Boston Marathon Bombing Person of Interest’s Apartment Searched on Ocean Avenue in Revere, MA

As reported at CBS News, Massachusetts State Police confirm that a search warrant related to the probe in the Boston Marathon bombing was served Monday night in Revere, Massachusetts. Law enforcement officers investigating the Boston marathon bombings searched the suburban Revere apartment of the Saudi national who is being questioned in connection with the double bombing attack yesterday on Patriot’s Day at the end of the Boston Marathon that has killed three people and injured over 150, many severely. Obviously, there must have been some connection as to why investigators were allowed to gain a search warrant. However, CNN is reporting that according to a federal law official, the search took place with consent, so no search warrant was needed. The fog of news.  Authorities are not saying if they gathered anything of any importance in their search; however, they better not have if they did.

Some investigators were seen leaving the apartment building early Tuesday carrying brown paper bags, plastic trash bags and a duffel bag.

WBZ says the search lasted nine hours. The Revere Fire Department wrote on its Facebook page it pertained to “a person of interest.”

Two men were questioned by federal agents in the lobby overnight and handed over their passports before they were allowed to go upstairs, WBZ reports.

Miller says the man was being treated for burns on his hands, and authorities suggest he may be in the U.S. on a student visa.

UPDATE I: The search warrant was executed at 5th floor of the Ocean Shores Tower apartment complex located at 364 Ocean Ave in Revere, MA.

UPDATE II: As reported at the Daily News, a law student who lives at the Ocean Shores Tower complex,  home to many college students,  said authorities raided a fifth floor apartment beginning around 7:30 p.m.

Florida Police Officer Sgt. Ron King Fired for Bringing Targets Resembling Trayvon Martin to Gun Range … Officer Claims Target Was a ‘No-Shoot training Aid’

The Port Canaveral Police Department has fired  Sgt. Ron King because he allegedly brought targets resembling Trayvon Martin to a gun range and had asked two other officers and a civilian whether they wanted to shoot at the targets. The targets displayed a hooded sweatshirt with a target on the chest, Skittles in the pocket and iced tea in a hand. Sgt. Ron King, who had been with the Port Canaveral police force for two years, owns a company in which he offers firearm training and personal safety coaching and spent nearly 22 years with the Melbourne Police Department.  Port Authority interim CEO Jim Walsh stated, “Whether it was his stupidity or his hatred, (this is) not acceptable.” Hmm, so individuals get fired for stupidity? If that were the case 95% of politicians would be out of a job.

A Florida police officer fired for bringing targets resembling Trayvon Martin to a gun range apologized to the shooting victim’s family “for being used as a pawn in somebody’s political agenda” but said the targets are a valuable training tool.

Police Sgt. Ron King denied claims by Port Canaveral Interim Chief Executive Officer John Walsh that King was leading target practice with two other officers and a civilian earlier this month when he asked the group if they wanted to shoot at the targets.

The Port Canaveral Police Department fired King on Friday following an internal investigation, according to port officials.

Port Canaveral Sgt. Ron King defends himself and proclaims his innocence in the below video claiming that he referred to the targets as a “no shoot training aid”. King refuses to sit by and watch he and the Martin family be used for others political agendas. And there lies the rub. Who knows what was in the mind of  Sgt. Ron King, what he said, or what the complaining parties said, heard or later attested to. One thing is a certainty when it comes to the Trayvon Martin murder case where George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer, is charged with second degree murder in the teens death, it’s highly political and racially charged. Why would anyone even attempt to d something with a Trayvon Martin target whether it was being used for a good or less than honorable thing? Nothing good could come of it as the racial blood is in the water and individuals are just waiting to pounce on it. In today’s PC world and the media bias involved in this case, anyone would be crazy to use any likeness, reference or anything to do with Trayvon, Skittles or Hoodies is job suicide.

Sorry, I find it hard to believe that a police officer of 25 years would publically do something like use a Trayvon Martin poster silhouette to use as a shooting target. Did he have it, yes, King admits he did. However, the lack of judgment and understanding that this would get politically hijacked is on him. Who could not have predicted that this could have come to no good?

“Using real-life situations as a training scenario is not uncommon,” King said.

