The Complete Out of Touch & Elitist President … Obama: “I Remember What It Was Like Pumping Gas”
Let them Eat Cake … “I remember what it was like pumping gas” …as he laughs. Nice joke Mr. President. Obama states that there is nothing he can do to lower current oil prices. Really Mr. President, nothing? Is it you can’t do or just do not want to do?

“I remember that,” Obama added.
“I’m just going to be honest with you. There’s not much we can do next week or two weeks from now,” Obama said earlier today about gas prices.
Unbelievable that a President can joke about the skyrocketing gas prices that “We the People” pay. What is wrong with this clown that he jokes about the pain that people pay at the pump and then blames us for having gas guzzlers. The One cannot blame this one on GWB, the increase in gas prices have occurred under Obama. Isn’t it interesting that the AP completely changed their original story about Obama and his gas price remarks. How unlike the state run media. However, what the AP forgets is that we are in the age of the Internet and Instapundit has the original story (screen shot) that they have taken down scrubbed.
“Obama needled one questioner who asked about gas prices, now averaging close to $3.70 a gallon nationwide, and suggested that the gentleman consider getting rid of his gas-guzzling vehicle.”
More from the Herald News:
“I’m just going to be honest with you. There’s not much we can do next week or two weeks from now,” the president told workers at a wind turbine plant. It’s a theme Obama’s struck before as he tries to show voters he’s attuned to a top economic concern with gas prices pushing toward $4 a gallon.
Of course it’s a different story if you are Barack Obama and the vehicle you are driven around in.
“If you’re complaining about the price of gas and you’re only getting 8 miles a gallon, you know,” Obama said laughingly. “You might want to think about a trade-in.”
So as The Other McCain opines, how will Obama’s Libyan war affect gas prices … expect soon to see $150 per barrel prices later this year … Thanks Barack! 2012 cannot come fast enough.
UPDATE I: From the LA Times, will gas prices tank Oabma’s 2012 White House run? I realize this is a tough idea for Obama to grasp as he is one of the most unqualified individuals ever to hold the office of the Presidency of the US … but the increased gas prices are just one of the many things that will tank Obama in 2012. Nice try by the MSM to tie Obama’s fate to something that he supposedly cannot change. However, add gas prices to the economy, Obamacare, unemployment, out of control spending, record federal deficits, home foreclosures, bankruptcies and the over all apathy of Obama is cannot lead on domestic or foreign affairs.
For much of President Obama’s term, White House aides were convinced the main barrier to his reelection was the worrisome unemployment rate. But even as the economy bounces back, a new political obstacle has emerged: rising gas prices.
It certainly does not help when Obama seemlingly just laughs away “We the People’s” pain at the pump. Never has a president been such a comedian and clown when it came to people’s pain. Say goodbye in 2012 Obama, you have more than earned your pink slip.

If this isn’t a case for out of touch of reality, we the people have never seen one.
His hard headed, wreck the nation, leftist views are now known by most. To think that he has the audacity to try and run for another term shows what an idiot he realy is.
Three things need to happen to get this country back on energy independence.
1. Kick the EPA to the curb and put them out of business forever;
2. Get the federal dept. of energy working for the people;
3. Drill everywhere in the U.S. and build some new refinery capacity.
The state of our energy industry raises a national security risk as does the lack of manufacturing capacity.
Ya just got to laugh some times.
The liberals are asking us to give Obama time. We agree . . . and think 25 to life would be appropriate.

Unfortunately for all of us, there is something wrong with the president. He suffers from a personality disorder and believes what his puppeteers tell him. I was surprised also, to see the pure arrogance that Eric Holder displayed the other day when making the announcement that the terrorist trial wouldn’t be held in NY. These men, and others in this administration, don’t understand that they are not royalty but are public servants. Obama cannot relate to people or come off as a “regular” guy – because he isn’t.
He is so out of touch with real Americans. When was the last time he pumped gas or even had to pay for a tank of gas?
I don’t drive a gas guzzler but I still have to pay $3.60 a gallon for gas and I still have to drive 60 plus miles a day to & from work to work 25 hours.
Yes, the economy is doing so well.
He’s a pathetic excuse for a President.
It’s not like he had a real job pumping gas, but, before he
landed this luxurious position in the regime, he may have
had to pump his own fuel into his vehicle. Having had to
actually work for a living would have shaped his views better.
obama hs never had to work for a living. he has always teleprompted his way through life. and only the weak minded have listened to the lies and propaganda.

Haiti? Japan? Iraq/Iran and now Pakistan for Sesame Street programming. This Man has lost it’s mind and the Government is threatening to close down our National Parks and Museums…..
HELLLLLLLLLLLLO? Who else is paying attention out there but us, America?
Wake up and smell the coffee—-it’s already too late. I am very afraid my children, who are just barely teenagers will even be able to find a job once they graduate College.
The Banking Industry is going to be forced to lower rates again though, about the only good news out of this whole catastrophy while all the CEO’s have already made billions and retired with their huge pension deals. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
and….btw….where the hell did the Obamasiah ever pump gas in his life?
In Hawaii? In Cambridge, MA while attending Harvard? In Chi-Town. He is so full of it, I bet he never pumped gas in his life.
