now he is about hypocrisy. During the 2012 Presidential campaign Obama railed on the 1%’ers and called all those rich people who paid less than their secretaries the evil rich. Obama harped on the so-called Buffett Rule, which would require millionaires to pay at least 30% of their income in taxes. Of course this came about because the evil rich were making most of their money from investments as opposed to income, that are taxed at a different rate. During the 2012 presidential election Obama played class warfare and went after his GOP opponent Mitt Romney who paid about 14% on his income. Obama made political hay lying to the American public and using the issue that ultra-rich Warren Buffett paid less in his tax rate than did his secretary.  However, in 2011 the hypocrite that resides in the White House also paid a lower effective tax rate than his secretary.

What, You thought the 30% tax for the rich was meant for me?

Guess what, Obama is even more of a hypocrite in 2012 than he was in 2011.

According the WSJ, President Barack Obama paid an effective tax rate of only 18.4%. Yup America, that’s it. For all his whining, for all his rhetoric, for all his class warfare and the rich should pay 30% … OBAMA ONLY PAID 18%. I guess this is more of the shared sacrifice that Obama talks about. Obama tells other rich folks that they are evil because they pay a low tax effective rate, yet he takes advantage of the same deductions and loop holes that everyone else does. If he was a true leader and really had the convictions of his beliefs, he would have told his accountants not to take the deductions and make it that his effective rate came to 30% for 2012. However, he did not do so because like every liberal, he wants others to pay the money, not themselves.

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama paid $112,214 in federal income taxes for 2012 on adjusted gross income of $608,611, an effective rate of 18.4%, the White House said.

The first family’s adjusted gross income—the amount after certain deductions and exemptions—was down from $789,674 the Obamas reported in 2011, when they paid total federal taxes of $162,074, an effective rate of 20.5%.

The decline was due primarily to falling royalties from sales of books Mr. Obama has written, according to tax returns released Friday. The president’s book-related earnings peaked in 2009 when he garnered about $5.6 million from two publications, “The Audacity of Hope” and “Dreams From My Father.” The royalties have fallen over time, to just under $274,000 in 2012.

The Obamas paid $29,450 in state income tax to Illinois for 2012.

Obama is truly a disgrace as President. Where is the MSM calling Obama out on his double standard hypocrisy? Personally, I do not believe in the “Buffett Rule”, but if one did and actually wanted to make it a law, one would think that they would lead by example. Not this president.

Keeping Hope Alive Rally at the University of Tennessee Martin Parsons Campus: 2 Year Anniversary of Missing Holly Bobo Disappearing into the Woods Behind Her Darden, TN Home

Saturday marked the two year anniversary since Holly Bobo went missing at 7:30 am Wednesday morning, April 13, 2011 when she was lead away into the woods with a man wearing camouflage from her home on Swan Johnson Road in Darden, Tennessee.  She has never been head from or seen again. However, Holly’s family has not given up hope as Pastor Don Franks, the Bobo family’s pastor, was one of nearly 400 people at the Keeping Hope Alive rally at the University of Tennessee Martin Parsons Campus on Saturday. The event has a 5K run, a motorcycle ride, a balloon release and country singer Bryan Moffitt will be singing in her honor.

Two years ago Saturday, Holly Bobo disappeared into the woods behind her home in Darden, but Pastor Don Franks said he wants the world to know that Bobo’s family and the community have not given up on finding her. Franks, the Bobo family’s pastor, was one of nearly 400 people at the Keeping Hope Alive rally at the University of Tennessee Martin Parsons Campus on Saturday. “It was two years ago today that Holly was scheduled to come to this campus right through these doors and take a test that day. Had things gone as she had planned, she would have finished her nursing degree and gone on with her life,” Franks said. “Our safety and security two years ago was shattered, but we’re determined to get it back. We’re determined to find Holly, and we’re determined to bring the people responsible to justice. And we’re not going to stop until we do.”

The family believes Holly Bobo is still alive and being held by her abductor and they have been strengthened by the fact that the community has been there supporting them. They believe that some one in the community has answers to the whereabouts and disappearance of their daughter and “Now is not the time to give up.”They are urging any one with any information, leads or tips to come forward.

Public High School Assignment from Albany, New York … Convince the Nazi Teacher that Jews are Evil and Your Loyalty to the Third Reich (Update: Teacher Put on Leave)

OK, this one just gets one big WTF!!! Just when you thought you had heard it all when it comes to  public school propaganda, comes the following disgusting and anti-Semitic home work assignment.

High School is supposed to be about challenging students and making them think, but I hardly believe that the following from an Albany high school is the intention of such critical thinking. As reported at the NY Times, students were given an alarming thought puzzle as home work to convince their teacher that Jews are evil? UNBELIEVABLE. Where does one even begin? Just how clueless, insensitive and ignorant could this teacher possibly be? How does one even given such an assignment if such thoughts were not in there mind? How does it even come to a teachers thought that students were supposed to prove they were loyal members of the Third Reich and convince their Nazi professor that Jews were evil and the source of all problems? The teacher’s assignment read as follows: “Please remember, your life (here in Nazi Germany in the 30′s) may depend on it!”

