Charles Krauthammer Responds to Barack Obama’s Speech: “He Gave One of the Emptiest Speeches I’ve Ever Heard on a National Stage” … All Style, No Substance

Hope and Change has been reduced to a desperate beg for four more years with no plan for the future.

Last night President Barack Obama have his speech to the DNC convention in Charlotte, NC accepting the Democrat nomination and begging America for four more years. After hearing speeches from Michelle Obama, former President Bill Clinton and even surprisingly VP Joe Biden, it was time for Barack Obama, the Obamamessiah. Needless to say, after listening to the same old speech of all style and no substance, it fell incredibly flat.

Charles Krauthammer provided his analysis on Fox News and stated, “He Gave One of the Emptiest Speeches I’ve Ever Heard on a National Stage”. Krauthammer is correct, for the moment in time and the stage set before Barack Obama, his speech was incredibly disappointing. All I can say is wow, this President could not have been more dull, empty and stale. Last nights speech was like a poor man’s version of Obama’s 2008 speech, except add in 4 failed years.

“I was stunned. This is a man who gave one of the great speeches of our time in 2004. And he gave one of the emptiest speeches I’ve ever heard on a national stage… There was nothing in it… At least Romney had a 5 point plan… He pulls numbers out of a hat… He doesn’t say how he’s going to get from A to B. It’s a vision. I have a vision of America where there’s no disease and everybody owns a private airplane. But, unless I tell you how we get there I’ve said nothing.”

I can only come to one conclusion as to why Obama mentioned nothing in his speech. Either this mornings jobs numbers are really, really bad, or they are somewhat encouraging and Obama is going to play a prevent defense into the election. It is reported that when Obama made his speech last night, he was aware of what the August job numbers were. Or as the American Spectator called it, a Hope-a-Dope. In the end, no wonder Barack Obama moved his speech inside to the smaller arena from the 70,000 seat Bank of America stadium maybe not so much because of the “stormy weather” and “too big to fill”, it might just have been because Obama’s speech was too small for the large venue.

Although Vice President Joe Biden gave a surprisingly good speech, many said much better than that of even President Barack Obama, Biden did manage to go gaffetastic again. Poor Joe could not remember the day that first lady Michelle Obama gave her speech. Good grief, hide the football. Hey Joe, it was Tuesday.

Barack Obama Asks for Four More Years on the One Year Anniversary of the Bankruptcy of Solyndra … Oops

President Barack Obama is set to give his beg speech for four more years as President at the DNC convention on the one year anniversary of the Solyndra bankruptcy. On September 6, 2011, Solyndra filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the District of Delaware. Irony has a weird way of rearing its head, doesn’t it?

Solyndra was touted by President Barack Obama as a shining example of “green” jobs and the future of the American economy. During a visit to the California based solar power energy company, Obama had nothing but growing praise for his Obama example of the economy and jobs. Needless to say, Obama’s “green” job masterpiece has filed for bankruptcy.

RUT-ROH … According to Reuters/Ipsos Poll: No Sign of Convention Bounce for Barack Obama:

NO BOUNCE FOR OBAMA …

So far there has been no bounce for Barack Obama, according to a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll. Although this poll was taken prior to Clinton’s speech. However, is it possible that there may not be a bounce from Clinton’s speech as Honey, Boo Boo tied Slick Willy in the ratings.

(Reuters) – So far, U.S. President Barack Obama has not received much of a bounce yet in popular support from the Democratic National Convention, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found on Thursday.

The latest daily tracking poll found Republican Mitt Romney still clinging to a narrow lead of 45 percent to Obama’s 44 percent among likely voters. Romney had led by 46 percent to 44 percent in Wednesday’s poll.

“We’re not seeing a sort of glimmer, at this point, of a bump,” said Ipsos pollster Julia Clark.

UPDATE I: Don’t expect any bounce after the August 2012 jobs numbers, if anything Obama may get a reverse bounce.
