Worst Kept Secret … Katie Couric Leaving CBS Evening News

BREAKING NEWS, NOT …

It what is the work kept secret in the MSM, Katie Couric says she is leaving CBS News.The suspicions and speculation that was pretty much a sure bet in Vegas, as reported at the Daily Caller, Couric announces that she is officially out at CBS News.

“I have decided to step down from the CBS Evening News,” Couric tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I’m really proud of the talented team on the CBS Evening News and the award-winning work we’ve been able to do in the past five years in addition to the reporting I’ve done for 60 Minutes and CBS Sunday Morning.

Couric did not have any set plans for the future. What is in store for a news reader who is a part of a news media whose best days are long since gone?

I’ve always thought Katie would be an instant
success on a high end cooking show. Can’t
wait to hear what she is cooking up next.
