It what is the work kept secret in the MSM, Katie Couric says she is leaving CBS News.The suspicions and speculation that was pretty much a sure bet in Vegas, as reported at the Daily Caller, Couric announces that she is officially out at CBS News.
“I have decided to step down from the CBS Evening News,” Couric tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I’m really proud of the talented team on the CBS Evening News and the award-winning work we’ve been able to do in the past five years in addition to the reporting I’ve done for 60 Minutes and CBS Sunday Morning.
Couric did not have any set plans for the future. What is in store for a news reader who is a part of a news media whose best days are long since gone?

The Donald may have dealt the “Trump” card after all. Many have said that the “birther” issue was a loser for Donald Trump. Really? In a recent USA Today poll, only 38% of Americans definitely believe that President Barack Hussein Obama was born in the United States. 38%!!! This is certainly representative of a cross section of many more people that do not believe Obama was born in America than democrats would lead you to believe. 38%!!!
The so-called ‘birther’ conspiracy appears to have maintained its traction on American voters ahead of next year’s elections, as a new poll shows fewer than four in 10 believe President Barack Obama was definitely born in the U.S.
However, the theory appears to have backfired on its most high-profile proponent, as it emerged that fewer than half believe Donald Trump was definitely born in the country.
As stated by Weasel Zippers, there must be many more closet racists than MSNBC thought.
The Hill brings up some other polling data from the USA Today/Gallup poll, namely that Americans oppose 2012 GOP hopefuls as much as they do Obama. However, Obama is the incumbent, such negatives are more detrimental to an incumbent President residing over a terrible economy, no jobs, inflated unemployment, high gas prices and a Middle East in flames. What do such numbers tell us? All it will take is a yet unnamed GOP candidate who inspires the electorate, connects with the people and explains a comprehensive way for America to get on track and become energy independent to walk away with the 2012 election.

From the president who never met a Muslin holiday he did not like or did not feel the need to issue a public proclamation for comes Barack Hussein Obama’s lack of an Easter message. What is wrong with this President that he cannot seem fit to issue a public proclamation for a Christan holiday? Is this a character flaw or is there a more insidious issue?
Just when I thought the current team running the White House might have used up all its allotted mistakes comes word that President Obama failed to issue either an Easter or a Good Friday greeting to the nation.
Now, let’s forget for a moment that these greetings, which presidents issue on many holidays and commemorations of events, are largely perfunctory and symbolic gestures that nobody cares about.
Then to make matters worse, Obama’s own Presidential Press Secretary Carney laughs off Barack Obama not giving and Easter statement. What is wrong with this Administration? Seriously.

Search Continues Monday for Missing Holly Bobo in Tennessee, ‘Significant Item’ Recovered
The search for 20 year old Holly Bobo will continue Monday after what investigators are saying has been the recovery of a significant item. Although the item is not being described because it would jeopardize the integrity of the investigation, reports have it that it was found Easter Sunday afternoon. Could this significant item be the necessary clue that will provide a break though in finding Holly Bobo? The 20 year old nursing student has been missing since the morning of April 13, 2011 when she was abducted by a nab wearing camouflage from her home.
And mid-way through the day, there was a breakthrough.
Investigators say they found something. They won’t say what, but they will say it’s significant enough to make them want to continue searching the area for at least one more day.
“It makes you feel great — Easter Sunday and finding some good information,” said Bobo family spokesperson Kevin Bromely. “Hopefully we can expand the search and find out more tomorrow.”
Hopefully this will be the clue that breaks the case and finds Holly Bobo. We all hope and pray that it does for the family and loved ones of Holly Bobo.