That question was posed to about 75 students on Monday by an unidentified 10th-grade English teacher as a “persuasive writing” exercise. The students were instructed to imagine that their teacher was a Nazi and to construct an argument that Jews were “the source of our problems” using historical propaganda and, of course, a traditional high school essay structure.

“Your essay must be five paragraphs long, with an introduction, three body paragraphs containing your strongest arguments, and a conclusion,” the assignment read. “You do not have a choice in your position: you must argue that Jews are evil, and use solid rationale from government propaganda to convince me of your loyalty to the Third Reich!”

Needless to say that once this inappropriate home work assignment was initially report by the Albany Times Union, the “Scheiße” his the fan. Marguerite Vanden Wyngaard, superintendent of Albany’s schools states,“Obviously, we have a severe lack of judgment and a horrible level of insensitivity.” That’s not the assignment that any school district, and certainly not mine, is going to tolerate.” However, even though the Albany Superintendent apologized for the assignment, Marguerite Vanden Wyngaard actually defended it by saying that it should have been worded differently. OH, HOW EXACTLY DO YOU REWORD ANTI-SEMITISM? However, it would have been ok if the students were to convince the liberal teacher that Republicans were evil.

The exercise was intended to challenge students to formulate a persuasive argument and was given to three classes, Albany Superintendent Marguerite Vanden Wyngaard said. She said the assignment should have been worded differently.

“I would apologize to our families,” she said. “I don’t believe there was malice or intent to cause any insensitivities to our families of Jewish faith.”

One-third of the students refused to complete the assignment, she said.

Vanden Wyngaard said the exercise reflects the type of writing expected of students under the new Common Core curriculum, the tough new academic standards that require more sophisticated writing. Such assignments attempt to connect English with history and social studies.

Pay real close attention to this one as you have not heard the last of it. Vanden Wyngaard stated that the exercise reflects the type of writing expected of students under the new Common Core curriculum. Be very, very afraid parents of Common Core curriculum. Educate yourselves as to the truth of what Common Core curriculum is all about.

Ann Althouse asks the more provocative and truly critical thinking question that should have been asked, “What if you had to argue that Wyngaard’s reaction is anti-education and anti-academic freedom and destructive of the very mental powers that, if developed, enable a citizenry to resist government propaganda of the kind the Nazis deployed?” She is 100% correct, real critical thinking and  “persuasive writing” is trying to prove the opposite of what actually happened, not what actually did occur. Of course many of today’s public school educators are too ignorant to understand such things.

UPDATE I: New York school teacher who assigned “convince me your a Nazi and Jews are Evil” homework has been put on leave and could face other disciplinary action after the backlash and mountain of criticism of public disgust. Leave? They should be FIRED!!! One thing that is simply amazing in all of this is the district has not named the teacher, but described them as a veteran. Veteran what?

Silver Alert Issued for 15 Year Old Gabriella Santamaria Missing Since 4/12/13 from Morris, CT

As reported at WTNH,   a Silver Alert has been issued for missing 15 year old Gabriella Santamaria from Morris, CT. She has been missing since Friday night, April 12, 2013. Gabriella Santamaria was last seen on East Street in Morris, wearing red and black pajama pants with a dark brown or black shirt. Gabriella Santamaria is described as being 5’5″ tall, weighing 150 pounds, auburn hair and brown eyes.

DHS & Police Searching for Missing 14 Month OId Mariah Nichols & Parents Damien Lee Nichols and Dusty Ann Willman in Molalla, OR (Update: Child Found Safe)

DHS and the police in Molalla, Oregon are searching for missing 14 month old  Mariah Nichols and her parents, 37 year old Damien Lee Nichols and 39 year old Dusty Ann Willman.  Mariah Nichols  is considered to be endangered as the state of Oregon was awarded custody of the toddler because she was considered to be in need of medical attention following a welfare visit from the Department of Human Services by a Child Protective Services social worker. The parents agreed to turn over physical custody of their daughter at a local urgent care center and meet the social worker there. However, the parents telephoned and stated that they changed their mind. How does the State trust the parents to turn over custody and meet them at a clinic, when they obviously did not trust the parents to care for the child?

Molalla Police continue to search for a missing 14-month-old girl who is consider to be endangered.

The state of Oregon was awarded custody little Mariah Nichols  because she was considered to be in need of medical attention when workers from the Department of Human Services last saw the girl on Wednesday.

During a morning welfare visit at a relative’s apartment in Molalla, a Child Protective Services social worker noticed sores on the girl’s face. Mariah’s parents.

Yet another failing of DHS, they should have been looking out for the welfare of the child and removed little Mariah Nichols from the home and brought the toddler to the clinic for a medical visit themselves. If they thought the parents were neglecting the child, why would they trust them to bring her to the urgent care clinic for medical care?

UPDATE I: Police and the FBI found 14-month-old Mariah Nichols on Saturday. She was found safe at a home in rural Clackamas County outside of Molalla.
