Happy Easter 2013 from Scared Monkeys … HE IS RISEN, TRULY, HE IS RISEN!
Scared Monkeys Wishes Everyone a very Happy and Blessed Easter.
Never forget that Easter represents the greatest story of “Hope & Change” ever in history. True hope is divine and comes from above, not from man. As stated in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Without the Crucifixion, there would have never been a Resurrection. And a Resurrection that represents eternal rebirth, hope and change.
Luke 24:1-6
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!
JESUS CHRIST Is Risen Today – Alleluia! – EASTER HYMN
Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia! Earth and heaven in chorus say, Alleluia! Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia! Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!
Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia! Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia! Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia! Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!
Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia! Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia! Once he died our souls to save, Alleluia! Where’s thy victory, boasting grave? Alleluia!
Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia! Following our exalted Head, Alleluia! Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia! Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!
Hail the Lord of earth and heaven, Alleluia! Praise to thee by both be given, Alleluia! Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia! Hail the Resurrection, thou, Alleluia!
King of glory, soul of bliss, Alleluia! Everlasting life is this, Alleluia! Thee to know, thy power to prove, Alleluia! Thus to sing, and thus to love, Alleluia!
Above All – Michael W. Smith
Crucified, laid behind a stone
You lived to die rejected and alone
Like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall and thought of me
Above all
Michael W. Smith sings in his song, ‘Here I am to Worship’ … “I will never know just how much it cost, to see my sin upon that cross”.
Pope Francis used his first Easter Sunday address to call for peace in the world and to change hatred into love, delivered in Italian from the central balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica.
Dear brothers and sisters in Rome and throughout the world, Happy Easter! Happy Easter!
What a joy it is for me to announce this message: Christ is risen! I would like it to go out to every house and every family, especially where the suffering is greatest, in hospitals, in prisons.
Most of all, I would like it to enter every heart, for it is there that God wants to sow this Good News: Jesus is risen, there is hope for you, you are no longer in the power of sin, of evil! Love has triumphed, mercy has been victorious! The mercy of God always triumphs!
We too, like the women who were Jesus’ disciples, who went to the tomb and found it empty, may wonder what this event means (cf. Lk 24:4). What does it mean that Jesus is risen? It means that the love of God is stronger than evil and death itself; it means that the love of God can transform our lives and let those desert places in our hearts bloom. The love God can do this! Thank you SM for posting a beautiful piece about the true hope of all of mankind.
Jesus did not have to leave our planet in such a manner. He could have simply disappeared. Knowing the needs of man, he left a beautiful story of inspiration for all of history.
[...] over a billion Christians celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior … GOOGLE in their infinite wisdom [...]
SM, a very special Thank You. That was truly inspirational. I played the music numerous times throughout the day.
