Are you serious, another Obama vacation? Barack Obama with yet another example of more Presidental skin in the game …
Whether the government is on the verge of shutting down or not, what is up with this President going on yet another vacation? As reported at the Daily Press, President Obama and the First Family are planning to visit the Colonial Williamsburg. They are calling it a long planned family trip. And to make matters worse, on Thursday morning, the Federal Aviation Administration established a no-fly zone over Williamsburg that will be in place from Friday through Monday.
So the question remains, will Barack Obama have the audacity to take this vacation if the government shuts down? Also, the question needs to be asked why Obama and Michelle think its ok to continuously take vacations when most of America cannot afford to. Did Obama run for President so that he could receive the perks of the job? It is certainly looking that way. One would think that a President would have a bit more empathy for the plight of Americans and not continue to take a vacation or going golf at every opportunity. Not only have people questioned whether Obama has the ability to lead and is late to the show when dealing with important issues like Libya and the budget crisis resulting in a possible government shut down … Obama gives the perception that he is not engaged with the disastrous situation in America.
Just the other day Obama stated that he “remembered what it was like to pump gas”. Maybe Obama would also like to show “We the People” that he remembers what it is like to do without. As the Lonely Conservative opines, “while so many Americans suffer through this rotten economy and endure the inflation caused by his policies, we can still live vicariously through the Obama family. Lucky us”. No wonder Obama wanted an answer on the budget battle this morning and the pending government shut down because he has a vacation planned for this weekend.
UPDATE I: Doug Ross has Obama’s calendar and asks the question … Is this the calendar of a President concerned with a budget, a government shutdown, the troops, unemployment or rising gas prices. The answer would be no.
2012 cannot come soon enough.

Both Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D Roosevelt took vacation time and we were embroiled in World Wars during both of their presidencies.
When it comes to doing his job, the president is no better or worse than any other president we’ve had. No, wait, I take that back. He’s definitely better than the last clown that was in office, LOL. Additionally, even if he is on vacation the president is always on call and he has proven that he can do more than one thing at a time.

Jeez louise. Obama takes about as much vacation as Bush did. When Bush was away in Crawford or Maine, conservatives defended him stating that he still had access to his daily CIA and other security briefings and has all communications tools at his dispoal, and some of his top aides traveling with him. All true. When Obama travels, he also gets his daily security briefings and communications are also with him, as well as some of his top aides. No different as when Bush and other Presidents in both parties were away from the White House on business or pleasure. It is hypocricy to bash Obama to no end, but not have any problem when a Republican President does the same thing.
I wasn’t happy when Bush was chopping wood and also relaxing in Crawford during the entire month of August every year he was President except in 2004 when he was up for re-election. While he was down there, it looked bad while our troops were dying in Iraq. I am also not happy with Obama flying off to Hawaii for two weeks every December, living like a rich millionaire in a multi-million dollar beach house from one of his rich friends while the economy is in the tank and people are hurting. At least I’m consistent in criticizing both parties and not a hypocrite about it.
There is plenty to be unhappy about when it comes to Obama. But picking a fight over doing something that all other Presidents have done in the past, and will do in the future, isn’t the right fight to pick and get in a tizzy about.

Scott Brown is no RINO in my book anyway (and of course, I am partial to him as he came from Mass) he needs more experience in the Senate until he can run, IMO but I would vote for him in a heartbeat. I like him and Gail Brown his Wife, too—she would someday make a wonderful First Lady if that scenario ever comes to it’s fruition.
