Search Continues for Missing Hollywood Exec Gavin Smith … Detectives & SWAT Search Home in the San Fernando Valley
57 year old 20th Century Fox executive Gavin Smith has been missing since May 1, 2012 in Los Angeles, CA county. Gavin Smith was last seen between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday leaving a friend’s house in Oak Park, CA. The search for Gavin Smith took detectives to a home in the San Fernando Valley belonging to a family of four on a quiet cul-de-sac. According to reports, they didn’t seem to leave with anything.
The search for missing Hollywood executive Gavin Smith took a twist today as detectives searched the home of a family in the San Fernando Valley in connection to his disappearance.
Smith, a 57-year-old father and husband who worked in film distribution in Hollywood, went missing on May 2 from the house of a female friend around 10 p.m.
Today’s search of a house in the San Fernando Valley began around 7:30 a.m. as authorities served a search warrant on the home.
According to the LA Times, the family was ordered out of the house by SWAT as detectives
The neighbor, who identified herself only as “Merma” when contacted by The Times, lives in the 8600 block of Santa Susana Place, a cul-de-sac where at least two SWAT cars arrived Friday morning.
She said L.A. County sheriff’s deputies arrived on her block around 7:50 a.m. and “called out on the loudspeaker for the owners to come out.”
She said a family — including a husband, wife and two girls — lives in the home and “the wife and her two daughters” eventually emerged from the home when deputies served a search warrant. She said the search ended around 9 a.m.
“They didn’t seem to leave with anything,” the neighbor said of the deputies.
