Tebowmania Silenced by Patriots and Tom “Terrific” Brady’s Record Setting Six TD Performance, 45-10 … However, It Does Not Stop Tebowmania
The final score was 45-10, honestly it could have been worse, much worse … However, Tebowmania is much bigger than football.
Tim Tebow, Tebowmania and the Denver Broncos came to a crashing halt last night in Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. Everyone talked about Tim Tebow and his miracle working all week after the phenomenal game that he had against the Steelers where he threw for 316. The media forgot about one thing in their exuberance of Tebow and Tebowmania … Can you say Tom Brady?
Patriots QB Tom Brady, the two time Super Bowl MVP, winner of three Super Bowls carved up the Denver Broncos defense for a post season record tying six touch down passes, a record five in the first half, on their way to a convincing 45-10 victory. A note to the MSM, Brady ain’t bad, is he? The Patriots overwhelmed the Broncos from the opening kickoff of the game. Denver never had a chance and there would be no MSM over publicized divine intervention that would save Denver. From the outset Denver was over-matched and for some reason after winning the coin flip, the Broncos deferred to the second half and kicked the ball off to Tom Brady and the prolific PAT’s offense. Huh? It took a little less than two minutes for Brady and the Patriots to march down the field and score. Then the Patriots scored again, again and again.
Watching last nights AFC Division playoff game reminded me of New England Patriot games of their past Super Bowl winning years. Tom Brady and the offense was one thing, but wake up the echos of their defense. The PAT’s defense chased Tebow around all night sacking him 5 times as well as tackling for losses all night long in the running game. The PAT’s defense pounded Tebow all night long. A note to owner Bob Craft, coach Bill Belecheck and the New England execs … look how good the Patriots looked with a defense.
However, for the Tebow “nay” sayers who think Tebowmania is over, think again. Just like how Tom Brady transcends the NFL into pop culture, in his own way so does Tim Tebow. I am a life long patriots fan; however, I am also a Tebow fan. We have been waiting for an athlete to be proud of. Just because Tim Tebow met his Waterloo last night does not mean the end of Tim Tebow or Tebowmnaia. What Tim Tebow has brought to the NFL and to all of us is much bigger than just football. Tebow attracts fans to the NFL who could care less about the sport, the teams or the score. Tebow represents all that is good with athletes and for those who try to do the right thing. Tebow does not hide his religion or his love of God, why should he. Isn’t it a breathe of fresh air to see some one succeed when all others said he could not? Isn’t it refreshing to see an NFL player known more for praising God than killing dogs? Tebow is a role model and although he is not perfect, he does not claim to be. Only his Savior Jesus Christ is, who he honors. All that Tim Tebow does and is can only be a good thing for the NFL, its fans and for our culture in general.Want to know what Tebow gave rise to during a football game, check out the John 3:16 ad that played during last nights playoff game. The nay sayers and atheists will claim seperation of Church and Sports. However, we all know better.
Tim Tebow is a class act. What he does for others not so fortunate is commendable. How Tebow conducts himself should be applauded. Who knows what the future has in store for Tim Tebow in the NFL or for the Denver Broncos. One thing is for certain, there are few people who have life, including sports, in their proper perspective like Tebow. KUDOS!
Pakistan Taliban Leader Hakimullah Mehsud Reportedly Killed in US Drone Strike … Taliban Denies
So was he or wasn’t he?
It is being reported that Pakistan Taliban Leader Hakimullah Mehsud was killed on January 12, 2012 in the North Waziristan tribal area by a US drone strike. Militant radio communications were intercepted indicating that the Taliban leader was recently killed. However, Pakistani Taliban spokesman Asimullah Mehsud denied the Taliban leader was killed.
Intercepted militant radio communications indicate the leader of the Pakistani Taliban may have been killed in a recent U.S. drone strike, Pakistani intelligence officials said Sunday. A Taliban official denied that.
The report coincided with sectarian violence — a bomb blast in eastern Pakistan that killed 14 people in a Shiite religious procession.
The claim that the Pakistani Taliban chief was killed came from officials who said they intercepted a number of Taliban radio conversations. In about a half a dozen intercepts, the militants discussed whether their chief, Hakimullah Mehsud, was killed on Jan. 12 in the North Waziristan tribal area. Some militants confirmed Mehsud was dead, and one criticized others for talking about the issue over the radio.
I wonder if this Taliban leader was one of Joe Biden’s Taliban that was not our enemy, per se?
Internet Censorship: SOPA Shelved Until ‘consensus’ is Found … PIPA still Has Vote on January 24th
It’s a start, but none of us should get a warm fuzzy until a stake is put through the heart of SOPA and PIPA.
