8th Grader Jared Marcum Arrested & Suspended for Wearing NRA ‘Protect Your Right’ T-Shirt With Image of Gun

How do things like this happen in the United States?

Jared Marcum, an 8th grader at the Logan Middle School in West Virginia has been arrested, suspended and faces charges for wearing an NRA T-shirt with the image of a firearm and the words “Protect Your Right” printed on it to school. HUH? Police confirmed that Marcum had been arrested and faced charges of obstruction and disturbing the education process after getting into an argument with a teacher. HUH? The school is claiming that the shirt that Marcum was wearing, an NRA shirt that had “Protect Your Right” on it with the image of a gun violated the school’s dress code. However, no where in reviewing the school’s dress code policy did the 8th grader appear to violate said policy. No where in the dress code policy did it prohibit gun images.

Unreal. This school and this foolish teacher would attempt to ruin a kids life by having him arrested over a shirt with the image of a gun on it. Liberalism and PC running wild. Who knew that a pro-Second Amendment shirt would result in an 8th graders First Amendment rights being trampled? So where is the ACLU coming to his aid to protect his civil rights?

WOWK 13 Charleston, Huntington WV News, Weather, Sports

WOWK-TV reported Jared Marcum saying he never thought there would be a problem with his pro-Second Amendment apparel.

“I never thought it would go this far because honestly I don’t see a problem with this. There shouldn’t be a problem with this,” Marcum told WOWK-TV.

Police confirmed that Marcum had been arrested and faced charges of obstruction and disturbing the education process after getting into an argument over the shirt with a teacher at Logan Middle School, which is south of Charleston.

How does all this lead to an arrest and an 8th grader being sent to jail? Seriously, how does a dress code issue wind up in a school calling the police and attempting to ruin a kids life? Is this how educators think they are providing our children with an education? Maybe the teachers and school administrators need to do a home work assignment of their own and read the US Constitution.

This family should sue this school district and the teacher who he got into the argument with individually.

UPDATE I: The families lawyer, Ben White, said that the T-shirt did not appear to violate any school policy. White said he also wants to get the criminal charges dropped. It was the school that created this incident by improperly interpreting their own dress code policy and then escalating it with calling the police.

Their lawyer, Ben White, said that the T-shirt did not appear to violate any school policy.

“I just don’t understand why this teacher reacted the way he did,” said White, who said he asked school officials to preserve surveillance video of the cafeteria.

White said he planned to meet Monday with Principal Ernestine Sutherland.

New York Times Shows Sympathy For Boston Terrorists … Where is the NY Times Sympathy for the Families of 8 year old Martin Richard, Krystle Campbell, Lu Lingzi & Slain MIT Officer Sean Collier?

What is wrong with todays liberal media … Do these people understand that they are part of the problem, not the solution in America?

As reported at the Daily Caller, the New York Times shows sympathy for the Boston Marathon bombing terrorists, subtitled, ‘Sympathy for the Devil’.  The NY Times just wanted to make this a sob story of a young man from war torn land that just could not fit in the United States. That’s right, the Boston Marathon bombing suspects were victims according to the liberal media of mean America that would not allow them to fit in. Good grief. As stated at the Jawa Report, Apparently, the bombers had no friends because Americans have no values, and Borat never made a sequel. Sarcasm intended.

How does the NY Times shamefully write a sympathetic story about two individuals who only killed an 8-year-old boy and three other people? Really, how do editors allow something like this actually go to print? I thought liberals were supposed to be compassionate and sympathetic? I guess its only reserved for misunderstood terrorist.

Tragedy usually brings out the best in us, well at least some of us. Following 9-11, the cry became “if you mess with ne of us, you mess with all of us.” People of all backgrounds came together in unity. Following the Boston Marathon bombings, many came together as well. Heck, we had the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox come together in a way that I would never have imagined when the Yankees played ‘Sweet Caroline’ in Yankee Stadium. It was a time like no one had ever experienced in Boston, MA as the bombing left 3 individuals again, 8 year old Martin Richard, Krystle Campbell, Lu Lingzi  and Slain MIT Officer Sean Collier. Over 170 people were injured, many losing arms and legs. So how is it that the NY Times provides sympathy for terrorists who would have done such a horrific thing? What is wrong with these people that they do not think of the others who are really the victims? Obviously, the NY Times realized the errors of their ways as they have altered the post.

Three Individuals Taken in Custody Last Night in New Bedford, Massachusetts in Connection with the Boston Marathon Bombing Suspects

As reported at ABC6-WLNE TV, three people have been arrested last night in New Bedford, MA in connection with the Boston bombing suspects. Two men and one woman were seen being led away in handcuffs. Police say three people have been taken into custody for questioning at a housing complex, Hidden Brook Apartments, where the younger Boston Marathon bombing suspect may have lived. Do authorities think that these people could have been co-conspirators or maybe have accessories after the fact?

