RSS18 Year Old University of Washington Undergrad Marizela Perez Missing Since 3/5/11 … the Cousin of Michelle Malkin
The cousin of blogger Michelle Malkin is missing.
18 year old University of Washington undergrad Marizela Perez has been missing since March 5, 2011. According to reports, Marizela Perez left her Rainier Beach neighborhood at about noon Saturday when she was headed for rail station at Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Othello Street to go to the UW Seattle campus. According to Michelle Malkin, her parents have been trying to reach her all weekend; she apparently never made it to campus and has not been heard from by phone/Internet.

Perez is described as Asian, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 110 pounds, has a thin build and has a “bob” haircut. She was wearing jeans and brown suede boots and may have been wearing green contact lenses. She has a tattoo on her left inner arm with words in Tagalog.

- She is described as Asian
- Height: 5’5”
- Weight: 110 lbs, skinny build
- Hair: asymmetrical bob with short bangs and brown/red highlights hairstyle
- tattoo on left inner arm with the words ‘lahat ay magiging maayos.’
- She was wearing denim jeans, light brown suede laced boots
- possibly wearing green eye contacts.
- She may also be carrying a plaid backpack with a Macbook Pro laptop.

UPDATE I: From Michelle Malkin …
The Seattle PD says it has probable visual identification of Marizela boarding the Othello train near her home in the Rainier Beach area and commuting into the University District during the noon hour on Saturday. A Seattle PD detective from the missing persons bureau says there’s evidence that she was last seen Saturday afternoon at the Safeway in the city’s University District on 4732 Brooklyn Ave NE between 1-2pm. At some point during that time, purchases were made on her debit card.
The police say they “have no reason to suspect foul play” at this point. There are several reasons and grim evidence that cause the family to remain gravely concerned about Marizela’s safety, health, and well-being. As mentioned yesterday in the flyers the family is handing out, Marizela was taking anti-depressants and has been for some time. As my family gets on the ground to continue the search for Marizela, please continue to get the word out to anyone in the Seattle-area you know. Here’s the updated info on her last known location/time. If anyone saw or talked to her in the University District Saturday afternoon or has seen her since, please contact law enforcement ASAP