The Internet can claim a victory, but do not get out the champagne and party favors just yet. As reported at The Hill, House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) said early Saturday that Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) promised him the House will not vote on the controversial Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) unless there is consensus on the bill.
“While I remain concerned about Senate action on the Protect IP Act, I am confident that flawed legislation will not be taken up by this House,” Issa said in a statement. “Majority Leader Cantor has assured me that we will continue to work to address outstanding concerns and work to build consensus prior to any anti-piracy legislation coming before the House for a vote.”
The announcement comes just hours after Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas), SOPA’s sponsor, made a major concession to the bill’s critics by agreeing to drop a controversial provision that would have required Internet service providers to block infringing websites.
However, Issa said that even without the site-blocking provision, the bill is “fundamentally flawed.”
All should watch the following VIDEO from the Cynical Brit … makes a lot of sense and should scare the Hell out of you!
Six Republican Senators have come forward to ask Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to postpone the vote on PIPA; however, Independent socialist Senator has responded that the vote should go ahead as planned.
Late today came word that six Republican senators have asked Majority Leader Harry Reid to postpone a vote on Pro IP, also known as PIPA. The senators wrote: “Prior to committee action, some members expressed substantive concerns about the bill, and there was a commitment to resolve them prior to floor consideration.”
For those of you who do not know what SOPA and PIPA is, please familiarize yourself. It impacts all that use the Internet from bloggers to Facebook, from Google to YouTube. These two bills are supposed to prevent on-line piracy; however, like ever poorly written bill, its the law of unintended circumstances that all that currently use the Internet can already see. Do we really want Congress to pass another bill into law where it has to be passed so that we can see whats in it? Bad legislation is bad legislation. It should cause pause for all, no matter if they are on the LEFT, RIGHT or CENTER, when a government looks to restrict Freedom of Speech under the guise of a piracy bill. This is one issue where we can all come together and “JUST SAY NO” to SOPA and PIPA!
Did Congress actually think they were going to slip such a bill that would affect so many under the cloak of darkness? Shame on all of you who backed, supported and sponsored this bill. Many of which who are in complete retreat due to the backlash of “We the People”.
Reddit and maybe Wikipedia was supposed to go “dark” for 12 hours on January 18 to protest SOPA. Maybe they will still do so to protest PIPA. Imagine if YouTube, Facebook and Google went dark to protest as well? Maybe that is what it will take for law makers to realize that writing BS bills will not be tolerated.

Missing Montana Schoolteacher Sherry Arnold Considered Dead … Two Men Being Questioned (Update: Two Charged with Aggravated Kidnapping in connection with Death)
Sherry Arnold, the Montana school teacher who has been missing since Saturday morning, January 7, 2012, at about 6:30 AM when she went for a jog has been found dead. According to a statement by the FBI, law enforcement officers have taken “one adult male into custody, and another adult male is being questioned” in relation to Arnold’s case in Rapid City, South Dakota. An anonymous tip lead them to a 47 year old man who is presently in custody. The second individual, a 22 year old man is being detained as well. Neither man has yet been charged.
As reported by ABC News, the mayor of Sidney, Montana where Sherry Arnold vanished and has been declared dead appears to blame an influx of oil workers for the crime.
The FBI have taken 47-year-old man into custody and are questioning a 22-year-old man 330 miles away in Rapid City, S.D. But neither has been identified or charged in Arnold’s disappearance and death.
Investigators are trying to determine whether Arnold, the mother of six, was abducted and killed.
The town of about 5,000 people has seen an increase in violence due to an influx of oil field workers in recent months because of the Bakken oil boom in North Dakota.
UPDATE I: Hundreds of people gathered at Sidney High School for memorial for Sherry Arnold.
UPDATE II: Two men have been charged with aggravated kidnapping in the connection with the death of Sherry Arnold. The names of the suspects have yet to be released, more from the Billings Gazette.
On Saturday, police told the Billings Gazette that they had charged two men with aggravated kidnapping in connection with her death. The suspects are being held in Williston, North Dakota, which is about an hour away from Sidney. The men, who have not been identified, expected to be extradited back to Montana at some point, but it’s unclear when.
UPDATE III: FBI asks Montana and North Dakota landowners for help in search for missing teacher Sherry Arnold.
The FBI is asking Montana and North Dakota residents to check their properties for a shallow grave that could hold the remains of a missing math teacher.
Land owners in northeastern Montana and three North Dakota counties were urged to look for disturbed soil or matted grass — telltale signs of a freshly dug grave, according to an FBI statement.
