Add Senator Claire McCaskill (MO-D) to List of Democrats Not Attending the Democrat National Convention
Hey Democrat politicians, how’s that Obama “hopey-changey” stuff working out for ya these days?
They are calling it a DEMPLOSION, we just call it running with scissors as fast as one can away from Obama …
If you are a Democrat politician in a tough battle in a “swing state” where President Barack Obama is not all that popular, chances are you will not be attending the Democrat National Convention in Charlotte, NC. Add Democrat Senator from Missouri Claire McCaskill to the list.
The list of run as far away from Barack Obama has grown to nine. Most likely this number will grow the closer we get to the convention and following the SCOTUS decision on Obamacare if they declare it unconstitutional. As stated at Michelle Malkin, it would appear that the sock drawer re-arranging is taking priority this year for many vulnerable Democrats. Yes it does. It took eight years for many to turn on GWB, Obama has accomplished the same results in less than four.
McCaskill joins a growing list of Democrats who won’t be in Charlotte, including Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., West Virginia Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin, and Rep. Nick Rahall, D-W.Va., Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., Mark Critz, D-Pa., Kathy Hochul, D-N.Y., Bill Owens, D-N.Y., and Jim Matheson, D-Utah.
Oops, we spoke to soon. I could not even finish the post and another Democrat has decided to run from Obama and the Democrat National Convention. Add Montana’s Democrat Jon Tester to the list as well. As Weasel Zipper opines, “Charlotte now more radioactive than Chernobyl”. Yes it is, politically speaking of course.
Not only are Democrats avoiding the convention, Obama and his reelection minions are ruing the day that they chose North Carolna to have their convention. Through some ‘pie in the sky’ thought process they thought that it would win over voters to take the Tar Heel state, a state that Obama narrowly won in 2008. However, NC has been a fiasco for Obama and pretty much has been taken from the “battleground” category to leans Romney. Presently Romney leads Obama 47% to 44% in the latest Rasmussen poll. Although I tend the think that the race will not be that close.
EXIT QUESTION: Just how many US Reps and Senators will campaign with Obama in 2012?

Holder in peril as Dems break ranks on contempt resolution
Published June 27, 2012
The congressional contempt vote against Attorney General Eric Holder is looking more and more like a fait accompli, as House Speaker John Boehner presses ahead with a Thursday floor vote and conservative Democrats one-by-one announce they will side with Republicans.
At least four Democrats so far have said they plan to vote to hold Holder in contempt over his refusal to turn over Operation Fast and Furious documents. Sources told Fox News that roughly 20 are likely to break ranks.
Those Democrats are largely conservative-leaning lawmakers facing perilous political circumstances in their home districts. But regardless of motive, their support only increases the odds that the nation’s top law enforcement official will be held in contempt of Congress come Thursday.
