Sarah Palin, kicked off her Nationwide bus tour today, but not first without riding on a hog with “ROLLING THUNDER”. In the end, there was no controversy as Palin just wanted to dress in black, ride a hog and honor the memory of our fallen military heroes.
Wearing black from head to toe, the Republicans’ 2008 vice presidential nominee stopped at a thousands-strong motorcycle ride from the Pentagon to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Palin, who is mulling a White House run, was joined by her family.
Who wound want this to be on their bucket list? Riding with “Rolling Thunder” and honoring the memories of our fallen heroes on Memorial Day in Washington, DC. Does it not get any American than that? As stated at ABC News, the Rolling Thunder riders praised Sarah Palin’s participation in today’s rally.It is what the LEFT both does not understand and fears of Sarah Palin, both at the same time. Sarah Palin’s appeal is that she can hunt, fish, ride a hog and look perfectly normal doing so. Oh yeah, she’s a politician too. Sorry, it is not Palin’s fault that the MSM feels the need to hound the event with photographers.
ABC News’ Sheila Marikar [@sheilaym] reports: For the riders of Rolling Thunder, the news that Sarah Palin will participate in their national rally on Sunday came as a surprise. A welcome surprise.
“I think that’s wonderful,” said Gerri Tramel, president of one of Rolling Thunder’s Tennessee chapters. “Anybody that’s involved — Republican, Democrat, independent, whatever — if you’re involved with our veterans, I think that’s wonderful. Not just Sarah Palin – anyone that’s a politician.”

She could have rode in the event without making it the headline of her “will-she-run parade” When she did that, the photographers became “her fault”, if there is blame to be assigned.
As it is, I knew very little about the event at all, and now I do…so there was a purpose served.

I knew it was memorial day Motorcycle thing, but nothing more than that. I have never really cared much about motorcycles. not disliked them, but indifferent.
Wow. Shame on her for stealing the show. This was not for her…This was for us veterans. Once again she thinks more of herself than of the reason for the ride. Shame on her! She would never be offer a ride on my hog.
Sarah Palin is a media hoging, selfish, self centered, unintelligent, piss poor candidate for political office. I am a service disabled Vietnam Veteran, and I am shocked and disturbed that any veteran biker would allow her aboard his bike and thus take away the focus on the respect that we pay for our fallen members on this great day. This goes for anyone else who embraced and endorsed her presence with Rolling Thunder. She can shoot all the Moose she wants, and she may see Russia from her back porch, but she has not and never will see what we have seen, go where we have gone and do what we have done. I think she should apoligize for using such a solemn ocassion for her personl platform. Unacceptable! Unacceptable! Unacceptable! Shame on you Sarah Palin. Your conduct was unbecoming, disrespectful and disgusting.

Rolling thunder is a great thing I have rode in it many times with my UAW brothers.I have to say this Sarah Palin is a joke the only reason for showing up was for TV..etc.She doesn’t have a clue what Vet go thur from day to day..My dad is a Army @ Navy Vet was in WW2 ,Korea and Nam ( with the 1st CAV )..We must never forget are men & women that put their self in Harms way for us.My heart is with everyone of them…
