Eight is Enough … Mitt Romney Defeats Rick Santorum in GOP Iowa Caucus by 8 Votes … GAME ON!!!

Eight was not only enough, it was just enough last night for Mitt Romney.

The 2012 GOP Iowa Caucus went down to the very end … the final result, Mitt Romney defeats Rick Santorum by just a mere 8 votes. It was nip and tuck throughout the evening between Romney and the anti-Romney candidate, Rick Santorum.However, the story of the night was not Romney’s victory, it was Santorum’s surge from no where to coming in send by just 8 votes. Incredible.

WIN: Romney
PLACE: Santorum
SHOW: Paul

Mitt Romney’s quest to swiftly lock down the Republican presidential nomination with a commanding finish in the Iowa caucuses was undercut on Tuesday night by the surging candidacy of Rick Santorum, who fought him to a draw on a shoestring budget by winning over conservatives who remain skeptical of Mr. Romney.

In the first Republican contest of the season, the two candidates were separated much of the night by only a sliver of votes, with Mr. Romney being declared the winner by eight ballots early Wednesday morning. But the outcome offered Mr. Santorum a chance to emerge as the alternative to Mr. Romney as the race moves to New Hampshire and South Carolina …

As Rick Santorm stated last night … GAME ON!!! Next stop, New Hampshire.

      paper ballots, counted at a secret location, missing votes, no recounts … voter fraud?
      Well Mitt only paid $350 for each of the 30,015 votes he got and 75% of Iowa voters voted against him … Ms. Pfeffer said “I want to say that we had a fine group of caucus leaders in Iowa tonight, and everybody came forward and we had a group of ninety excellent leaders making sure that we got this done right,” Done right, WTF?
      I’m sure Edith and Carolyn will be rewarded with a trip to Tampa for their efforts!
      From CNN:
      “And they came from a precinct in Clinton County early this morning, awarded after Clinton’s Ward 2 Precinct 2’s votes were added into the mix after a confusing chain of events.
      Clinton County Republican Chairwoman Edith Pfeffer and Republican Women’s president Carolyn Tallett were contacted late last night by CNN’s political coverage team, which was missing counts from Ward two, Precinct two. This led to a post-midnight conversation with Wolf Blitzer and John King of CNN, wherein Tallett and Pfeffer were able to confirm to the nation Romney’s victory”

      Well the guys who spent a lot of years in Iowa campaigning came in first by a squeek and third.

      I’m not at all satisfied with the method of choosing candidates in Iowa. There is nothing to lock in a delegate count in the process.

      The next three states will really decide who is the leader.

      I know very, little about Santorum. Cain IMO was best choice, but now that’s of no matter. Newt has best experience and is VERY pro-Israel which I like….but baggage as well. Perry I thought was never best choice. Same with Bachman who believes she’s a whole, lot tougher than she is.

      Guess it’s between Romney and Santorum unless Newt somehow pulls himself back up in the polls.

      SM has reminded me ANY of them are better than Zero. That is so true.

      Oh yea, that less than 25% of the vote he got means he’s the first pick of a whooping 12% of Iowans. The more we see of this flip flopping silver spooner, the less we like him. He recently said he was also “unemployed”, lets keep him that way! I can make sure Obama wins by asking all the repubs in front of the press “How old is the earth?” So not to offend the base the answers must be “biblically based” thousands instead of millions. That’s it, Game Over

      GINGRICH = Not Presidential Material

      PERR= Same as Above

      PAUL= Off balance

      SANTORUM= Snooze Fest

      which leaves all of America in relatively the same position we all were in 2008.

      We must vote for the best qualified Candidate of the bunch, which leaves us with no other option but Mitt Romney.

      Mr. Romney is certainly preferable over Obama on any given day and I am confident he will stimulate the economy with his business acumen and experience at a minimum. What I worry about with Romney are his obvious weaknesses:

      He vacillates and changes his mind with the wind.
      His lack of experience in Foreign Affairs.

      Romney is capable and the best shot America has at getting headed back in the right direction, IMO.

      more reports of election fraud … there were less than 30 for the entire 2008 election …so far over 10,000 for the GOP … let me see one more ACORN comment here …

      Mitt Romney’s razor-thin margin of victory in Iowa’s first-in-the-nation precinct caucuses Tuesday has been called into dispute.

      A southern Iowa supporter of Texas Rep. Ron Paul has filed a notarized statement claiming former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum is the real winner. Edward L. True has informed the Republican Party of Iowa there was a 20-vote error in the caucus results from Appanoose County.

      According to True, the number of votes Romney received from Washington Wells Precinct in Appanoose County was inflated by 20 when recorded by the state GOP
