Zombieland II & Twinkies: Chicago School Bans Bagged Lunches Brought from Home
UNREAL … WHO EVER HEARD OF NOT BRINGING YOU PB&J, ORANGE, TWINKIES AND BEVERAGE OF CHOICE TO SCHOOL IN YOUR SCOOBY-DOO, MYSTERY MACHINE LUNCH BOX.
Liberal educators are against a student’s right to choose, at least when it comes to bagged lunches. Taking the rights away from parents yet again.

Public schools just do not quit. They cannot seem to properly educate our school children, but they certainly can take away their rights to prevent them from bringing bagged lunches to school. Some Chicago schools have banned bagged lunches stating, students are not allowed to pack lunches from home. Unless they have a medical excuse, they must eat the food served in the cafeteria. Once again “THEY” know better than you as Principal Elsa Carmona said, ”her intention is to protect students from their own unhealthful food choices”. Students, how about its the parents that are making the food choices. Read more at the Lonely Conservative, an individual hunkered down in their blue state bunker.
Fernando Dominguez cut the figure of a young revolutionary leader during a recent lunch period at his elementary school.
“Who thinks the lunch is not good enough?” the seventh-grader shouted to his lunch mates in Spanish and English.
Dozens of hands flew in the air and fellow students shouted along: “We should bring our own lunch! We should bring our own lunch! We should bring our own lunch!”
Fernando waved his hand over the crowd and asked a visiting reporter: “Do you see the situation?”
Warning: Language
Do failing schools really need to worry about controlling what children eat, or educating them? Democrats claim they want Republicans to stay out of their bedroom, LIBS … stay out of childrens bagged lunches. Is it any wonder why Woody Harrelson was on a mission for a Hostess Twinkies in Zombieland, he probably went to a Chicago school and was deprived of them.

Libs are so quick to take away choice when its not say, abortion.
STAY OUT OF KIDS BAGGED LUNCHES!
So this has been the school policy for over six years? Why is it breaking news now?
They also enforce school uniforms, so feel free to be outraged over that too.
Tidbit: 99.9% of the students enrolled are low-income, meaning that the school-provided lunches are free (taxpayers would argue the meaning of free).
A libtard principle who gets her ideas from the activities of our overweight first lady.
The Chicago school system is beyond help. The best thing would be to shut it down and give the parents vouchers to send the children to a school of their choice.
Short of buying a slave outright, the best way to own
one (in this day and age) is to supply food, healthcare
and housing to those who owe their soul to the Government
Store. If you do this Worldwide (new world order) there is
nowhere for the captive indentured folks to flee to. Nice
coup if it can be pulled off.

…that tidBit is indeed a tasty morsel and you may be right, follow the money.
“…But the policy benefits the CPS food contractor, Chartwells-Thompson, which is paid based on the number of lunches it serves. ”

Well let’s see, if 99.9% are on free lunches, how about a reward (bring your own lunch) for those that choose not to suck off the taxpayers?
There are plenty of reasons for allowing parents and students to choose their own lunch. Oh and BTW, it’s not like the school lunch program is sooooooooo wonderful – it’s full of canned food, starches and cheap choices (like canned fruit in heavy fructose syrup). It is NOT full of fresh fruits and vegetables and quality food.
Chicago would control what kids eat while they praise Michelle Obama for smackin on poke ribs and collard greens.

For me personally, it is difficult to presume I understand the current situation. Though it is hard to imagine that the home-brought lunches were SOOO bad as to warrant a ban on them, I am inclined to give some benefit of doubt to the administrator who invented the rule.
This is an old policy…way predates any “Obama policy” so lets leave that out of it. The school made this decision 6 years ago.
If the motive is financial, then that is obviously a terrible thing; but the policy is an old one and it still stands, which means it has passed the sniff-test of the school board and countless school board meetings where the outraged parents could have spoken their minds and made this a media issue long before now.
Taking the responsibility of raising children away
from the parents and assigning it to the schools
is uncalled for. Owning the children and their
government dependent parents seems to be the objective.
Humans, owned by others, are essentially slaves.
So, this is what the ‘Ministry’ of Education is about.
[...] As far as I can tell kids will still be able to bring whatever they want to school for lunch. But there have already been calls by liberals to outlaw packed lunches, and in Chicago they implemented a ban in 2011. [...]
