RSSDNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz Gives Pass to Anthony Weiner and Weinergate Because He’s a Democrat
WEINER HYPOCRITE!!! Why can’t Democrats just call “Weinergate” for what it really is, or are they proud of such expressions of Freedom of Speech?
What a shock that Democrat Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the DNC Chair and New York US Rep has a double standard when it comes to one of her own vs. a Republican. Wasserman-Schultz continued to say in an interview on CNN with Wolf Blitzer that US Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) is dealing with a personal matter and it should be dealt with in a personal matter. So “Weinergate” is a personal matter, really?
However, as Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion opines, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz had quite a differing opinion when it came to Republican US Rep. Foley. Wasserman-Schultz had also been vocal in the recent surprise Democrat victory in NY-26 special election. Of course it was a special election because GOP Rep. Lee resigned in disgrace due to shirtless pics released on Craig’s List. Hmm, does that sound similar to Anthony Weiner and his “weiner” tweets. However, Chris Lee resigned … Anthony Weiner just makes excuses, claims he was hacked and does a less than poor job of damage control.
What was Wasserman-Schultz referring to in that 2006 quote? The behavior of Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL . . . are you watching those party labels?), who made advances towards 18 and 21 year old young men.
In fact, she went as far as to demand the resignation of then Speaker Denny Hastert for not addressing the Foley matter quickly enough.
Unbelievable that the DNC Chair does not have the common decency to say it was wrong and ask for his resignation, instead she say its a personal matter. Hmm, she didn’t deny it was Weiner’s wiener, she merely said it was a personal matter. I guess a pic of one’s wiener” certainly is personal.

Mark Foley and Wienergate are not equal.
For Mark Foley you had a habitual sexual harasser who harassed very young men who felt harassed and characterized it as such. This went on for over 10 years, and many in congress knew about it and turned a blind eye.
Add the fact that the victims were congressional pages, where there is a very strict hands-off policy that, when violated, seriously undermines a tradition.
The fact that he had a very anti-gay agenda and was looking to hook up with male congressional pages is icing on the scandal cake that would have forced his own party to oust him.
There could (and possibly should) have been criminal charges, though there were none brought up.

Now with Wiener, we have a congressman who (presumably) send a weird picture of his underwear/crotch to a young woman he has never met. She did not feel harassed (except by the media) therefore was there was no harassment.
No laws were broken, no official ethics violations have been brought up. The picture itself is strange, but falls short of porn.
And, although he is word-smithing his response, he isn’t really lying about it; his responses are evasive but obviously so.
Which makes the whole thing weird and semi-lurid, but no Mark Foley. I don’t approve of sending crotch pics to random people on the internet; but at this time I think this is for the voters to decide on.
The Democrats are finally wising up, the republicans have been playing hardball for years and the stupid spineless democrats have been taking it.

If you think all that Weiner did was send just pics of himself in his skippies obviously aroused then you are naive. This is only the start of the women and the pics that will come forward; ALONG; with the text messages.

No, they are not. One is consensual, and one is not. Big difference. Until there is evidence suggesting that what he did was not consensual, it the assumption that it was predatorial (sp?) is not one that I am comfortable to make.

Of course it is predatorial (sp?)…are you kidding me? Any logical person can see this man is predatorial and his behavior is predatorial. Is he not someone who seeks or seeked these unassuming women? Is he not the one in his texts that says he is “stalking” someone?
There are different meanings and interpretations of predatorial.
People are so naive to think this was just a “sexting” issue. This man has undoubtedly had a real human type of affair with one or may more of these women.
