Benghazigate: GOP Senators Ayotte, McCain and Graham More Troubled After Their Meeting Ambassador Rice Than Before
Ayotte, McCain and Graham remain more disturbed and troubled …
US Senators Kelly Ayotte (NH-R), John McCain (AZ-R) and Lindsey Graham (SC-R) met with UN Ambassador Susan Rice on Capitol Hill to discuss her misleading statements that she to the American public as she went on five Sunday morning talk shows following the Banghazi, Libya attacks and blamed them on a video tape rather than terrorism. However, instead of getting answers to the many questions as to why Rice would have mislead the public days after the attack when it was known that the attacks were a result of terrorism, Senators Ayotte, McCain and Graham were more troubled and disturbed by the answers they received than they were prior to the meeting (VIDEO). Sen Graham stated, ”The bottom line is that I’m more disturbed than I was before … about how four Americans died in Benghazi, Libya.” Senator John McCain said on Fox that he would be “very hard-pressed” to support Ms. Rice for Sec. of State.
After meeting with U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice on Tuesday, three GOP lawmakers said their concerns have only grown about misleading statements Rice made concerning the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead.
Rice’s meeting with Sens. John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Kelly Ayotte on Capitol Hill came as the White House signaled it may nominate Rice to replace Hillary Rodham Clinton as secretary of State.

“I’m more troubled today… It’s certainly clear from the beginning that we knew that those with ties to Al-Qaeda were involved in the attack on the embassy. And, clearly the impression that was given, the information given to the American people was wrong and in fact Ambassador Rice said today that Absolutely it was wrong… They have not cleared this up with the American people to date.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham voices his disapproval after meeting with Ambassador Rice
I’m more disturbed now than I was before that the 16 September explanation of how four Americans died in Benghazi, Libya by Ambassador Rice. If anybody had been looking at the threats coming out of Benghazi, Libya, it [would] jump out at you this was [an] Al-Qaeda storm in the making. I’m very disappointed in our intelligence community, they failed in many ways, but with a little bit of inquiry and curiosity I think it would be pretty clear that to explain this episode as related to a video that created a mob that turned into a riot was far afield.”
As reported at the Politico, UN Ambassador Rice stressed in a Tuesday statement that she did not intend to mislead the public about the September 11th attacks on the Benghazi consulate. BULL!!! Sorry, but with the information that was at hand and the fact that were know, one can draw no conclusion but her intention was to misinform the American public. The interviews that Rice went on happened days after the attack, she would have known and it is unconscionable that she would not have reviewed the classified information herself rather than just parroting the Obama company talking points.
So this is how the Obama administration is going to deal with a lie about the Benghazi cover up … with another lie?
America, do you care that four Americans were murdered by terrorists, a presidency has attempted to cover up what occurred and no one has been held accountable?

Sens. McCain, Graham and Ayotte are coming close to exhibiting a bizarre fixation on Susan Rice that is beyond explanation.
Instead of focusing on possible intelligence lapses themselves surrounding the Benghazi tragedy, or questioning security lapses in protecting our diplomatic facilities, they are obsessed with some statements made on TV by someone who had responsibility for neither.
It’s becoming a spectacle that is making these senators look like wacko conspiracy theorists, whether they realize it or not. And in McCain’s case, it’s particularly ironic, since he supported the nomination of Condoleezza Rice for secretary of state despite the bad intelligence information she brought to Congress about Iraq possessing WMD. McCain, to my regret, is just becoming what appears to be a bitter, angry old man, trying to relitigate his 2008 loss to Obama at every turn.
It’s sad to see a genuine American war hero sink to such depths

SM: What else would one expect a Democrat hack to say?
Susan Rice had a security clearance to find out the truth and instead she did a quid pro quo deal to spew Obama’s talking points to get the Sec. of State position. Rice acted in a political manner and for this she should not even be considered.
Susan Rice showed she was a rank amateur and willing to say anything for the company line. Might I remind everyone that four Americans have died and no one, no one has been held accountable in the Obama Administration. Instead they just stonewall.
Maine’s Sen. Collins was barking up the wrong tree too. tried to slime Rice over the african embassy bombings, didn’t stick

SM: Oh it stuck. The idiot and not ready for prime time unless she has her talking points Amb. Rice could not even answer Sen. Collins’ questions regarding the African Embassy bombings. Those embassies that also asked for more protection. How does one not prepare for a meeting? Rice had to take a pass and get her talking points from Obama. It is pretty bad when Rice cannot answer a RINO like Collins’ questions. Let’s get one fact straight here, Collins from ME is probably now the most liberal GOP Senator and if Obama cannot count on her vote for Senate conformation for Rice as Sec of State, Rice is politically dead in the water.
Rice is toast. She failed her job interview with four of the more moderate GOP Senators.
How pathetic is it when Rice was the one who requested the meetings and all of the GOP Senators, Ayotte, McCain, Graham and Collins came away from the meetings more troubled than before. These 4 GOP Senators are hardly from the fire breathing right.