King apologized to Trayvon’s family and to any law enforcement professionals who may have been embarrassed by the publicity swirling around the incident. He accused an unnamed officer of inventing details of the incident to damage the credibility of the police department’s leadership.

“I remain a professional law enforcement officer and a professional firearms instructor,” said King, who can appeal his dismissal. “I refuse to sit by while others use the Martin family and myself as a way to further their own political and career agendas.”

Trayvon Martin’s family attorney released a statement saying, “It is absolutely reprehensible that a high-ranking member of the Port Canaveral Police, sworn to protect and serve Floridians, would use the image of a dead child as target practice.”

Lefty Chris Matthews Just Can’t Help Himself … Says About Boston Marathon Bombings, ‘Domestic Terrorists …Tend to Be on the Far Right’

The liberal Left just cannot help themselves …

The LEFT and BSNBC’s Chris Matthews wasted little time in assuming that the twin bombings today at the Boston Marathon that so fate has claimed 3 lives and severely injured 100′s must have been a result of domestic terrorism. And those folks tend to be on the far right. Really Chris, could you not wait until you actually had some facts before you spewed your liberal venom of this being a politically motivated. Matthews jumped to the conclusion that the bombing at the JFK library in conjunction with the two bombs that went off at the finish line of the Boston Marathon had to be at the hands of a “domestic” terrorist, who tend to be on the far right. Of course I thought the JFK Library incident was a bit bizarre when I first heard that story come across the wires and thought maybe this might be the fog of journalism. As it turns out the JFK Library incident had nothing to do with the two bombs that exploded in Boston and was caused by a mechanical fire. How sad and pathetic that Matthews would almost wish that this be a case of domestic terrorism, rather than the obvious.

On “Hardball” tonight, the host openly questioned whether at least a portion of the horror was an intentional attack against the Democratic Party. Matthews made his controversial comments when he assumed that a purported explosion at the JFK Library was associated with the bombings.

“I was just thinking, again, it’s early; it’s an early situation, but going after the Kennedy Library, not something at Bunker Hill, not something from the freedom trail or anything that kind of historic, but a modern political figure of the Democratic Party,” he said “Does that tell you anything?”

Normally, domestic terrorists, people tend to be on the far right, well that’s not a good category, just extremists, let’s call them that. Do they advertise after they do something like this? And it will be the responsibility of the FBI and the Boston police to figure out if any of those are actually real cases like Timothy McVeigh destroying the Oklahoma City courthouse federal building; no one took credit for that. So it might be some time or never that someone actually takes credit for this. Lots of people will say they were responsible for it.

CBS News & NY Post Report that Authorities are Questioning a Saudi National in Connection with Boston Marathon Bomb Attack

CBS News is reporting that authorities have in custody a Saudi national and are questioning him in connection with today’s Boston Marathon multiple bombing that has left 3 dead and hundreds injured.  A witness chased down the Saudi national, chased him down, tackled him, and turned him over to the Boston police. Authorities have stated that the person in custody is not charged and not under arrest. However, he is being cooperative, answering their questions, and denying involvement. Well what else would one expect? They are not calling him a suspect or a person of interest. Of course they cannot for other reasons. However, the NY Post is calling the Saudi national a person of interest and claims that a 20 year old suspect is under guard at a Boston hospital.

CBS News:

Following the twin blasts at the Boston Marathon that has claimed two lives and dozens injured, a Saudi national is being held in custody in relation to the incident who was near the scene of the blast, CBS News correspondent John Miller reported.

Law enforcement sources told Miller a witness saw a person acting suspiciously when the explosions happened along the marathon route.

“They see him running away from the device,” said Miller. “Now, a reasonable person would be running away. But this person had noticed him before. This is a civilian — chases him down, tackles him, turns him over to the Boston police. The individual is being looked at [and] was suffering from burn injury. That means this person was pretty close to wherever this blast went off, but not so close as to suffer the serious injuries that other people did.”

Authorities told Miller that the person in custody is not charged and not under arrest. He is being cooperative, answering their questions, and denying involvement. They’ll likely be going over this person’s communications and examine every aspect of his life, as well as talk to the witness who tackled him to find out what the person of interest did that seemed suspicious.
