RSSSuspect Arrested and in Police Custody in Case of Missing 3 Year Old Breeann Rodriguez (UPDATE: Shawn Morgan Arrested, First Desgree Murder)
Three year old Breeann Rodriguez has been missing since Saturday, August 6, 2011; however, there has been a break in the case. According to Dunklin County police they have arrested a suspect in the little three year old’s disappearance.The unnamed suspect is from Senath; however, is not related to the family. He is being held Dunklin County Justice Center pending formal charges.
Missing: Breeann Rodriguez, Missing Exploited Children
Police in Dunklin County have a suspect in custody in the case of missing 3-year-old Breeann Rodriguez, and are set to hold a press conference at Noon in Kennett.
Police say the suspect is from the Senath or surrounding area and is not related to the family. The suspect is being held at the Dunklin County Justice Center pending formal charges. There is no more information on the identity of the suspect available. The man’s name is being withheld pending formal charges.
Police say even though a suspect is in custody, Breeann is still missing.
The Dunklin County Major Case Squad, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Missouri Department of Conservation are currently searching for the girl’s body and her bicycle in an undisclosed area in Dunklin County.
Breeann Rodriguez was last seen August 6, 2011 riding her pink bicycle in front of her home in nearby Senath. On Thursday of this week, two small bicycle training wheels were found in an area of “heavy brush” located approximately two miles away from Breeann’s home. The FBI said may have come from the Breeann’s bicycle.
According to authorities, they are searching for the girl’s body and her bicycle in an undisclosed area in Dunklin County. One has to wonder whether the police have been provided information from the suspect as to the whereabouts of Breeann’s body in lieu of a lesser charge for his cooperation?
Dunklin County Prosecutor’s Office said that they would not comment further and will release more information after the suspect is formally charged.
UPDATE I: 43 year old neighbor Shawn Morgan Arrested and charged with first degree murder.
Shawn Morgan, 43, of Ode Johnson Street in Senath, Mo., faces charges of first-degree murder, armed criminal action and tampering with physical evidence. Authorities said they believe Morgan suffocated Breeann, although as of Saturday evening, they were still searching for her body and her bicycle in an undisclosed part of the county.

Hmnnnnnnnn….the suspect arrested is NOT a family member, interesting.
Do we dare ask WHERE is Breeann…..so many times it leads us to an answer we do not like.

Interesting that the newly arrest suspect is NOT a family member.
Here is the part when LE gets very quiet, suspect lawyers up- family still suffers—and most of us dread the answer which we are afraid we already know…this little one is not coming back…

I think the reason they are stressing NOT a family member is because both parents are reported to have failed polygraphs. I believe guilt for leaving her outside alone may have been a factor in that. Or maybe an aquaintence did this? We;ll know soon enough.
There’s not much you can do once a predator has set his site on you. Obviously, this person was waiting and watching for his window of opportunity..
which can be a mere second in time.

My prayers are with Breeann’s family who never deserved such tragedy in their lives. I pray, with all my heart, that God’s grace and mercy be upon them… blessing them all the days of their lives. Such a heartbreak… we all weep for Breeann and pray there come a time when the hearts of mankind will shun what is bad that we can live in peace and security.
I don’t think anything about her being on the ladder of the pool is true. He was probably going to make up a story about her drowning in the pool and his statement is mixed up with lies. Usually, these people are euphoric after committing their murder and if the police are onto them, there’s no telling what might come out of their mouths… including things that in a crazy way blame the victim… ie she was on the ladder! If he was, in fact, the one who sent LE looking for a perp in a cargo van with no windows and a ladder on the back… you can see how he is mixing up all his lies with a common thread that nay or may not be based on fact; but is an indication of the confused and wasted feeling or emotions that follow the sense of euphoric climax. Usually, the child is sexually assaulted by their predator. Her autopsy should provide us with the truth about what he did to BreeAnn.
From what I’ve read, his wife and children are being scrutinized by the community. Whether they knew about his sickness, I don’t know. But it wouldn’t be the first time a pediphiles family is aware and in some cases participates in the assault. I’m biting my tongue until the autopsy and the final investigation is complete.
