HEY BARACK … IT AIN’T EASY BEING GREEN. Especially when one doesn’t even try. The Obama hypocrisy continues.
President Barack Obama celebrated Earth Day why burning 53,000 gallons of jet fuel while telling us “little people” that we must sacrifice and be “green”. However, the do as I say, not as I do President tells us all to get fuel efficient hybrids and electric cars so that he can fly around on our dime. Its not as though Barack Obama was flying to see the US troops or conducting business of the United States, Obama burned this fuel so that he could conduct fund raising. What are the odds that Obama will be buying some carbon credits for All Gore? Of course he could not be reached for comment, rumor has it he was on his private jet as well.
President Obama declared today’s 41st annual Earth Day proof of America’s ecological and conservation spirit—then completed a three-day campaign-style trip logging 10,666 miles on Air Force One, eating up some 53,300 gallons at a cost of about $180,000. And that doesn’t include the fuel consumption of his helicopter, limo, or the 29 other vehicles that travel with that car.
“Green” is for thee, not for me. if it is not bad enough that Obama made no effort to conserve anything on earth day, including the hot air from his mouth by having the audacity to preach to the peons about Earth Day. Of course Obama’s stewardship and sacrifice was what exactly?
Obama proclaimed: “For over 40 years, our nation has come together on Earth Day to appreciate and raise awareness about our environment, natural heritage, and the resources upon which generations of Americans have depended. Healthy land and clean water and air are essential to the health of our communities and wildlife. Earth Day is an opportunity to renew America’s commitment to preserving and protecting the state of our environment through community service and responsible stewardship.”
Over at Michelle Malkin.com, they remind us of just how concerned Obama was with “Earth Day” with pics of litter from his 2009 inauguration. Aptly stated by Jammie Wearing Fool, let’s hope that we can make Obama’s words come to fruition about trading in gas guzzling, inefficient, burdens, namely Barack Obama in 2012.
Wait it gets better, not to be outdone by her jet fuel guzzling husband, Michelle Obama cancelled her Earth Day event due to a light drizzle. Oh those crazy ”GREEN” Obama’s. I wonder if she would have cancelled a vacation for the same reason?

obama is crowing about forming a group to search for illegal practices being involved in the high price of gas. does he think we’re so dumb that we forget that his energy secretary has been advocating $5.oo gas since before he was appointed by obama? the man 9s a sick joke and has thrown away any sense of credibility he had.

I was so depressed last night thinking about Taxes, Health Care Plans,the economy,the wars, Social Security, etc . . . I called a Suicide Hot line.
I had to press 1 for English. I was connected to a call center in Pakistan. I told them I was suicidal.

Isn’t it something how some people will do things totally ungreen while trying to be green. I knew a man that would refuse to drive a car to work because cars polluted the environment so he would take a big old smelly black smoking bus instead. Sure mass transit and car pooling save a little fuel but they are still polluters. I enjoyed your post.
I felt similarliy when he took office I researched Air Force 1. That is the moving Oval Office, it is staffed for the President and MUST log so many miles each month, be prepared at all times for him and is considered training for its staff. It is what was set up for the President and has been used by his predecesors. At least he was stumping and not sittin on a stump at some ranch in Texas. Yee to the haw!

How much are we paying for gas, bread, milk? How much is your house worth now (if you even own one) since the big Bail Outs the Chosen One awarded all the banks?
How are all those “no new taxes” working out for you this year and last? How much did your Income Tax Refund DECREASE since the Obamamessiah has been in Office?
How is those trillions of dollars of National Debt going to affect you, your Children or your Grandchildren in a few years? How’s your pension (if there is anything left?) How do you think you will be able to retire by age 63-65 when the Soc. Security Program will most likely be defunct by then?
How’s that Hopey-Changey thing working out for you?
How is it that your hero you were bamboozled into voting for promised to withdraw Troops from the Middle East in 90 days- and we still have various units deployed in Afghanistan?
How does it feel that the recipient of that BOGUS Noble Peace Prize just entered the US into a CIVIL WAR in Libya that we have no business being involved in?
