Senator Rubio (FL-R) Introduces Romney at Huge Rally in Pensacola, FL … Obama’s Ideas are “The Ideas Of Countries People Come Here To Get Away From”
File this one under, if the shoe fits Barack, wear it. Even Mitt Romney has taken up on our Obama’s ‘Lost in Smallness’ moniker.
Enormously popular US Senator Marco Rubio (FL-R) introduced Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney in Pensacola, FL today in front of a huge and enthusiastic crowd. During the introduction Rubio stated, Obama’s ideas are “the ideas of countries people come here [America] to get away from”. When Mitt Romney spoke to the throngs of adoring folks, he reminded them that Obama has become the incredible shrinking president with even smaller ideas.
Of course the liberal, in the tank for Obama media was quick to pounce and ask, what Rubio meant by that. I guess the MSM was going to call Rubio racist for his comments. No folks, individuals come to America because it represents the land of opportunity … not Obama’s vision of Socialism. Rubio reminded the propaganda wing of the Obama Administration by saying, this is hardly the first time I have made this comment.
On Mitt Romney’s campaign plane shortly after the rally, Rubio was asked what he meant by the comments.
“I’m talking about big government. I’m talking about countries where the government dominates the economy,” Rubio, whose parents left Cuba, replied, noting that “virtually every country in Latin America” was governed by the policies he was condemning.
Mitt Romney appears to be pulling away in Florida and the state won by Obama in 2008 is now going to go “red” in 2012.

Hungarian-born billionaire makes anti-socialism case in TV ad
Published October 12, 2012
Peterffy recalls his childhood under socialism in Hungary, and says, “The nation became poorer and poorer. And that’s what I see happening here.” He warns that the United States, his adopted country, is embarking on a “slippery slope.”
He continues: “America’s wealth comes from the efforts of people striving for success. Take away their incentive with badmouthing success and you take away the wealth that helps us take care of the needy. Yes, in socialism the rich will be poorer — but the poor will also be poorer. People will lose interest in really working hard and creating jobs.”

katts you are so right. You didn’t list the Germans that managed to escape Hitler in the 1930′s or the East Germans who used every scheme they could invent to escape the Communist regeme in East Germany.
The average American does not have access to people who have experienced a communist or socialist goverment. Our schools no longer teach the history of the country or of the world in a truthful way. Instead, our children have been given a contrived history that glorifies the socialist idea of utopia via government control.
I hope that Rubio and Romney will continue to express this failed idea to the American people.
#5-ATG says-Our schools no longer teach the history of the country or of the world in a truthful way.
Bingo! I have seen it with my own eyes. A good friend of mine since College is a Teacher in a Public School system here in Mass. First hand knowledge of what those in charge (The System Education Administrators) at the TOP have brought my good friend home in a rage. She is a History Teacher. She has been “spoken to” when she has dared to challenge or ask too many questions.
She will be soon leaving the field of teaching to use her degree elsewhere as she believes it to be a losing battle. What you say is exactly the truth. She lives it during the School year and is fed up.
You make such a valid point, and it is actually tragic that much of the upcoming “future” generation is denied the truth, or given the escewed version of it at best. Not so much in Early American History- that is still taught pretty much the same- but in CURRENT Government and Politics. It’s slanted, and its BULLSHIT.
