As reported at CNS News comes the following “tax and spend” mentality of uber-Lib Barack Obama.
Deficits are not the only thing that could mortgage America’s future, President Barack Obama told Democratic donors in New York on Thursday. He stressed that if government does not spend money in certain areas, it would be mortgaging the country’s future.
“There’s more than one way to mortgage America’s future,” Obama said at The Town Hall in New York. “We mortgage that future if we don’t get a handle on our deficit and debt, but we also mortgage it if we’re not investing in those things that will assure the promise of the American Dream for the next generation.”
As the Gateway Pundit says, “Wait a minute, I thought a mortgage was borrowing. Now not borrowing is mortgaging? And they wonder why we want to see his college transcripts.” This man has to go in 2012.

College transcripts? How about his high school transcripts. If you make poor grades at high school, how are you going to understand college work?
Of course you didn’t mention the work that Harry Ried and Nancy did in the Senate and House. They were the ones doing the real work. I don’t think Barry can count by himself.

Mortgage is a noun and a verb.

1. To pledge or convey (property) by means of a mortgage.
2. To make subject to a claim or risk; pledge against a doubtful outcome: mortgaged their political careers by taking an unpopular stand.
Funding a proper education system is investing in our future generations,and not doing so is saving money now at a risk to that future generation;
thus saving money now at a risk to the next generation is mortgaging their future. Education and maintenance of infrastructure both fall into this area.
At this time, we need to look at areas and make intelligent decisions that are also fiscally prudent. Obamas point is a good one, question is only if he is right person to trust in carrying it out.
trump said he was a poor student. i guess math wasn’t one of his better subjects.
trump has said a lot of things lately; most of them grandstanding with no substance at all.
More factual is that Obama has said that in high school is wasn’t a “superstar student”; or words to that affect, which have been turned into him being a poor student, which is totally subjective.
Fact is that he graduated from Harvard Law School with a 3.74 or higher; and you don’t get there if you start out stupid.
His race might have opened some doors for him, but even if we allow ourselves a “racist moment”, he would still have been competing against all the other token-blacks applying for college that year; Harvard is not going to accept someone BECAUSE they are black, they are going to decide what % of their students shall be minorities, and then they fill those slots with the best minorities that they can find; so at the very least he was in that group, so his grades were pretty awesome in college any way you look at it.
To follow up on #6 –
Harvard Law is something like 33% minority to begin with, so they are not looking for token-anything. It is reasonable to assume that at Columbia his GPA was in the 3.8 or above range.

This is all just word-smithing and a sad game of who-uses-which-dictionary. The guy is smart and he has done remarkably well for himself; lets get over that and find a viable candidate that a moderate Democrat such as myself would consider voting for, or you all will be very, very cranky for another 4 years.

Think about it…Union Organizing, Community Organizing,
Population Organizing, etc., are all methods of controlling
groups of persons so that the ‘Organizer’ can siphon off and
spend their real and potential wealth in ways the ‘Organizer’
decides. Obama’s decisions on how and to whom the People’s
Money gets spent so far is a total failure and indicative of
how it would be handled in the future. Right now the guy is
spending our great grandchildren’s money like it was water.
He is knowingly or unknowingly creating government dependent
slaves on purpose or by ignorance. You decide!