Police apprehended suspects from the Hidden Brook Apartments on Carriage Drive in New Bedford. Neighbors say they think that the girlfriend of 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev may have lived in the complex and they have seen him in the area as recently as yesterday.

Dzhokhar is a student at the nearby University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Earlier on Friday his brother, also a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing, was killed in a gun fight with police.

Mass Live is also reporting that New Bedford Police Lt. Robert Richard says a private complex of off-campus housing at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth was searched by federal authorities Friday evening. According to accounts, it was that search that lead authorities to an apartment complex in New Bedford’s West End, where they took two men and one woman into custody for questioning.

Unreal … Two Border Patrol Agents Convicted Friday in Federal Court in Tucson, AZ of Violating the Civil Rights of 4 Mexican Drug Smugglers

ARE YOU KIDDING ME … WHAT HAPPENED TO THE AMERICA I GRE UP IN?

As reported at the Arizona Daily Star, two border agents were convicted on Friday by a jury in Federal court in Tucson, AZ of violating the civil rights of four drug smugglers. Yes, you heard that correct. Let me repeat this, two border agents were convicted of violating the civil rights of four Mexican drug smugglers. WTF is going on in this country!!! Seriously, the US government fails to protect the borders from illegal immigrants and drug smugglers from entering into our country, but we prosecute the very agents who do? We are not allowed to call these people illegals, but we allow Mexican drug smugglers to have civil rights. Not only are they in the United States illegally, they are in it with illegal drugs with the intention of selling such illegal substances. But they got civil rights. Unreal.

25 year old Dario Castillo and 31 year old Ramon Zuniga were convicted on four counts of “civil-rights deprivation under color of law”.  Here is a rather interesting part od the case and prosecution, even though there were more agents at the scene, only Zuniga and Castillo committed the civil-rights violations. Hmm? Does anyone else just find this all a bit whacked, seeing that we have a federal policy of not going after illegals and a push to not even call them illegals? So what would these folks have been considered … undocumented, not legal substance carrying, lost in the desert individuals?

After deliberating most of the morning, about 3 p.m. the jury convicted Dario Castillo, 25, and Ramon Zuniga, 31, of four counts of civil-rights deprivation under color of law. Rather than arrest four Mexican smugglers intercepted the night of Nov. 12, 2008, the agents made them strip off their socks, shoes and jackets, forced some of them to eat marijuana and ordered them to flee into the desert.

The convictions are misdemeanors for Zuniga, but felonies for Castillo because the jury found he set fire to the smugglers’ belongings.

The agents were found not guilty of a conspiracy charge.

Castillo was also found not guilty of tampering with a witness, the most serious charge.

A felony conviction for deprivation of rights under color of law carries a maximum penalty of 10 years and/or a $250,000 fine; a misdemeanor conviction under the statute carries a penalty of one year and/or a $100,000 fine.

U.S. Attorney for Arizona John Leonardo said in a written statement,”This verdict sends a clear message that abuse of authority by federal law enforcement officers will not be tolerated in our society.” Really, I take it in another way. No one believes in civil rights for Americans more than I; however, I in no way believe they should be afforded to people in my country illegally and committing crimes. Who finds this a bit offensive when we have a U.S. government, Republican, Democrat & Independent alike, who every day try to strip away out US Constitutional and Civil rights, yet Mexican drug smugglers are protected? Our government is trying to strip away our Second Amendment right to bare arms, yet these people have a right to be in our country illegally with illegal drugs and have civil rights. What has happened to the America I grew up in?

Mother Now Says Purse Found Not That of Missing Nursing Student Holly Bobo

It was reported earlier this week that there could be a break in the case of missing Holly Bobo in Parsons, TN. A neighborhood dog had found a purse Wednesday in the hills of western Tennessee that was believed to be that of the missing nursing student Holly Bobo. This prompted a spark in the case to search for new clues. Could this possibly be the break that investigators needed to help find Holly Bobo? However, now the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is stating that the mother of Holly Bobo is saying the purse does not belong to her missing daughter.

Tennessee investigators and the mother of a nursing student missing for two years say a purse found this week is not that of Holly Bobo.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Kristin Helm said Friday that Bobo’s mother had seen just a photo of the purse two days ago and thought it was her daughter’s. But after seeing it in person Friday, Karen Bobo said it wasn’t.

Holly Bobo has been missing since the Wednesday morning, April 13, 2011 from her home on Swan Johnson Road in Darden, TN when she was kidnapped and dragged off from the carport of her home in Decatur County, TN.
