The Heck with the Fiscal Cliff … Welcome to the Mayan Apocalypse: Fears of the End of the Earth Spreads as December 21 Nears

Fear and panic spread ahead of the Mayan Apocalypse predicted to be on December 21. Maybe this is why President Obama, Democrats and Republicans in DC are not too concerned about the Fiscal Cliff, they must be banking that the Mayan Apocalypse will take place making the over-taxing and out of control deficit spending that has created a +$16 trillion debt moot. Maybe this can explain how Obama was reelected in 2012, people expected the Mayan Apocalypse prophecy to come true.

Fears that the end of the world is nigh have spread across the world with only days until the end of the Mayan calendar, with doomsday-mongers predicting a cataclysmic end to the history of Earth.

Ahead of December 21, which marks the conclusion of the 5,125-year “Long Count” Mayan calendar, panic buying of candles and essentials has been reported in China and Russia, along with an explosion in sales of survival shelters in America. In France believers were preparing to converge on a mountain where they believe aliens will rescue them.

The precise manner of Armageddon remains vague, ranging from a catastrophic celestial collision between Earth and the mythical planet Nibiru, also known as Planet X, a disastrous crash with a comet, or the annihilation of civilization by a giant solar storm.

However, one persons cataclysmic and catastrophic end of the Earth is another individuals interpretation that on December 21, 2012 will mark the beginning of a new era where individuals will undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation. No matter how you look at it America, we are doomed. Either the end of the Earth is at hand, or we have another four years to suffer through with Barack Obama as president and his cataclysmic and catastrophic efforts to destroy the US economy and all that America was built upon.
