Mitt Romney stands up to the Obama, Chicago-style thug politics …
Yesterday Mitt Romney channeled his inner Popeye when reacting to the sleazy, smarmy and gutter politics that Obama-Biden campaign and stated, “That’s all I can stands, and I can’t stands no more”. Actually Romney’s exact quote was “Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago.” It would appear that the selection of Paul Ryan as VP gas invigorated the campaign and Romney. As the Lonely Conservative said, many in the GOP thought that Romney would not fight back against Obama and his smear campaign. Boy were they wrong. There is nothing like politically punching the bully in the nose. I can guarantee that Team Obama never believed that Romney would fight back, they expected Romney to bring a knife to a political gun fight.
Not only did Mitt Romney roll up his sleeves and stand up to the bully politics of Barack Obama, as The Other McCain opined, the THE CHILLICOTHE ADDRESS was Romney’s Best Speech of the Campaign. Check out the speech, now that’s what a President sounds like.
Mitt Romney used a tough new campaign speech to personally blast the Obama campaign on Tuesday, saying comments earlier in the day from Vice President Biden are “what an angry and desperate Presidency looks like.”
“Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago,” Romney said while campaigning in Ohio.
Romney was responding to Biden’s suggestion that the GOP ticket’s economic policies would “put y’all back in chains.”
As reported at Weasel Zippers, Obama responded in kind that Romney was unhinged. Um Mr. President, if you want unhinged, you need to look no further than down the hall at your VP Joe Biden.
