Every Memorial Day, families and communities across the nation take time to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation. There are parades and picnics and concerts in the park. Many people today view it as simply another long weekend that marks the beginning of summer.
This Memorial Day, I’d like to ask you to be a hero and purchase a Care Package for one of our brave service members.
The teams are combining their efforts to help sell Care Packages for our troops serving in the Middle East, Iraq and Afghanistan. Prices range from $24.99 for individual troops to battalion packages priced at $999.99.
Most importantly, each care package will include a personal message written by you where you can express your gratitude to our military.
Move America Forward is a 501(C)3 charitable organization, so all care package donations are tax deductible.

On this day I remember and thank those that have given their lives and have served in the US Armed Forces and have sinced passed.
I think of my namesake, my Uncle who served in WWII in Patton’s 3rd Army. The stories he would tell and the condition he came back from Europe with frost bite while in the Ardennes Forest, the scrapel in his body that he lived with until the day he died. The heroics and men he saved while achieving the Silver & Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
How I miss him so much and always make an effort to see him in Arlington National Cemetary when I am near the area.
So many brave men & woman … thank you for keeping us free.
